Love it here! We started coming here after getting our handsome charcoal lab. It's a pet store, so pets are welcomed! This is Tyson's favorite place to go. Everyone here knows him by name. The employees are all amazing and take the time to get to know you as well as your pet. I always come in with a million questions and not only are they patient, they are extremely knowledgeable and willing to help. I get coupons all the time from my purchases. I almost always have at least 5 dollars off each time I shop here. I also fostered (then adopted) a cat that I picked up from here through GRASP. GRASP does events all the time like free vaccines for your pets. I usually see them at Petco on Saturdays when I bring my baby to obedience school. Amalia (spelling??), is our puppy class instructor she is the best! She makes us want to come to class and challenges our dog and us. We have learned so much from her. Obedience class is $120 for 6 weeks of classes. If you do a second package of 6 week classes, there is a discount. Tyson has taken Puppy 1 and is currently taking Puppy 2. I'm very glad we decided to come here and I recommend to everyone who may be thinking about it. We will miss the classes when Tyson graduates, but we will be back to visit. Thank you Petco!! By the way, there is puppy play time (which is free) is on most Saturdays and Sundays! I forgot the times, but call to inquire!

I picked up my dog and was told there was an extra $10.00 for brushing his tail. The groomer shaved my dog almost to the skin including his head. She only left fur on his ears and tail. He looks ridiculous. I thought about it overnight and went back the following day to express my dissatisfaction. I spoke to Egypt who said she was a manager. She took pics of my dog from my phone that I just took and sent them to her supervisor. I was told she would call me the following day. The supervisor had not called by 3:30 pm so I stopped by on my way home from work. Jen came to talk to me saying she was just about to call me. The parking lot was empty so I'm not sure what the delay in calling was about. I explained my concerns such as shaving and de matting are completely different. De matting saves the coat where shave removes the coat. Therefore I should not have paid an extra $20.00 for de matting that obviously wasn't done. She agreed by definition I was correct but that is not Pet Smarts definition. I also said the Bath & Cut included brushing. My dog was shaved except tail & ears but I was charged and extra $10.00. The body didn't need brushing obviously, it was shaved almost to the skin. She kept focusing on my husband okaying the de matting. My response-he signed for a service that wasn't done that makes the signature null & void. I also let her know that I did a little research. Pet Smart groomers work on commission. This to me explains the extra charges. I also asked if she knew what a groomed goldendoodle should look like? She said yes LOL (apparently not) and neither did the groomer. She brought me into the grooming area to read the notes from the groomer (who was in the grooming area along with 2 other groomers). She insisted my dog was matted which is absolutely not true. I have had dogs my whole life and worked in the animal care industry for 35 years. I know what a mat is and I told her this. The groomers were very unprofessionally giggling at our conversation. When I asked the so called store manager if she was okay with this she said nothing. I asked for her supervisors number and she said call corporate. I asked for a number and was given the IT number which is useless. I am still going to follow up with this matter. During all of this I never made any demands and was treated horribly. I wish I had read the reviews and how many stars they have. Stay clear they are unprofessional and un educated when it comes to grooming. We had some difficulty getting them on the phone, could have been an us error or a them (not really sure). But once we went in and booked everything went well. We had our dog groomed and did the half day dog day care. Both were a great hit. The staff were informative and really seemed to enjoy working with the dogs. Looking forward to our next interaction.

I made an appointment and was told that for a bath and nails it would be about 2 hours. Because my dog is blind I'm kind of a nervous dog mom, so I dropped her off, then set a time for 2 hours...no call. Gave it another half hour - nothing by, so I called to check in (especially bc another review had brought up issues with them getting to their dog and communication). They told me that she was ready, so I went and picked her up. She seemed a little damp so I figured they'd dried her as much as possible without scaring the hell out of her. Got home and my boyfriend was like "she doesn't smell like she got a bath" which is weird for a post-groom. Then I took a closer look at her nails - they were still long and her dew claw seemed way too long and curled. This just wasn't acceptable but they'd already gotten my money and I really didn't want to call or go back. Aside from not feeling like my dog was properly groomed, I really wasn't impressed with the place itself. Because it's a "pet spa" (which I use loosely based on my experience) and a doggy daycare type place, the smell of dog feces/urine overpowers the smell of the spa. And it just didn't seem like a very professional business to be honest. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Maybe as a last resort but that's even after a bath outdoors with the hose.
