Brought my brother's dog and mine up there to get a bath ears cleaned and nails cut on both of them and they called about 3 hours later and said they were ready so when I get up there they both looked like they hadn't had any of that done they looked better before I took them up there. So the owner or whoever the guy is at the desk took our money and said nothing else. He's rude and he has no people skills if he don't like his job he shouldn't work there. We will not be taking our dogs back there again. I will give a zero rating. read more

After reading all of the negative reviews we decided to try this place out to board our furbabies for one night. Honestly, I feel as many of the customers complain just to complain. We LOVE our furbabies like our human babies. Both of our Rhodesians were taken care of very well by the staff. The only thing we would have liked is if there to be cameras so we can see what they're doing throughout the day. We used to board our dog here and have her groomed here, as well. I say used to because we thought she caught Kennel Cough the last time she was boarded. It was not! The reason she had a horrible hacking cough since we picked her up was because she had a collapsing trachea. The vet said this comes on suddenly when a pet's collar has been abruptly yanked and it puts extreme pressure on the trachea. I don't know how this happened or when, but they center said none of their employees noticed her gagging or coughing. This happened in June and it took me this long to write a review because I don't like putting destructive blame on a business, but our poor 16 year old puppy has a difficult time breathing, as she coughs and gags often. read more

This was my first time trying this Place out. My dog "bailey" looks so much better. She likes to play in the dirt and her fur had knots. I boarded my two dogs last week for a few nights and they ended up sick. My dogs have never been sick, ever. They both have canine influenza. So now I have vet bills and have been dealing with two sick dogs all week. Boogies, cough, fever, etc. It's been horrible. Before I dropped off my dogs I asked for a tour of where the dogs would stay. The guy at the desk was polite, but showed me a room that leads out to their backyard. There were dogs in there in big kennels, so I assumed that's where my dogs were going to stay since I requested for them to board together. When I picked up my dogs a lady brought my dogs out of another room, so why wouldn't the guy show me that room if that's where my dogs were going to stay? I specifically asked to see where my dogs were going to stay. The lady was nice and I had no issues with the customer service, but I do feel I was deceived as I was not shown the correct room my dogs would stay in. Another thing is my dogs bed, toys and blankie wreaked so bad that I couldn't bring them in my house. Their things were freshly washed when I dropped them off for boarding. My dogs are both potty trained and even the lady said she was surprised they had no accidents. So why would their items smell so bad after just 3 nights there with no accidents? Their bed was very wet when I picked up my dogs, but the lady said it was just water. I believed her until it dried and smelled awful. I had to do a deep wash on their items to get the horrible odor out. I've never had this issue. So apparently the facility's cleanliness is an issue also. All in all I would highly suggest this place be avoided for boarding. I tried to give this place a chance and I totally regret it. I will never take my dogs back here. read more

I was very happy with the service at P'Etcetera. My dog, Hamilton, is a rescue pup. He has problems meeting new people and get very nervous and scared. The team at P'Etcetera did an excellent job easing his nerves with extra TLC and professionalism. Hamilton usually comes home traumatized from being groomed. Not this time!! My dog had a 10 am appointment. We dropped her off just before. I called at 1:45 to inquire about her and was told that she still had dogs before her and would be a few more hours. I asked if she had been given water and was told NO, that they didn't give water because they didn't want the dogs peeing in the groomers. My dog will have been there for 6 hours with NO WATER. the gentleman on the phone with me was extremely rude and when I said he didn't need to get an attitude he said I was huffing and puffing in his ear. Took my 12-week old Shih Tzu puppy here for the first time today to be groomed. P'etcetera came highly recommended by my boss' wife who uses them all of the time for grooming and boarding of their three dogs. We also have a future therapy dog at work who goes on a regular basis. I called P'etcetera on a Wednesday afternoon and made an early grooming appointment for Thursday morning. I spoke to John on the phone and met him in the front office when I dropped Toby off. He was very friendly and loving of my hyper little puppy. He called me about an hour and a half later to tell me that Toby was ready. Toby looked great and smelled wonderful! His coat was so soft and clean. I saw a few of the other employees walking between the back rooms. They all had smiling faces and cheery attitudes. I have been going here for over 2 years now and every timeI return the owner gets ruder and ruder. I took my dogs in Saturday plus a foster and he was an ass when I walked in and the grooming for the foster was horrible and they kept my dogs for over 5 hours!!!! Our first two times here were great for our Rhodesian ridgeback and Collie! The third time, I was grilled multiple times about why I wanted the neck cut short as well. I didn't say it, but I was thinking, 'Because I'm the customer and I'm paying you for a service'. When we picked them up, it wasn't a 'clean' cut. Not sure if clippers weren't sharp, groomer was new, or what. We didn't say anything then but should have. I believe in second chances (everyone has off days) so I went online last week to book grooming appointments for both dogs today. I realized last night I never got a phone call or any contact regarding that so I log back in to see what time I'd requested and it showed 'Still pending' for 9 am. I call this morning at 7:40 and the owner tells me he disabled online booking. I asked if he could get them in today. No, not until next week. I told him he needs to put something on there stating online bookings are disabled. He said he can't. That's not how websites work. I live with two programmers and sites/pages can say what you want. Don't want to add that? So remove that option from your website or disable the link so customers must call. read more

Been a Custo here for years here and only the man always with a hat on never tells you that you need obvious important shots when making a grooming appointment. Only a blonde curly haired woman when calling them tells you that you need to bring in their current shots or else they won't take your dog in. I told her that the man with the hat on never told me this after all the years I've brought my dog here for grooming. And she shrugged....and then apologized about the inconvenience. Then a employee there told she wants to quit due to all the 'drama' that happens in there. The staff just don't give a flying F to the customers that complain and will deny that it wasn't their fault. They will for real to tell you to F off and out of the store before they call the police lol. Like seriously there's a lot of victims (can even see the complaints on Facebook too) that these "PROFESSIONAL AND EXPERIENCED" groomers clip a little too deep to the point the poor fur babies bleeds. Awful place! Never call us when it was time to pick the dog up. It takes upward of 6 hours. And the last time we picked up the dog we got a call an hour later that our dog need to be picked up. The front area is also very dirty. The manager is very rude. Tried to ask questions about the service we had been getting for over 5 years from him that our vet had some concerns about & the manager was offend about my questions. My vet has wrote things down for me to ask when I called later so I thought they were important. However he would not hear it. Didn't get to finish asking questions. Super aggressive. I've brought my two tiny poodle girls several times and have always been very pleased. They seem to be happy to be there. They always go looking like tiny sheepdogs and leave looking like poodle divas. Lol The grooming is exceptional. I find the owner and his wife so friendly and helpful. They are animal lovers. I tried to give this place a chance but from the first time I took my dog I had a bad feeling. It stank, seemed to be over crowded, and the guy at the front desk (john I believe) was short and dismissive. I thought maybe he was having a bad day then maybe he had anxiety but the last time I went which was today 2-21-22 I found out he's plain evil! I took my dog in and asked 2 questions. He acted like he didnt care to answer and gave quick rude responses one if which was "idk, pay attention to your dog and find out yourself". I said an uncomfortable "ok" and left. I decided to look up reviews and was appalled by what was being said about him and shocked about his arrogant, rude, sarcastic, condescending responses. He was not professional in that he didnt apologize or try to remedy the situation. Instead enjoyed blaiming the customer at ever chance. I decided to get my dog before they started on her and when I had ahold of her i decided to explain politely how I felt and was cut off and yelled at instantly. He was screaming " i dont care!!!" , telling me that people who leave bad reviews are stupid as am I. I kept trying to say that he needs to be professional and he kept yelling that i just want to be coddled. He said that repeatedly. I would give this establishment No stars if I could. I have been taking my pets to be groomed here for years. I had a very bad experience today, I took my dogs in Wednesday to be groomed. When I picked them up they seemed fine however, I did notice one of my dogs went straight to her cage and stayed there. I just dropped them off at home and went off to a meeting. Thursday, I was in meetings all day from 10 in the morning until 10 that night. My dog is a miniature long-haired Dachshund. My husband texted me that evening to tell me that one of the dogs was hurt. It looked like burn marks on her hind leg. We took her to the vet and he said, that it happened some time between the time she was groomed and the time I picked her up. I spoke to Dale Matthews, owner of P'etcetera, who was extremely rude! He insisted, (which was what I was expecting) that it did not happen at his shop. He trusted his groomers. The marks on my dog look like blow dryer burns. I spent $170 getting my dogs groomed, and then another $180 on a Vet bill, to get antibiotics and pain medication for my dog. I would not recommend this pet grooming service to anyone who loves their dogs. 10/30/2015 Petcetera Facebook is a joke. Just about all the reviews are several years old. They will not work with you! Just picked my puppy up after three days of boarding and grooming. Price tag 90.00. I believe this is a pretty good rate-although I have to admit I haven't done alot of comparison shopping. My pooch never likes to be away from home but she seems a little less traumatized here then she has at a couple of other places I have taken her. They have always done a great job at grooming her-even when I have gone too long between visits. She looks adorable and they always put a very cute bandanna on her. Most importantly to me they do a great job on her nails-something I fear doing myself. The people all seem friendly and appear to be real pet people. The grounds and the building itself have always been clean and do not have the odors that could come with with less than stellar cleaning. Toon my dogs for boarding last weekend. The prices were really affordable, I had to bring my own food, but I like it better that way. My babies came out really happy, they are acting as if nothing happened, they even got a shot they were missing during their stay. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is the staff's attitude. They don't have the best people skills. I wouldn't call them rude, but they don't do an effort to be nice. I think they should be asking you if you have questions and stuff like that. Give you good information when you ask for it, and don't limit their answers to yes or no. Come on! This looks like a family business, act like you care!! This place is feeding you and your family! My 2 dachshunds were boarded at this facility for 12 days with grooming to be done on the last day. When they were dropped off, they were healthy happy dogs. I called regularly to check on them, and were told they were fine. When they were picked up and returned home, they had both lost weight, in fact my male looked like he hadn't eaten in several days. My female had a white discharge from her nose. They both were breathing heavily and coughing. They got worse overnight. I took them to an emergency vet. They were both running fever, with my male being in the worse shape. They were started on antibiotics. My male continued to get worse and had to be taken back to the vet, where x-rays and bloodwork were done. I was informed that he had fluid all around his heart, as if he had vomited and it had gone down instead of out. It would be necessary to put him on oxygen and an IV. I made the decision to have him not suffer. As far as I am concerned these people killed my little fellow. They had to have known they were sick and never informed me, even grooming them while they were sick. My little girl is improving, but so far it has cost me over $1200.00 in vet bills and the loss of one of my pets. read more

P'Etcetera is one of the best pet grooming/boarding facilities I have ever used in my 30 plus years of owning, breeding and showing Tibetan Terriers. I am very particular about the care of my dogs, especially those in competition. The groomers, especially Chelsea, are very careful, gentle and thorough in the grooming process. My dogs enjoy going here. They love John. I used to drive across town to have my dogs coat kept in show coat. Now, I only have to drive a few blocks! I am a senior my caregiver has 2small hairy mixed dogs. She had been taking them to P'Etcetera for years and recommended them.I have aHavenese male 7 years old. Louie is like a person who has OCD! Very excitable won't let anyone near him but me.At first I was hesitant about taking him to a new groomer. Yes I have been going there for about 2years. The people have treated Louie well they are patient with him when he gets upset and can't be dried.The owner says Louie always behaves otherwise. I looked the place up the other day and was surprised to find there were a lot of bad reviews from a lot of people who complained about rudeness from the staff and that the groomer did a lot of cuts to their animals and the place denied the complaints so they lost a lot of patrons. To be honest I was a little afraid to take Louie back back after reading some of the reviews but then I thought about How the staff and groomers had treated me and my Louie.It hasn't been perfect but Louie has never been cut or harmed in any way.I also like the way they treat me as a senior citizen on a fixed income. I will be taking my Louie back there. We took our golden retriever here...and regretted it. She came out looking fine, but when we brought her home we noticed gnats around her. The groomer had cut her badly behind her ear and it was bleeding. The didn't tell us or put anything on it to stop bleeding or clean it. When I called they very casually informed me that this happens a lot and I could buy some product they sold to apply. I was really mad because after cutting my dog and sending her home without treating it, they wanted me to BUY something to treat her!! No thanks P'Etcetera! This place did a terrible job!! I paid $65 and when I picked him up he had hair all over him that wasn't brushed off. Then saw numerous of long patches all over him. I told the guy about bad he said he wasn't a groomer but would try, which he did but still looked worst that when I dropped him off. I had been going there for a little over a year. Even after my dog got a double ear infection from having water left in his ear, I went back thinking it was a true mistake. The groomer continued to not follow directions on how I wanted my dogs haircut so that is why I stopped going. I had not been back in 6 months. I started going to petsmart and they did a great job! I needed to get my dogs groomed immediately this week though and couldn't get them in to petsmart. So I went back here thinking surely they could give my one dog a trim and shave my other and it be ok. Wrong. My poodle that was suppose to get a trim was shaved down to the skin and looks nothing like he is supposed to. I found a blood clot on his ear from where he was cut. I questioned this and was told my dog had matts. He did not at all. My other dog was shaved like requested but when she was placed on the counter I saw blood on her leg. I asked what happened and was told she scratched herself. I have spoken to another groomer and was informed it was bad razor burn. When I called back up there because I had to pay before getting my dogs and I told him I wanted a refund, Mr. Dale, the owner informed me he was tired of hearing me complain and that if I don't like it then not to bring my dog back and that he was not going to give me a refund. He was incredibly rude!! I will not be taking my dogs back, I am out $88 for my dogs being hurt while in their care and it is completely unacceptable. I will not be going back and I advise others to not use them as their groomers either! They do not care about the well being of the animals or customer service. read more
