Then when you can buy any fish, like 1 week out of the year, you get drilled by the employees. this review is not for the store as a whole, but for the one employee who i've talked to twice now. i never got his name, but he was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful as i just got a ball python. as a first time owner, i had a ton of questions, and probably talked to him for about an hour. he was so nice, showed me everything i needed, gave me the basic info i needed to get started. he really cares about the reptiles there. read more

The previous reviews are definitely NOT the current norm. Tiffany has been working with my 5 month old puppy. Bathed him a few times before his first official haircut. She is gentle, and very kind to our little puppy. The manager assured me her team would take great care of him and they absolutely did. Don't let the previous reviews detour you. Bought what we thought was an Aqueon fish filter pump and what I got was a broken, crusty, used Tetra pump. If you're ever looking for a place to scam, it's them because apparently they don't check their returns. I just hope they believe me and don't think that I'm trying to scam them whenever I go to return this trash back. I have tried to call to get my cats nails trimmed four times. They never answer the phone. I hear music for 10 minutes then a recording says they are too busy to answer. Terrible customer service. I had given them a chance with buying my cats food there, but since they cannot take the time to answer my call I will order from Chewy. More convenient anyway. When in this evening to buy our dogs a sweater. They advertised 50% off a second item. The signs were posted above all sweaters. We picked two and at check out it did not ring in properly. Cashier, with a very bad attitude got up from stool to get manager. Manager came out and became very confrontational about the deceptive advertising and raised his voice in front of other customers stating that he would honor the pricing. The cashier got a very bad attitude and tried to embarrass us in front of other customers. Loudly stated, "have a a nice evening, glad we could help you!" I will never take my dog back to this Petco ever again. I had my dog groomed there and the groomer sliced his ear. We thought well mistakes happen so we gave them one more chance and brought him back for another cut. This time they sliced his neck and had to rush him to the hospital. DO NOT HAVE YOUR DOG GROOMED HERE! They are dangerous and obviously have no idea what they are doing. I am actually wondering if I should call animal control on the groomer since this seems to be a pattern. My dog ended up having to get staples in his neck from the groomers negligence. read more

We took my dog here to have his hair trimmed and they injured him so badly that he had to be rushed to the vet because they had cut him so deeply that he needed to have stitches. My dog is a tiny dog, that doesn't fight or try to get away when cutting his hair. He stands perfectly still but yet somehow the incompetent individuals at Petco still cut him. When I spoke to someone in charge they offered to pay for the stitches but nothing further than that. My dog is now traumatized and has anxiety attacks when going to the vet or dog groomer. We have now started cutting his hair at our own home. The person in charge at Petco told me that they didn't care if our dog was traumatized that this was not their problem. They paid for the stitches and that was all they were going to do. They do not care about pets at PETCO, they are only worried about their bottom dollar. I love my dog like a family member and I will never go to anther PETCO for as long as I live for any type of product. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS STORE!! read more

They gave my sheltie a "lion cut". This means they shave the body to 1/2" the from the back of the front legs to start of the tail. Leave the very hairy tail and front legs to nose. He looks horrible. It's been 4 months and his second coat still has not recovered. You cant shave the dogs undercoat, it is different hair and different color you actually never see unless some ahole shaves it. I told to trim him for the summer and leave the chest, head, collar area longer. When done they said I asked for a "lion cut". I never heard of a lion cut until they spoke. A five year old child could have done a better job. Negative 5 stars! read more
