I've been to many places to get my pets groomed throughput the years however RJ's Groom Room is at…read morethe top of my list. My wife is very particular about our dogs and is very cautious of groomers. After our current groomer gave us the "brush off" because let's face it these dogs are spoiled, we tried RJ's Groom Room. HOME RUN! My dogs immediately went to meet the groomer and evidently liked what they saw. We were advised how well behaved they were and for a minute I thought they had our dogs confused with someone else's. Now I have to say that with these two dogs being as spoiled as they are, actually allowed the groomers to do what they do best. I'm convinced it's all in how they were treated by the groomer. They were well behaved and allowed the groomer to bath and clip them. The one thing they would never allow is getting their nails trimmed but, they allowed that also. Bottom line here is I very highly recommend this business for your pets to look their best and feel confident they are being treated with the upmost respect and dignity. They did an outstanding job on these two and I am very grateful we have finally found an excellent place to have them groomed. RJ's has been ther 27 years and why I've never seen them before is beyond me. Hey I look at it this way my dogs were happy, they truly looked amazing, and my wife was completely satisfied and assured our pets were treated excellent. Thank you to those folks for the respect and skill you displayed for us.

We just picked up our two dogs after a 3 night stay at Parkway Pet Lodge. My husband said as he was…read morewalking out of the facility, the man behind the counter said, "Sorry about all the mud!" Thinking that was all, my husband didn't think twice. However, upon arriving home, he asked me to wipe their feet before they came in. Both dogs had mud and feces CAKED all over their paws, and my basset hound (who is obviously lower to the ground) had mud and feces all over her chest and belly, too. We've boarded them at other facilities before and this has NEVER been an issue! I could understand not taking the time to fully bathe her, but the LEAST they could have done was toweled her underside off. Furthermore, when we called to book, I was surprised to be told that the dogs do not go out to play with other dogs at the facility. I can see how this could be their way of limiting liability, but again, this was never the case at the other places we've left them. So the dogs go out to void/poop and play for a bit before being stuck back in the kennel for most of the stay. If you want them to really get any attention, you have to pay for cuddle and/or play sessions, which I did because I wasn't just going to leave them alone! We only booked here because our preferred kennel was closed and my mother in law was leaving her dog here as well. Never again! I will drive back towards town before I leave my fur babies to be ignored and mistreated again!

I've been going to Amy for grooming for 14 years. I currently have two small dogs, our last two…read moregrooming experiences at Bow Wow Styles have been terrible. in May I had both dogs in for grooming, when picking them up Amy got very upset with my toy poodle because she had peed in the crate. puppy was only 8 months old and had been at the Salon for 3 hours and not been taken out. It was Amy's idea to bring both dogs at the same time but I had no idea they wouldn't have the opportunity to relieve themselves. Well this week, I had both littles in to Bow Wow dropped off at 3:00pm was told to pick them up at 6:00. when we got there Amy was still cutting the toy poodle and the shihtzu was in the crate and crying. I asked one of the other groomers to please get Shihtzu out of crate so I could take him outside to walk. when the groomer was getting Shihtzu out of crate. Amy yelled at the poodle and said that's what I didn't want you to do. Next thing I knew Amy grabbed the poodles leash off the wall and yelled, I'm done, I'm done. She shoved the poodle and leash in my husbands arm and told him to take her! Had we not already paid I wouldnt have paid. Amy used to get upset with our now deceased labradoodle and once cut him in the rectal area requiring stitches. I've always tried to stay loyal to Amy she was my first groomer when moving here 15 years ago. Now it's my turn to say, I'm done! I will not ever be going back. Her website is also deceiving stating they sell stuffies, treats etc. My advice if looking for someone with patience for your furries this is not the place for you.

I have used their grooming service half dozen times. Won't go back. They said at visit 3 that my dog really loved the bathing/grooming process so I don't think she's the issue, but the cuts are terrible. I have had to cut long straggling pieces on the throat, face is cut obviously different on left vs. right side. If I can see this, shouldn't the groomer be able to? I was informed that an apprentice groomer was doing the work but only under supervision of a senior groomer. Not sure senior person has any involvement. Costs are high. When I asked about why $5 more every visit, they said it depends on length of hair. Last two times I asked for just a slight trim - price still at the highest rate so that doesn't fit. The staff are kind and friendly, but the result is a poor cut that costs more than my own haircut. Have to try elsewhere.
