ABSOLUTE NEGLIGENCE !!! Second time i brought my fur baby here and second time i am not happy with the service i dont even know why i gave it a second chance. My cat is the most calm cat you could imagine he is so sweet and friendly with everyone and both times ive gotten him back from his "paws up" grooming that he's been extremely skidding and timid of everything around him. They cut my cats whiskers which is known world wide as a BIG NO. As if the service isn't pricey enough i cannot believe they treat animals as if they are toys. When i called to ask why his whiskers were cut i was given the pathetic excuse that it was an "accident". How do you even get a job in a his position to take care of people's babies if you aren't going to do it properly or treat them like your own. My cat is scarred from this experience and i will NOT be returning to this negligent grooming spot and i wouldn't recommended it to anyone who cares about the well being of their pets , especially if you don't want their behavior to DRASTICALLY change in the few hours from when you drop them off to pick them up. read more

I was in a pinch. My puppy needed grooming after playing in the mud. Cane Corso's are huge and probably not what anyone would want to bath at the last minute. I called and asked for an emergency bath and he said yes. I have called other groomers and the answer is always no. I will continue to use them in the future for my dog. He looked so good today!!! I've used paws up a few times now and the first few times I picked my dog up, it smelled like someone had been smoking inside their facility. It literally smelled like a bingo parlor! The lady that was working the front desk was either smoking inside or smoking right outside the front door and bringing her cigarette smell with her. This past week I decided to give them one more chance to get things right (only bc my father in law used them a few years ago and recommended them) and they sent me home with the wrong dog! Ok, how does that happen you ask? The dogs were about the same size, similar in breed and I had just got my dog trimmed all the way down so I expected him to look a little different. They put my dogs collar on the other dog and sent me on my way. As soon as I got home I felt like things were off but I had a very busy day and was on the go so much that I didn't have a chance to put everything together until they started calling me telling me they sent me home with the wrong dog! I was in disbelief!!!!! I had to drive all the way back up there and wasn't even offered a discount due to the seriousness of the matter! Don't get me wrong, I'm not the type of person that expects something for free but I had paid for a service and even tipped them just to be sent home with someone else's dog and wasn't reimbursed for my trouble! I did not throw a fit nor was I rude about it bc I felt like the incident spoke for itself. I wanted to see how the gentleman responded to my situation and after only a simple apology I decided that I will NEVER use them again and I would recommend someone thinking twice about using them as well! Probably the best grooming places I've gone. And believe me I've tried MANY. They do take a little bit long to get the job done but it's definitely worth it. I have used Paws Up for about 2yrs and always been charged around the same rate. Yesterday I dropped her off for her normal grooming and when my husband picked her up they had doubled her rate. I called the following day to ask why I was never notified that her rate would double and ask why it doubled. I never received an apology for the miscommunication or the charge. I was only rudely told that It's not their policy to call and that I know their rates! I can understand a small increase but as I explained to the female owner it's only good customer service that you should contact someone before grooming if they circle the $40 basic package and you plan to charge them $80! Very unhappy with the service and the fact that the owner was unwilling to take any ownership in this oversight. I will definitely never be back! read more

Ken and the crew are excellent with Dogs. They trained two of the most naughty dogs.... my min pins. They are both MORE well behaved! We board with Paws up also from time to time and it is a great atmosphere not only for the dogs but for the customer. Ken cares about the RIGHT thing for us and the dogs. I am just not happy with the boarding and vets in forney texas. The first thing out of their moth is it will be 72.50 for something before we can board the dog. After reading online about several of these procedures... they are NOT necessary! They are their rules that fleece the customer. I was using TriFexis for instance. It cannot be prescribed with a vet. The examination that I paid for already once was 42.50. REALLY! AGAIN I have to pay for what I paid for before? This is not taking care of the dog it is fleecing the customer with FALSE requirements for a drug I can buy without a vets script! I went online and found that there is another product that is the same that does not require a vet prescription. Well Ill Be Darned. Anyway my rant is to say that - Paws Up trains dogs, know dogs, and compete in dog shows with their dogs. They understand dogs, and give very sage advice that will not fleece your wallet!
