Clean, the place didn't smell of urine. Quiet, there wasn't a ton of machines running and dogs barking. I believe this is because the place had lots of space and rooms to compartmentalize, rather than packed in one small room. Kind people, the lady was very nice and accommodating to my requests. Con: The actual haircut didn't look that great. The groomer listed when I pointed out some fixes and adjusted accordingly. However I could tell inherently, the cut wasn't that great. It was even and the wash was done well, but the actual aesthetics were not there. My shih tzu was done in a way that left her eyes looking very sunken in. I included a photo taken after some adjustments.

Which is awesome if you're not expecting a call! They also do super cute enrichment activities and have themed birthday parties.

We booked with Lufthansa for our trip. Something that should've taken no more than two days from departure date to arrival date took 7 days! I booked with the Christy the whole works: transportation from Airport to Car rental to Doggie day care, showers for all, 10 day quarantine and kennel cleaning because dogs can only hold it so much. Ya'll??!! When I say this crew came through, I mean it! I was stuck in X country due to Lufthansa's strike with my two dogs. However! And in all fairness Lufthansa also came through for me and my pups. I won't go into detail but Lufthansa despite the challenges and mistakes by it's employees, my husband, the four pups and I were taken care of even though at times it felt like they were going to drop the ball but persistence and taking extra precaution got us home and thanks to Christy and her crew we felt like our move was the right move. I'm being dead serious. Christy trusted us and even though at times it felt like a made up story from my side she was a woman of her word and our Angel. I trust her with my dogs any day. Actually my furry babies will be staying with her again soon because she knows her business and loves what she does. Thank you MPL!!!

They send you updates about their eating, potty breaks, and even send you pictures throughout the day on their website. Truly the best at accommodating and loving my dog like their own. Overall 1000/10 in boarding and daycare!!

Even though they offered to do absolutely nothing for taking up my entire day, I tried to be understanding and I get people make mistakes, continued to come back again. I drop my dog off at 10 am for an appointment 6/6 I made weeks in advance, they confirm my appointment the day before as well, at 2PM IN THE AFTERNOON I'm informed there's no groomer there, never was a groomer down on the schedule at all. The best they could give me is "sorry you can come back tomorrow or another day and we can TRY and make sure someone is there" Oh not to mention every time I go it's always a different price with no explanation. As someone that's been with you for 5 years, never no showed, not payed or caused any fuss this customer service was extremely disappointing.

She is also very gentle and patient with our dogs. The Rover Oaks staff members are all very friendly and they have a very organized online system to enter any immunization records and you can also view your pup's pawgress report. They also offer daycare and boarding services. It also looks like they may offer training as well. Every time we come here, all dogs are eager to go in and are all happy when they are there, so it seems that they are doing things right here!

I love that they have several cameras that are turned on during the day (Dogtopia turns their cameras off from 12-2) so that I can check on the dogs frequently. It puts me at ease knowing that they're safe and having a great time!

The last time I boarded my dog, I also got a bath for him before pick up. I was pleasantly surprised at how good he looked. He is a poodle, and I normally only use our groomer for baths and grooming. However, he came out looking like he had just been groomed. His hair looked fabulous! Pricing is fair, and you can get some great deals with their sales. I recommend giving Camp Bow Wow in Bellaire a chance at daycare, boarding, and baths.

I specifically asked to keep the long hair on my dog's back, which we had been growing out for 6 months. But instead, they shaved it completely. Even worse, they left mats behind the ears, under the chin, and on the belly. When I kindly asked them to remove the mats, the receptionist responded loudly that it would "change the dog's haircut." Seriously? I believe removing mats should be standard grooming procedure -- and if there's an issue, the professional thing to do would be to call the owner or explain. Instead, they just left them and said it would "ruin the style." Meanwhile, the haircut was already nothing like what I requested. Now I have to take my pup to another groomer to fix what they ignored -- and even they were surprised mats were left behind. Sorry, but this is not how responsible pet care should be handled. I'm really disappointed.

Some places, like the previous owners of this location, did not maintain the premises. It would be noisy and smelly, and the AC would be left off. I love what the new owners did with this place! My shih tzu often gets very nervous about going to the groomers but here, she was not shaking at all.

Alyson with Tanya's mobile groomer is amazing!…read more They are usually booked out in advance (no weekends, Monday through Friday only), so I felt lucky to be able to schedule an appointment via text a few days ago for the only day I could be home. I was ecstatic when I found out Alyson would be grooming, the same groomer we had last time. She is so pleasant and kind, she is knowledgeable, and after a 10 minute meet and greet inside the house, my 90 lb dog loves her. I was able to book the grooming in advance via text, they confirmed the day before, and then Alyson text me when she was on her way. Regarding cost and time, I don't have a basis for comparison, however this does feel like a premium price but for a premium service. My 90 lb rescue is a St Bernard mix that gets easily matted, the grooming cost $140 (I tipped an additional $30, total $170), and it took about 2.5 hours. As I don't have know how much grooming would be at a brick-and-mortar or another mobile groomer for the service he received, I am unsure if this is above or on par. This is a premium 1:1 service, convenient, and the time savings and care given is so well worth it! If you can dedicate hours to another task around the house or if you work from home, it feels like I was given the gift of time back to my day too. She does come inside to get to know your animal to become comfortable with them. So you need to be okay with that. This allows your animal to become familiar and comfortable with her too in their home first which I appreciate, it shows how passionate she is about animals. If you want to be updated during the grooming or if you'd prefer to get quoted if anything additional is needed, she is responsive to questions via text during the session. I am so happy I found them, and I am already thinking about when I can get her booked again.

Before she went, I'd worked with her on sit, down, take it, leave it, and some spins with decent success. Brian took what she had and built on it, adding heel, come when called, turn, and stay. He returned a noticeably different dog. When we hit some bumps shortly after, he came back out and spent a solid hour with me going over what was actually happening...not just commands and corrections, but why she was behaving the way she was and what she needed from me to feel secure. (Spoiler: she needed me to be more confident and consistent.) He has a way of cutting straight to what matters without overcomplicating it, and more than once he said exactly the right thing at exactly the right moment. What struck me most across both experiences was how much genuine wisdom he brings to his work. He's clearly someone who has learned his craft through deep experience and observation, and it shows in every interaction with the dog and with the owner. On top of all of that, his pricing was incredibly reasonable; boarding and training combined for what many trainers charge for training alone. We felt genuinely taken care of. Kind, patient, perceptive, and exactly what we needed. Highly recommend.

The staff has always been super patient and helpful when I have questions or when I just want to browse. They've been nice about letting me be particular when choosing specific fish/inverts/corals. They're also very knowledgeable and helpful, especially as I'm still new to this side of the hobby. It seems like Oceanlife is a staple among reef keepers in the area and they've definitely built relationships with folks. People get greeted by first name and seem to be able to special order things as well. All around, it seems like what you look for in a LFS!

Fast forward a couple weeks later and my water is finally ready and they will be seeing a lot of me! What attracted me to this place is that the store is super clean and the prices are generally better than any other marine-life store in the Houston area. The staff is always super friendly, professional and knowledgeable which I am so thankful for as an aquarium novice such as myself. If you're looking for anything saltwater tank related- ocean life should be one of your top choices!!

They are putting a couple or a few in this bathtub suite and in my opinion i really think it's a hazard!!!!!!!!! I don't think it's a good idea to leave dogs in the wooden suite because they're no AC when you choose boarding. People treat their animals like people and if you wouldn't put your self in this Wooden room why would you put your dog in this environment. Would you be in a hot confinement space?? this one employee who works there called on of your dog " you bite me you b****" if the owner knew that they will be will livid!!! Multiple dogs jump on them employees and they said "f*** *** " if you want to bring your dog where they cuss at your dog go ahead but I want to bring my dog where they are respectful and not using explicit language to dogs. They are missing the blanket for multiple dogs I don't know where it went to but they need to be more organized where they put the blankets. read more

It's not easy finding somewhere to leave your fur baby while you're out of town traveling and not have to worry but at Super Paws Houston, they were so responsive to any request and constantly posted photos on their Instagram account. I always had an idea what she was up to and they provided direct photos and videos throughout the day. The team there really goes above and beyond! read more

He absolutely hates getting wet and doesn't like anyone getting near his paws. Because of his absolute hatred for getting groomed, we only take him twice a year to Wag'n World. Skyler did a fantastic job during our husky's most recent visit AND he was able to trim our dog's nails! We couldn't stop staring at our dog afterwards and was in complete shock that Skyler was able to trim his nails. The service took approximately 3 hours (bath, deshed, teeth brush and nail trim). Although there are plenty of other closer grooming salons near our home, we don't hesitate to drive a little further to take our dog to see Skyler!

I brought my boi in to stay through Memorial Day weekend. A Friday to Tuesday stay. This was his…read morefirst boarding experience, and I expect there to be some learning curves. Unfortunately, I don't feel that learning curves covers how I picked him up on Tuesday. I chose this place through referral, and also customer review. My gal never had any issues utilizing this place previously. They have a good location, and their cost isn't too bad considering where it is. I had him in for 4 nights, and provided the food. and some treats. First recognition. I did get an email about him having stomach issues and diarrhea. I appreciate that notification. When I arrived to pick him up, I was waiting in the front and there was a lady (not sure if she's a manager or owner), and we chatted about his stay. She mentioned he was behaving a bit more aggressively and bullying a bit, and had to be kept from some of the other dogs. That, I completely understand. He's a big boi for a two year old, and we're still working on training some of those habits out. Fights and injuries were not mentioned. When they brought him out, he had marks on the bridge of his nose and his lip. This was not reported to me, and when I asked they said it may have been due to him being anxious in his cage. Except that they were not rubbing wounds, they are four puncture wounds. He also smelled atrociously, and required an immediate bath. He had brown stains on his legs and hind quarters. This man would not sit in his own stool unless he had to. If it wasn't his own, then the cage wasn't clean. And his breath smelled just as bad as what I had to wash off of him. If he wasn't allowed out with others, and was given his normal diet, his breath shouldn't have deteriorated to such a degree. When he came out of the door, he wasn't excited, he was fearful. While separation can be a traumatic experience, this wasn't that kind of emotion. We've been separated for weeks before, I know what that is like. Even after two days since pickup, he still not quite right after this experience. From a logical perspective of baseline customer service: 1. If my dog is bleeding from his face, you need to report it to me. 2. He shouldn't be covered in feces. 3. With my original inquiry, I and was told what may have happened. That doesn't work well for me. If he was separated, in a controlled environment, we should know exactly what happened. And no one should be covered in feces. Follow Up - I wrote to the facility, and they responded quickly both times. They apologized for his condition, and that protocol was not followed. Though it doesn't change my experience, I appreciate that. They were also nice enough to offer a credit, and grooming. Things aren't always perfect, I get it. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
