I've had Goldendoodles for years and I'm very, very particular about their grooming. I'm a total perfectionist (my career coach once said I might be the biggest one he's ever met -- not a compliment, but true ). I've tried around 20 groomers before finding Steven, and truly, no one compares. He's not just a groomer; he's an artist. I can walk in and simply say, "something like a teddy bear face," and he knows exactly what to do. Every time my dogs come home, they look flawless -- soft, clean, perfectly shaped, and actually happy. He just gets it. Steven is affordable, consistent, and a total hidden gem in Houston. If you're looking for the best Goldendoodle groomer, poodle cut specialist, or someone who truly cares about detail, Steven at Puddy Cuts is your guy. I honestly hope he never retires. read more

Puddy Cuts - This is Dolly's post-groom smile -- I swear she knows how good she looks Steven at Puddy Cuts is a miracle worker! - Pet Groomers Near Me - Houston, Texas

Steven did an excellent job with my mini poodle Bunny! For the first time, we finally found a groomer who knows how to truly groom a poodle - cute, neat & professional haircut. Also it is very important to note that after grooming there were absolutely no cuts or irritation on my puppy. Previously, we had several bad experiences with groomers who would either make my puppy look like a Maltese or leave him with cuts or horrible irritations. I also have to mention that Steven is a professional & patient groomer and also he listens to how a customer wants the puppy to look like. I would definitely recommend Puddy Cuts to all my closest friends & family!!! read more

Puddy Cuts - My beautifully groomed by Puddy Cuts poodle! - Pet Groomers Near Me - Houston, Texas

Puddy Cuts is the most inviting dog grooming salon I have ever had the delight of visiting. It's located in a cute house surrounded by a huge, green yard with beautiful trees. Bernie, my new-to-me 9 year old Maltichon, jumped out of the car and immediately started prancing through the yard with a big smile. (The Maltese smile is adorable if you haven't seen it before.) I could tell Bernie was going to love this place. How did I know *I* was going to like Puddy Cuts? As I walked up, I could see Steven grooming another pup. He looked completely relaxed and obviously takes pride in every cut. Steven also recognized Bernie has a little separation anxiety and immediately knew how to calm Bernie's nerves. I've never felt so comfortable leaving my doggie for grooming. Oh yeah, the cut. Phenomenal, just perfect. Exactly how I requested, and Steven's suggestions made Bernie even cuter. Bernie's nails were even perfectly cut and filed. So glad I found Puddy Cuts and Steven! read more

Puddy Cuts - I got groomed at Puddy Cuts today and I like it. - Bernie - Pet Groomers Near Me - Houston, Texas

I'm so thrilled that my sweet girl gets groomed by the best groomer! He has such a calming presence and I've never felt safer leaving my dog with someone. Even better, he knows what he's doing and does it very well! My dog has never looked better. Now, I feel the need to address the negative comments, as they were not warranted. Steven works out of his home and has one table for grooming. His schedule is set, and his business is booming because of him! Hiring another person wouldn't help because everyone goes to Puddy Cuts for Steven! He has regular clients that fill up a majority of his appointments which is why he's booked all the time. We love taking our dogs to him and make damn sure to book several appointments at a time. The first time I called, his first opening was 2 months out, so I booked it. The woman who says he caters to new clients only is incorrect. He treats everyone equally and books appointments as they are requested. Two other people gave him a bad review for him being busy. That just being ridiculous. He is busy because he's that good. Clients of his know this and take the appointments we can get! read more

Sooo... Apparently Puddy Cuts is no longer taking on any new clients, and is only working with current customers they have?! Im confused! You have a business, i need your business..And yet you are turning me away? Hmmmm.. read more

Stellar service! My first trip to Puddy Cuts was yesterday and I am more than impressed. My long haired chihuahua has never had a groomer really style her hair or give her a good haircut. He was thorough and gentle and Tia shed her long locks and has a beautiful summer cut complete with a poofy neck hair to fram her face like I had requested. Bring your poochy to Steve to beautify and pamper them! read more

Puddy Cuts - Pet Groomers Near Me - Houston, Texas

Getting our dog groomed has become the most stressful chore in our household. We've been through soooo many different groomers around town and have yet to settle on one who is consistent and affordable. Luckily we found Puddy Cuts, and it's made our grooming trips so much easier! Steve is a fantastic groomer! I've taken my little cock-a-poo to see Steve sporadically over the past year, and now that he is so highly in-demand we have a standing 6-week appointment. Steve's prices are extremely reasonable compared to the competition, and all communication can be done over text which is extremely convenient. His cuts are very consistent, and far better than the groomer we have used at chain-pet stores. Grooming usually takes around 2 hours for our smaller dog (24-pounds). Scheduling may be a little difficult now that Steve is so busy, but it's definitely worth it to get a standing appointment! read more

We have used Steven for sitting and grooming and he is literally the BEST!!! Easy to communicate, affordable and he does a great job.

Steve is the best groomer I know. He is very gentle and knowledgeable. My dog Wolfie is an Australian Labradoodle. After Steve's miracle touch on him, Wolfie turns to such a handsome dog! Finally we can see his black gem eyes full of wonder and joy! Thank you Steve! read more

Forgot to add another review on Puddy Cuts' boarding. I have left my girls there a few times now, once even a whole week while I was out of the country. Absolutely love leaving them here. I've had at least one friend use Puddy Cuts and was very happy. And the pricing is very good! read more

I tried to schedule an appointment Friday for Boston but sadly he was all booked up. I was placed on the waiting list and received a call the next day of an opening. I was so happy that I decided to try out Puddy Cuts. He was so kind and seemed so gentle with my dog. I would recommend him if you are looking for a groomer. Luckily for me, he isn't far from my residence. I will definitely be back for future appointments. read more

My wife and I were taking a trip to Houston and needed a boarding location in the city so we could keep our dog I between Dallas and Houston. Searching blindly on Yelp, we found Puddy Cuts and took a chance. It was a great choice! We got stuck in traffic and ended up being about two hours late but no issues, he still took her without complaints. In fact when we came to pick her up, he even undercharged us just because! But he has a nice setup in his home tucked just outside of the city. Our dog seemed to take well in our 2.5 day absence! Great choice and we will use again if we need a place for our dog for sure. read more

Could not be more grateful for an amazing groomer. Our elder Shih-Tzu, Tipper has multiple health issues, all of which require medication....heart condition, skin allergies, and for the past several months (non-contagious) skin infections. We have been making repeated visits to the doggie cardiologist and doggie dermatologist, and she is taking numerous medications in an attempt to keep her as healthy as possible. Compared to the other beautiful dogs at Puddy Cuts, Tipper looks like a mess when she arrives, but by the time she leaves she is once again a pretty dog. The service we receive continues to be top notch. We are so happy to have a place that Tipper can get beautified as she continues to age. read more

Wonderful place to take a pet. I have been very happy with the grooming of my dog and Steve's ability to accommodate my schedule. I had to board my dog for the day today and it was so easy and affordable. Will definitely be coming back for future grooming and boarding needs. read more

I have had dogs my whole life, have been to many groomers, and have never felt so worry-free about leaving my Schnauzer, Jazzy, at Puddy Cuts. Steven's soft, gentle tone has an amazing calming effect on the dogs left in his care. You can tell that he genuinely loves dogs, which means a great deal if you love your "babies" like I do. His grooming skills are fantastic, and I was thoroughly impressed with the way he boards his "guests," because that's how he treats them... like they are guests in his home! I live in Louisiana and was referred to him on a visit there. He has done such a great job that Jazzy has returned to Houston with me a few times, so she can be pampered again by Steven. I even brought my son's Schnauzer, Oscar, to get the royal treatment, and my son was thoroughly impressed. I sure wish Puddy Cuts was closer to where I live. You Houstonians are very lucky! Great job, Steven! read more

Puddy Cuts - Steve keeps my dog-ter looking awesome! - Pet Groomers Near Me - Houston, Texas

Stephen was very nice and professional. I was able to get all three of my dogs scheduled and groomed within three days. He only accepts vaccinated dogs which was a huge plus. They are kept in cozy kennels during their spa day. When I picked my dogs up they looked happy and comfortable. He needed 6 hours to get all three dogs baths, hair cuts, and blow dries. They look great and smelled wonderful. He even gave them bandanas and bows. I will definitely be returning to him. I went ahead and scheduled my follow up visits. Terrific job! Update 2/8/2015 We have been going to Stephen for 9 months now. We continue to be happy with his services and he really knows how to take care of their coats. Last month I moved to katy and am still traveling to see Stephen for all of our grooming needs. He has been very accommodating with this. We continue to be happy customers. read more

Puddy cuts is wonderful! We just left our little girl "cookie" for the weekend and when we picked her up, she looked so happy. She felt like home. Steven, the owner, is such a nice and easy going man. One can clearly tell animals are his passion. I don't usually write reviews, but here is why I did it. Just think about something, our pets "can't" talk and are innocent, and some other boarding places take advantage of that and might not take good care of them, but when you find a place, where you know made your pet feel like home, it deserves the 5 stars and the time to type a review. Also, it is very affordable and Steven responds to the emails very fast. I am glad I found a great place for my dog to stay while I am away. If you are still looking around, don't think twice to use Puddy cuts services. Thank you Steven! read more

I am so happy I found this place. My dog, like me, has pretty specific hair cut needs and not everyone accomplishes what I want. He's a poodle/cocker spaniel mix (I think) with curly, black hair It took three tries at Rover Oaks for the groomers to get it right when I went there. But Steve gave him exactly the cut I asked for on the first try. He's also affordable, free of hidden fees and his business is totally hassle-free. read more

This isn't your typical grooming salon, but I wasn't looking for typical. I wanted an experienced, calm groomer that could handle my 13 yr old Maltese who is anxious at the groomer and vet and has become a bit fussy. I also wanted a place that would do her straight through so she didn't have to be there all day. I found all this and a reasonable price at Puddy Cuts. Sure its a little unconventional to have a groomer workshop in your garage off your house, but it makes a lot of business and money sense and works just fine. Very glad after trying for 6 months to find a good groomed we found here. read more
