Alyson with Tanya's mobile groomer is amazing!…read more They are usually booked out in advance (no weekends, Monday through Friday only), so I felt lucky to be able to schedule an appointment via text a few days ago for the only day I could be home. I was ecstatic when I found out Alyson would be grooming, the same groomer we had last time. She is so pleasant and kind, she is knowledgeable, and after a 10 minute meet and greet inside the house, my 90 lb dog loves her. I was able to book the grooming in advance via text, they confirmed the day before, and then Alyson text me when she was on her way. Regarding cost and time, I don't have a basis for comparison, however this does feel like a premium price but for a premium service. My 90 lb rescue is a St Bernard mix that gets easily matted, the grooming cost $140 (I tipped an additional $30, total $170), and it took about 2.5 hours. As I don't have know how much grooming would be at a brick-and-mortar or another mobile groomer for the service he received, I am unsure if this is above or on par. This is a premium 1:1 service, convenient, and the time savings and care given is so well worth it! If you can dedicate hours to another task around the house or if you work from home, it feels like I was given the gift of time back to my day too. She does come inside to get to know your animal to become comfortable with them. So you need to be okay with that. This allows your animal to become familiar and comfortable with her too in their home first which I appreciate, it shows how passionate she is about animals. If you want to be updated during the grooming or if you'd prefer to get quoted if anything additional is needed, she is responsive to questions via text during the session. I am so happy I found them, and I am already thinking about when I can get her booked again.

On the phone Mr. Booker seemed to understand what I wanted. I was told it would be all good... I was not. When I showed up I should've known... I showed up 4 minutes early then was told to walk my dog on the grass (so the "grass" was in between the parking lot isles which had glass) but I had trust they'd be nice then they plopped him in a crate while yelling to get a leash. I was like how do they have 155 reviews at 4.7. It must be for a good reason right?! As I went to my car a grandma was dropping off a dog at the same time so it made me feel better. When I picked him up...He then said "half his eyelashes were cut"!! As a dog mom I thought okay maybe he moved? Then when their only payment is cash or Zelle (red flag/or supporting local) he mentions my dog scratched him and I lied about the size of my shih tzu. I pick up my dog and look at his front nails and they looked ok. I should've looked at the back. When I brought Chewie into my car to see his brother they are usually so excited... Chewie immediately ran underneath my car seat and didn't get out til the garage door closed while I parked...at my house. I was livid. Then they didn't mention they cut my dogs quick "because it happens a lot", but they did mention they cut Chewie's eyelashes. My dog was so scared I could not reach to pet him once. So I called the owner the story changed 4 times. Started with "he wanted to jump off...He jumped but we got him...Then he had the lead on and tried to jump..." then finally "he could never jump w the lead on." So who knows the story because their cameras don't work-I asked. He has been boarded for many vacations and groomed many times and never showed this behavior. While on the phone with the owner I asked to see the area they were bathed in..he said that was not possible. I just wanted to see how it could've differed from his previous groomers. Owner/groomer said they would groom him today, even without an appointment. Keep in mind this was at 11AM. They told my father in law to pick up our dog at 5PM (I was thinking to myself that's WAY too long to keep a dog to get groomed). We come at 5, THEY WERE CLOSED. They told us to come at 7PM instead. That's VERY suspicious. I'd also like to add when they asked what breed our dog was (he's a yorkie) they mentioned they had 3, but they're girls. We come back at 7 AND STILL CLOSED, no one in sight in the store. So we called and called, no one was picking up. We finally get an answer and we're just demanding to get our dog back. I don't care if he was half done or anything. I just wanted my dog, period. IT TOOK THE MAN 30 MINUTES TO BRING HIM OUT. Like what are you doing with him? I ended up calling the police, because no one was answering, no one was in the store, the store was closed, I still didn't have my dog. Like what else was I supposed to do? Leave my baby in there and not know what they're doing to him??!! They brought him out with the leash so tight you can hear my dog choking. :( I got so mad and told the man he was chocking him. I heard him talk under his breath saying he wasn't choking him. Booooy. You were a lucky man today, let me tell you. THEY DID NOT DO ANY WORK ON MY DOG. Unfortunately, I don't feel that learning curves covers how I picked him up on Tuesday. I chose this place through referral, and also customer review. My gal never had any issues utilizing this place previously. They have a good location, and their cost isn't too bad considering where it is. I had him in for 4 nights, and provided the food. and some treats. First recognition. I did get an email about him having stomach issues and diarrhea. I appreciate that notification. When I arrived to pick him up, I was waiting in the front and there was a lady (not sure if she's a manager or owner), and we chatted about his stay. She mentioned he was behaving a bit more aggressively and bullying a bit, and had to be kept from some of the other dogs. That, I completely understand. He's a big boi for a two year old, and we're still working on training some of those habits out. Fights and injuries were not mentioned. When they brought him out, he had marks on the bridge of his nose and his lip. This was not reported to me, and when I asked they said it may have been due to him being anxious in his cage. Except that they were not rubbing wounds, they are four puncture wounds. He also smelled atrociously, and required an immediate bath. He had brown stains on his legs and hind quarters. This man would not sit in his own stool unless he had to. If it wasn't his own, then the cage wasn't clean. And his breath smelled just as bad as what I had to wash off of him. If he wasn't allowed out with others, and was given his normal diet, his breath shouldn't have deteriorated to such a degree. When he came out of the door, he wasn't excited, he was fearful. While separation can be a traumatic experience, this wasn't that kind of emotion. We've been separated for weeks before, I know what that is like. Even after two days since pickup, he still not quite right after this experience. From a logical perspective of baseline customer service: 1. If my dog is bleeding from his face, you need to report it to me. 2. He shouldn't be covered in feces. 3. With my original inquiry, I and was told what may have happened. That doesn't work well for me. If he was separated, in a controlled environment, we should know exactly what happened. And no one should be covered in feces. Follow Up - I wrote to the facility, and they responded quickly both times. They apologized for his condition, and that protocol was not followed. Though it doesn't change my experience, I appreciate that. They were also nice enough to offer a credit, and grooming. Things aren't always perfect, I get it. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

TLDR: Our dog was attacked and they claim that he scratched himself. First photo is a pic from them…read moreand the rest are after the area was shaved for veterinary care. Judge for yourself if the injuries are scratches or bite marks and if a dog is physically able to scratch itself on the inside of its ear. They are very clearly puncture wounds to us and our vet. --------------------------------------- Dropped off our blind dog 11.24.2025 at roughly 3pm. The morning of 11.28.2025 we received a message that his ear had been bleeding and they believed it was from scratching so they provided him with the expected medical care. Afternoon of 11.29.2025 they told us he was "shaking". My wife was able to pick him up early and take him to the emergency vet (Saturday evening and regular vet closed) who shaved and treated the area and gave him antibiotics. We did follow-up with our regular vet and they determined that the injuries were puncture wounds from a dog attack. When we told them Fur Paws said the injuries were from him scratching himself they looked at us like we had just told them 1 + 1 = 3. In spite of the records we provided from the vet showing his treatment history and their diagnosis of "dog bite wounds and vestibular disease" Fur Paws claims he arrived there with some condition that led to him scratching himself (on the inside of his ear too!). He arrived 11.24, they noticed wounds 11.28, and by the afternoon of 11.29 he was shaking so he had a fever. It takes 24-72 hours for infection and then a fever to occur so one can do the math on their claim that he arrived with an ailment already. Then you add in that these are clearly not scratch marks and you see that they're questioning our intelligence with their explanation. Send your dog here at your own risk.
