Odin in front of their home and training facility.

We just picked up our 4-month-old golden retriever puppy and man did he need some manner and obedience training. We both work full time and just didn't have the free time to teach him the basic manners of sitting, down, stay, walking on a leash, heel, etc. I found CK9 by doing some online research and reading all of the great reviews. We could not be happier! EJ trained Odin and really nailed his personality and how to deal with him. He likes to dominate, he is not aggressive, he just thinks he's a prince! It's hilarious really. The training really toned down his dominant attitude without changing his personality. He is still a goofball puppy, but now he is controllable and has manners. Now the work to keep him up to speed on his training. And we will. We could not recommend CK9 enough. It's family owned, and they have the perfect home and acreage to train dogs.

They Did A Great Job Giving Me A Foundation To Work From For Training Russo Thank You Guys Very Much !!

It's been almost four years since we've done our dog training with Heidi. We have a very independent Australian cattle dog and a clingy lab-shepherd mix. To this day, our dogs still obey their commands even in public when they are really put to the test. When people walk by they subtly say, "Such well behaved dogs" even if they have their own pups. The best way to make the most of this training is to practice at home when the training is "over" with Heidi. If you don't practice, your dogs will start to gain the advantage. But as I said, four years post-training, and they still listen. CK9TRAINING was well worth the investment and bonding for our family.

We took our dog to CK9 training and couldn't be happier with their services. We met and had our consultation, Heidi could not have been more welcoming and understanding of what I wanted with training. I did interview other training facilities, but choose CK9. They train in their home "real life" as opposed to a static commercial building. During his visit their we did receive report cards on the status of his training. This was very nice to receive, we missed our dog and it was nice to hear about how he was doing. During our pick up EJ could not have been any nicer. He took the time (2+hrs) to tell us about our dogs progression. Taught us the commands and the proper techniques in giving commands or corrections. Then it was time to see our Kobe! EJ would show us the commands with Kobe, and then would have us do the commands. If something was done wrong on our part, he would correct us till he felt confident in our command giving. After getting home with Kobe, we could tell a huge improvement. Not chasing our cats as he had done before training. He would just look at them. Yes, we still have to work with him everyday for a short period each day. But, the foundation CK9 has built is amazing and will be easy for us to built upon that foundation. I would highly recommend anyone that wants a well trained dog to CK9. Super pleases and would very appreciative of the gift they have given our family, a well trained dog.

Zoey now walks confidently on a 30ft lead on hikes, still some control since you can't control other people's dogs

Heidi and her husband are amazing and are very nice and don't make you feel like you've done anything wrong if your dog may not be the best. I have a 2 1/2 year old Belgian Malinois. If you know the breed, by instinct we are talking too smart, a lot of energy, high drive, and protective by nature. It has been a year since Zoey went to training and she is still so great! Before training she was a terror to walk, pulling and barking aggressively at other dogs or people if they came too close. She did not listen to commands, she knew them all but wouldn't be obedient. She was the dog at training class that got the gold star and A+ and then came home and was like I'm the boss not you. Now enter Heidi. She talked to me multiple times on the phone about training, the layout of the facility and calmed any fears I had about letting my dog go. The facility is amazing and clean and very secure! Zoey has kept almost all of her commands and manners (we lost the sit stay and throw a ball past, that drive!) The manners are great and walking Zoey is amazing now. After all the training she still had her spunky personality so don't be afraid of that. I will bring my future dogs here every time!

    Bossy little Mocha.

During quarantine, with all that spare time and having everyone home, we decided it was time to adopt a new puppy (our old, perfect dog had passed at 14 years, last October). So... we adopted an adorable little mutt named Mocha. Well... Instead of a sweet Mocha, this girl was more of a bold, robust, energetic Espresso. The kind that really knocks you down! Her personality was ALL boss. As in... "I'M THE BOSS OF EVERYONE IN THIS HOUSE." She would jump, bite, and bark at everyone. I had been working on her training myself, but I didn't feel like it was working out (she was SUCH a bossy brat, this dog). Since I own a home daycare and have toddlers in my house all the time, I knew it was imperative that I have a dog that follows commands and has manners. Enter EJ and Heidi. From the start, they made the entire process easy (except being away from her for two weeks!). The weekly report cards were great and when I saw, in black and white, that a professional agreed that Mocha just has a bossy personality and can be a bit of a brat (SHE THROWS ACTUAL TANTRUMS!), I have to say I felt a little vindicated. I was thinking I was just a terrible dog person (this is only partially true... I WAS babying her too much and realized when you give this dog an inch, she takes seventy-five miles). The first day back was a little emotional and rough, but the change in her has been pretty miraculous. She's still a cheeky little puppy (she's only 5 months!) and she's definitely still got that bossy streak, but she's no longer jumping and she's so used to the crate she just goes right in. She's just more settled. I *know* that if we keep doing the ten minutes a day of training, and we keep reminding her that she's NOT the boss, she'll grow into a fantastic companion dog. Thank you so much, Heidi and EJ! Especially for making me realize I can LOVE her WITHOUT spoiling her!

Jiro, 5-month Golden Retriever puppy, with teacher EJ on graduation day
    Jennifer N.

Our family decided to get another Golden Retriever puppy to help our 8 year old dog stay active and healthy. What we did not realize is that welcoming JIRO, the 8 week old puppy, would be a TON of work for the WHOLE family! Jiro's main problem is food obsession - the incessant whining and barking coupled with jumping to get to his food. We tried everything to calm him in his witching hours but our efforts failed. He was very demanding that crating him at this time was just impossible. Jiro also could not contain his excitement when playing or when meeting new people. We worried a lot for our senior dog who had spinal pinched nerve from playing with this hyperactive puppy. The other dog's tail instantly became Jiro's favorite chew toy that we had to separate or supervise them more. Watching them play made us nervous wrecks! Our every trip to the vet was an embarrassing scene where Jiro was too wiggly for his shots and he peed on everyone. Finding CK9Training gave us hope! Since they are a family, who have dogs of their own and also seemed established in this business, trusting them with Jiro to learn house manners made perfect sense. Heidi, owner and trainer, was super accommodating and professional. She offered great advices and resources that helped us overcome most of the challenges and endure the wait until Jiro was old enough to receive all required vaccines for training. EJ, owner and Jiro's trainer, was one miracle worker! We would not have gotten close to what he accomplished in only two weeks with Jiro, WOW!! EJ did an awesome job transforming Jiro from a rambunctious willful little Tazmanian devil to this well-mannered, obedient and happy puppy. All of Jiro's issues were resolved without losing Jiro's many endearing qualities. To us, this means CK9Training applied the right amount of discipline and affection which we truly appreciated! More than that, they took the time to know our specific problems and situation, and have customized the obedience commands so we can be consistent with our trained older dog as well. EJ's detailed reports of Jiro's progress gave us confidence that they were tailoring Jiro's training to suit Jiro's personality and our needs without compromising their program. They helped us prepare for when we bring Jiro home. Both Heidi and EJ are so kind and extremely helpful. The consultation, check-in and check-out all went smoothly. They are very organized and responsible. They seemed to have really thought out and planned the process. No time wasted and every information valuable; in fact, their forms also reflect they are serious about the dog's success. Our older dog Rumple approves the fun and better Jiro! We are so excited that Jiro knows everything now and it is up to our family to maintain his excellent behavior. We will definitely use all the tools, resources and guidance CK9Training provided. We are SOOO glad to have found them! Thank you very much to the Ramos family! We look forward to reporting back to you on Jiro's progress.

All I can say is, I have a completely new dog in all the best ways! WOW. I had struggled to train my little maltipoo, Chip, for about a year and a half. He was always very smart, but VERY defiant. I went through multiple private trainers to help him with on-leash walking, potty training, etc., but nothing worked to correct his defiant behavior. I was hesitant to try Complete K9 because I had already spent so much money on other training that hadn't helped, but I'm so glad I did. It's worth every penny. I almost cried when I saw what Chip had learned in just 2 weeks with Heidi, and how well behaved he was. It's been 3 months since we brought Chip back from training and he's still doing great! Still knows all the commands, listens to me when I give them. He finally walks next to me on (or off) leash where ever I go. And best of all he maintained his super friendly and spunky spirit. He's not a robot, he just listens now. I can't say enough good things about Heidi and her process. The facility is super clean and well maintained. The whole drop-off and pick-up was easy and efficient. 10/10. Money well spent. I wish I would have done it sooner!

I had a nine month old American Rottweiler that was becoming hard to manage. Heidi kicked it to me straight with the background of the breed and the difficulties that may ensue once he gets older. Heidi was honest with her opinions pre-training and did not present with any false promises. Thor went to training and Heidi kept me updated on his progress and how she remained optimistic about his behaviors. I learned quite a bit at Thor's exit date. Heidi provided a booklet to keep me reminded of the training Thor received and what I needed to maintain as his owner. She again maintained the honesty in regards to his breed in providing information that is pertinent regarding his potential behaviors. Thor has been home for a week now and we have diligently maintained the training he received from Heidi.

After a lot of hand wringing how to best train the newest member of the family we settled on Heidi and EJ to get a handle on our "dark passenger." From nipping at our young boys to being "taken" for a nightly walk, our 6 month old male boxer was out of control. Heidi has a very calm but firm demeanor and she is not shy about about being very generous with affection, provided your furry friend lives up to his/her end (i.e., obedience). We were "trained" at the end of his two week stay, which was very enlightening. Heidi provided us with the tools to maintain his obedience training as well as being very prompt with help when little behavioral issues pop up. Having been through several dogs and many trainers to this point I cannot recommend Complete K9 training enough! Very professional and the training/obedience skills our dog received was phenomenal. Thank you, Heidi!

Hello, I found Heidi on yelp after an extensive search for training for our 6 month old puppy. Josie is a German Sheppard and started showing signs of aggression. The bigger she got I felt like I was loosing control of her and not knowing how to handle it started to scare me. I have two girls under 5 and going anywhere with Josie was very stressful. I felt like I couldn't give my puppy what she needed because I was starting to get nervous. So I contacted Heidi and she was so great! Words cannot express, after picking up Josie she is so much better. Training her and knowing what to expect is 100% satisfying for both Josie and I. The picture is her in a sit command while I took a picture of her. She held it for 1 min. We were so proud. Her aggression is still there but knowing how to fix it she reacts so much better. She's a puppy and knowing her anxiety and protectiveness towards her family is something we will have to deal with. At least we know we can get to a goal of her being ok when I say to be ok. Our walks are 100 % better, she's does not pull at all. If she gets ahead of me we correct her and she comes right back in heel position. I just want to say, Heidi was the best decision my husband and I ever made for Josie and us. Thank you Heidi we greatly appreciate you, your business, your love for dogs and helping us immensely!

It's like I have a brand new dog! We have a 1.5 year old pitsky rescue who had never been taught basic manners. I am so extremely happy with the lessons he has learned. He is so well behaved now. We still practice daily with him and he just keeps getting better and better. I highly recommend this service but like with anything if you are not going to continue their work then the dog will not succeed to you expectations.

Thanks to our friends Ed and Norman who recommended this amazing Husband & Wife duo. We have a totally different baby girl when she returned. As they taught us, it's all about the re-enforcement of what we learned and it totally worked. In just 12 days, we saw a different baby girl then what we were use to and we love it. With hard work on our family's part and the tools that these amazing trainers have given us, I believe we will be successful. When you love someone as much as we love our family pet, the cost was no object and we feel it was totally worth it. Petsmart training, treats, shock collars and clickers have nothing on these trainers. I would definitely recommend this couple to anyone who wants to get their kiddos in line and obedient. Also, I would definitely return if I have another pet to train.

I have been to this location twice for my furry friend to get groomed, and it just doesn't get any better than this! I try and get her groomed quarterly along with her teeth brushed, nails trimmed, and filed. I set up my appointment by the internet, where I logged onto the user-friendly website and filled out the questionnaire, and selected what I would like to be done on a la carte style menu. I went ahead and chose a full bath and haircut with the FURminator that takes away the loose hair strainds on dogs that shed and is very common in Pembroke Welsh Corgis. If you are a first-time guest bringing in your beloved pet, you have the option of uploading their rabbies vaccine online or simply bringing it in when you get service because this is a requirement for service. Along the front of Petsmart, there is ample parking provided due to being in a large shopping center. They even have a grass filled area with doggy bags provided in the front to let your friend go to the restroom before or after service. As I walked her in and headed back to where the grooming salon was, I was greeted promptly and was told they would give me a call in about 3 hours when she is done. In roughly 3 hours, the service was complete, and I headed back to pick her up, and she was looking magnificent! She smelt good, and her fur was nicely trimmed as well as her nails. Overall, Petsmart does such a wonderful job on grooming services, and I would have it no other way. That's why I take her to get groomed every 3 months to keep her beauty and hygiene at her best. The staff is very professional and they definitely have a passion for animals and it shows! The prices are fair, and the quality is impeccable! Currently right now they are running a new customer promotion that scores great discounts along with treats and snacks.
