First time , I tried this place out and They take the longest !!! I dropped off my dogs ( 3 small dogs )at 9am , and they were ready for pick up until 8 pm . That's ridiculous! 10-11 hrs ??? The grooming was fine but the price was $ 390.11 That's so over priced . My dogs didn't even have that much hair . I called 2 times to check up on them and see what was taking so long . The lady the answered kept on making excuses on why it was taking long . I used to go to Pink Paws three years ago with my previous dog and tried it again yesterday for my new puppy. This place has changed drastically. The owner is as sweet as can be, still, though which is why I left an extra star. However, Baileys cut is horrible and it took them from 10 am - 5:45 pm to complete it. They claimed that he had 2 hours worth of matting that needed to be combed out which is hard to believe since I dropped him off with very little matting and no other groomer has had this issue with him in the past. Even if so, 2 hours does not equate for the total 8 hours they took on him. His feet are both completely uneven. His face now looks like he has a double chin. I specifically asked them to make sure his faces cut transitioned with his body. I do not recommend this place and will not be going back. read more

I have been using this groomer for a long time. The owner is very nice. The groomer however butchered my dogs stomach last week and hasn't followed up to check on him after the owner gave me a gel to sooth his pain last week. My dog has been in pain and completely miserable for a week now. I suggested that they should give a refund and return my tip for the botched job but it hasn't been offered. This is probably my favorite groomer to take my dog to. They are a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it. It tends to take a while to get an appointment and sometimes they have surprise charges. The first time I took my dog here he had long hair and many knots and mattes and was charged $60 something, when I took him again he had shorter hair and no mattes but was charged around $90 "because he was dirty". In searching for a new groomer in our area, our first trip to Pink Paws made us feel like we found a winner! Sylvia the owner was very sweet and welcoming. They did take a really long time compared to the other groomers I have been to but I didn't mind since she came out looking great. On our second trip, it took even longer. I began to worry that our dog would need to have some water or go to the bathroom after being there for so long. Once we got her home I noticed that her coat was not completely dry & her undercoat was still damp. For my dog's breed this is an issue as it can cause matting. I wasn't going to say anything but decided the next day to call and voice my dissatisfied service. Sylvia was not so sweet this time. I do not think I am going to take our dog back now because if they treat me this way I cannot imagine how they treat my dog when I am not present. I took my fur baby, ro pinky paws on .Saturday her appointment was for 9:15 am, didn't pick her up until after 7pm . I was very upset, because she has not ever been away from me that long...but anyway,my sissy was matted they charged me,all they needed to do is just shave her. We are new to the area so I called and emailed this groomer. The older woman who owns the place called me back and over the phone quoted me price of $65 for an "in and out" grooming for our 28 lb. dog. I told her that was $15 more than we had previously paid and she said that was the price for grooming in the Pearland area and I was given a 12:30 p.m. appointment. When I picked up my dog I was charged an upcharge of over $30 and when I asked why the price had changed from $65 to $95 was told because it only took the groomer 1.5 hours to groom her! She told me next time I wouldn't be charged so much if I didn't need an "in and out" appointment. I didn't see any sign that says the charge for an "in and out" grooming is extra if the groomer is fast. So UNETHICAL and OUTRAGEOUS. When I left our dog off I told her I had a friend who was in ICU at the med center and asked if I had time to visit my friend and was told it would probably take a couple of hours. She called to let me know our dog was ready before I even got to the hospital parking lot. I asked her what time they closed because I had just gotten to the hospital and was told 5:30. I left the hospital around 3 and because of heavy traffic picked up our dog after 4 p.m. In all our years of grooming our dogs, I have never experienced a groomer up-charging me because it took them less time!!!! Doesn't matter how good they groom if we cannot budget our dog's once a month grooming! I'm guessing they really don't need the business. read more

Searching for a new groomer in our area. I take my dog to Pink Paws for grooming and Day care. In my opinion, Sylvia charge a bit more than your local franchise pet stores (pet smart). However, her service she provides are subpar to her competitors. Generally, my pet is either cut unevenly or face is not fully clean. I have used Pink Paws Pet Salon services for a year. Sylvia is extremely nice and very flexible, but what is equally important to me is care for my dog. I truly have to admit, I enjoyed the personal connection with the owner and tried to communicate clearly my expectations and desires, I had for my pet each visit. I complained to Sylvia each time about my dissatisfaction- but she seemed to always have an excuse for her subpar service. After, this one scheduled day care pick up was my last straw. My pet was housed for about 3 days. When she brought out my baby, he smelled like he has laid in his pee. in addition, the price she quoted me was different from the final bill. She charged me an additional 16.95, which she explained because of the time I picked him up ( please note, I picked him up the same time I dropped him off at 5pm - before closing) - that was not explained or noted in the paper work. Please be warned - Shop around because your pet deserves great care while you are away. its worth your piece of mind. read more

FINALLY!! A groomer in Pearland who takes care of your pet AND does a good grooming. Our dog was cut to his breed standard, they paid attention and cut him evenly, and he even seemed excited to be there. What more could you ask for? We loved talking to the owner and really knew we had found somewhere we would come back to when she said we give dogs breaks when they need it so the timing depends on how they do during the groom. They never leave your dogs unattended with other dogs around and someone is always prompt at coming to the front. Definitely more expensive than the chain stores, BUT worth it! read more

My dogs came out very clean and well groomed. I dropped them off at 9 am and did not get them back until about 2:45 pm. They pretty much had them all day. Overall I am satisfied with the work they do and it's not expensive at all. It was about $50 for 2 bulldogs and I even used the medicated shampoo for my male dog that has sensitive skin. No matter how many times you ask "do not cut the eyebrows" they do it anyhow. My biggest issue was when we boarded our dog for a week and came back to him being so badly matted that he needed to be shaved! You would think the two times I called to check on him that they would have mentioned or suggested to comb him! Our beloved Chanel thought she was human. She loved dressing up and being pampered. A day at the Pink Paw was like a day at the spa for us. Not only was she extremely well pampered, she came out looking and smelling great. The pink bows on her little head and her great smell kept her on everyone's lap - everyone wanted to pick her up and carry her around. Pros: This is a privately owned pet spa, lovely place and knowledgeable personnel. Overall they did a good job with my pet. Cons: Good luck getting an appointment. I called many times and got the voicemail, sent emails requesting quote and received no response. I finally stopped in one day and got all my answers. Prior to the appointment I didn't receive a follow up reminder as in a phone call, email nothing. I just showed up with my dog. The whole reason I brought my dog here was their website states "All our pets are hand dried, NEVER kennel dried." This was very important to me as I think kennel drying is cruel and unsafe. When I picked my dog up I could see dryers hooked up to multiple kennels in the back, in plain view from the front desk! Not only that, it took about 5 hours for a basic grooming. I called four hours after I dropped the dog off to check the status and was told "they're just starting him now." When I picked him up, the grooming looked about the same as other places. However, I was unhappy I paid $65 for my dog to sit in a kennel for 4 hours and then put back in kennel with a dryer attached when they specifically advertise not doing this! read more

I have taken my two elderly pets to Pink Paws for over 4 years. After dealing with so many groomers throughout the years I have never been more content. Both of my babies are always relaxed and happy at pick up, both for grooming and boarding. I recently moved away due to a job transfer but, a long drive every 2 months will not kill me. I just decided that the great relationship they have with Sylvia is worth it. Due to arthritic hips I do not expect a fabulous groom but, it is! During my move their stay ended up being longer then expected and when I called to inform them I could not have felt more at peace. Being elderly they require a little extra care and I love the fact that my check up calls and emails are always welcomed! I deal with the same people every time for the past 4 years!! I have been taking my dog to Pink Paws for quite some time now. I will say this much, my dog is more comfortable here than he was at his previous groomer. However, I have encountered that when boarding my dog here, the prices always change (charged more) and I always ask for the same thing! Also, my dog was kept in a kennel and I requested a suite and I was still charged the same has if he stayed in a suite! Now as much as I like Pink Paws, I have some doubt that my wishes for grooming and boarding services arent being honored. With the latest grooming received, my dog still had pieces of unevenly cut hair around the private area, which I had to go and trim myself (I should never have to do that since I paid Pink Paws do that for me). Also, no bandana or perfume was used on my dog and his nails were not trimmed either and I requested all this. Before giving up on Pink Paws totally, I will try them out 1 more time, if something happens again like this, I will take my services elsewhere. So Pink Paws, I sincerely ask you to PLEASE.... give my dog the grooming/boarding services that I request and that my dog so much deserves. I really like you, but if I feel that my dog is NOT receiving the services in which I request, I can no longer take him here. I hope you understand my feelings and make this situation right. I am giving this facility two stars instead of one because I have not actually taken my dog here and cannot speak to their facility and grooming procedures, but I won't be doing business here after my condescending phone conversation. I needed to take my dog in for a haircut and since I am newer to the area, I needed to find a place. I called inquiring about the process on booking appointments and to discuss my dog a little bit. I was hoping to find a nice place who would be happy to have my business and meet my dog (who is a wonderful animal and SO sweet) but instead I was berated for never taking my dog to the groomers before. Does that automatically mean I don't take care of my dog because he doesn't know what electric clippers sound like and they could scare him? No, it does not. For the record, he wouldn't be scared and he wouldn't be hard to control. He sits very still when asked because I have taught him basic commands. I bathe him and cut his hair at home (he has straight hair that is not very long), he gets more "professional" baths at the vet, and I clip his nails and brush out his hair also at home. I did not appreciate being scoffed at because I have never taken him to get a professional haircut. I can cut his hair just fine at home. As good as them? Absolutely not; they're the professionals. But I am not a bad dog parent. His hair is not matted, he is not gross or dirty, he is well trained and a good dog. Sometimes he gets really excited to meet new people and will jump up on them, but that's it. Everyone who has ever met him calls him the Gentle Giant, because he really is a wonderful dog. I do not like being lectured about how I supposedly take care of my dog incorrectly. It was hurtful and insensitive. This place has really great reviews so I was excited about the prospect of finding a great place for my dog, but I was disappointed. I will continue my search for a place that treats me with respect. read more

I take my babies here to get boarded whenever we go somewhere and I couldn't be happier. In my opinion because it's a smaller facility they take better care of you babies more.Its like taking your kids to private school.They get more attention.My dogs never come back thirsty or hungry.Whenever I call and check on them I'm never rushed off the phone.They ran out of ther Oscar Meyer carving board turkey and sandy went to Kroger for me and picked up another pack for me! Who does that nowadays? They are angels here who genuinely care for animals.They also clip there nails here.I was told by my vet my bassett hound would need to be sedated to get a nail trim because he was so difficult. I brought him here and Henry did it in 5 minutes in the non traditional way by allowing him to sniff outside while he got on the ground and clip clip clipped away while my dog was distracted GENIOUS!
