    Boxer/pit mix

Barbara has been watching my dog for a couple years now. I have a large boxer/pit bull mix who is used to having quite a bit of room to run (& is pretty spoiled, I have to admit), so I wanted someone reliable & trustworthy who I felt would spoil my 'little' fur baby like I would - along with some room to run. (So, no apartment) I found that person and more in Barbara. When I drop my dog off, she's happy to go - which has not always been the case at other places - and she's happy, healthy (& admittedly, a little dirty) when I pick her up. This tells me that she's been able to run and play. We referred to the previous place we took her as "fat camp" because she would be unhappy going and always lost weight while there - not the case with Barbara! When we leave our dog, it is usually for 2+ weeks. Barbara will text us pictures and give us updates on her while we are gone. It always makes my kids smile to see their "puppy". Overall, I would highly recommend Barbara as a caring, compassionate, professional dog sitter.

    - Save Your Dogs from This "Resort"…read more Do NOT be fooled by the word "resort" in this place's name. What my two dogs received was nothing short of a prison sentence -- and an expensive one at that. Their 5-day stay cost me more than my own vacation at a resort in Galveston. I did my due diligence. I visited the facility in person before booking. It looked beautiful, the staff seemed attentive, and the other pet owners coming and going appeared happy with their experience. I left feeling confident my dogs were in good hands. That confidence was a mistake. I paid for an XL suite so both dogs could stay together and have a comfortable, resort-style experience. I also paid for the "Gold Social Play Package" for BOTH dogs -- their most expensive package. What I actually got -- documented on their own camera system -- was day after day of my dogs sitting in a pee-soaked suite. I watched live feed videos. It was not a one-time accident. It was the entire stay. The suite was not being cleaned; my dogs were simply living in their own waste. In five days, I never once saw them out of that suite for more than 10 minutes -- and that brief time out was not even to clean up the filth they were sitting in. I paid a premium for social playtime and received none of it. When I picked them up, their blankets, their toys, and they themselves reeked of urine. It was immediately obvious they had been in that mess for the duration of their visit. Both dogs had a clean bill of health from the vet right before drop-off. Since coming home, they have been vomiting and having diarrhea. The unsanitary conditions they were kept in are the only explanation. I do believe they were fed their regular food, which I sent with them -- so I'll give one star rather than zero. But that is the only positive thing I can say. What I cannot understand is this: I watched other dogs receive attentive, loving care during my pre-visit. I bought your most expensive package. So why did MY dogs spend five days sitting in pee, ignored and neglected? What did I do wrong as a customer? What did my dogs do to deserve less? You charge resort prices. Deliver resort care -- or don't call yourself a resort.

We really thought our little guy Rambo was a goner when we took him in because of how severe his symptoms were. He was having kidney failure due to several kidney stones. Thank you Dr. Williams!

if you want a place to get shots and a check up this is it, but anything more than that go…read moresomewhere else. I had been going here for years and had decent experiences. I felt a little dismissed in some convos but I brushed it off because they were easy to get into, and did answer most of my questions. My husband and I moved and had a final appointment with them for shots and all the yearly things then a few months later we noticed our pup had really bad breath and her feet were itching very bad so we found a highly rated vet in our new area...turns out our sweet baby had a gum disease that had been developing over YEARS (I took her yearly if not 6 months to get check ups) and a skin disease as well. they felt bad for us so they did all the tests to confirm for free and only charged us for the visit. she has had to get 21 teeth extracted as a result and luckily her skin disease is cleared up from their treatments! i'm so disappointed in CACC, they always check her teeth and gums and have said they were fine in the past (even 2 months before we went to this new place), same with her skin, they just always gave an allergy shot. they are a good vet if your pet is sick, but as far as preventative and other treatments I would suggest going somewhere else.
