Petco are really decent store and has a large variety of hiring quality foods for my dog. I cannot afford fresh food but I do buy origin dry dog food to bed pricey but I try to get the best I can for my money to treat my dogs with good products. They also provide military discount which is really nice considering I am on a budget and that really helps thank you so much Petco for providing a generous discount. read more

I went in today 4/27/2024 they were not busy at all, I told them I needed help with reptiles, we waited for 20 minutes, a woman came over I told her what I needed and she said she's busy, we waited around, saw employees standing around, I went to another employee he said that's not his job, we couldn't wait any longer, I went to pay for my items, told the cashier, he got hateful with me, and said we were short staffed, that's all fine and good, but we were literally the only people inside the store. read more

I brought my pet Bronx to be groom 4/4/25 for 3pm. A guy not sure his name asked my pet name and walked off. Another female walked up by the name of Grace verified my pet name. Apparently she was pressed to get off she mentions that she probably won't be able to cut his hair due to she gets off at 5pm and in the notes he gets anxious. She then goes to check his face to see if he has knots or matted hair. First I didn't get a good vibe when she came out. I asked her can someone else cut his hair. Mind you it's 2 others there.she tells me no. I have never seen them put a lease on my dog to take him to the back. She puts a lease on him and starts messing with his face and hands agitating him. He gets hyper and she tells me she cannot cut his hair bc it may take longer. If they did not have time to groom him they shouldn't have had the time available online. Grace then tells me well I can schedule for a manager to cut his hair on another day. I told her no you want bc I'm not coming back. The customer service was poor and if this is her daily behavior with customers she should not be at the counter interacting with customers. I am very disappointed how I was treated today I will never go back. I gave 1 star bc I had to in order to leave the review. read more

This store stayed open for me when I got there 2 minutes til closing. The prices are LESS than Petsmart. And bring your own bag if you don't want to pay for a plastic bag! Yesterday we went to Petco for grooming for my two dogs. When we picked up them one of our dogs has fleas now. We speak with the manager and she just ignore and don't even apologize and do nothing. I am completely under whelmed with the private dog training I paid $220 (4 lessons ). The trainer was late starting each time my dog & I were there. She was there however would spend time talking to other employees while We waited for her. She's nice but feel I overpaid for what I got. She seemed tired & yawned during the entire lessons. So much so I would ask her if she was tired. My dog already knew sit. She did teach "down". My dog already knew sit. The last session she was late to the room. I told her, I would need to leave on time this time bc I had another appt.. She spent 25 minutes with us on this day. Paying for an hour. We put my dog on a lead & walked around the store for her to smell the animals at the store. The trainer has knowledge I believe. She canceled the last appt & is willing to reschedule for the next week. I am feeling it's a semi waste of time after my last 3 appointments. She told me some things that she is great with but did not teach us that... instead we walked around the store on a lead. In fairness, not sure what is considered regarding private training but my gut says this isn't worth the money. Don't feel I got value for the money & time I spent. Disappointing. read more

Went there the week after Christmas to get a couple rats. I haven't had rats since I was 12 so I had some questions about taking them from Texas to Nebraska where I live and the girl brushed me off like I was stupid for asking questions like I was very uneducated about the animals. I just wanted to know a safe char for them to travel in. So customer service and assistance is something to be desired at this location. read more

Frank loves going in for a spa day. He's quiet popular with all the ladies. Frank gets more Spa time and his humans but he's a great dog and deserves it. The ladies always trim him up right leaving just the correct amount of hair where it needs to be. read more

Petco, this location, is pretty new. They are located right next to Target and across from HEB. There's plenty of parking, even on the weekends. They have ~5 cash registers for check out and there's, surprisingly, never a line. I've never had to check out with anyone in front or behind me in the line, which may be a bad sign for this location. They take care of returns easily and have a decent inventory. I know this location has the kitty litter refill station. I don't have a cat, but I know not all locations (I believe Petsmart doesn't even do it) have this feature so I thought I'd mention it. I buy Eukanuba for my furbaby, but unless Petco is running a sale, they are never cheaper than Petsmart. read more

This Petco saddens me. The employees have limited knowledge on limited animals. Being a dart frog hobbies with 9 species, I was sad to see 2 extremely small azureus tincs. There was not enough humidity to properly let them attain the hydration they need. I was told they had been there a few months - they definitely should have been larger. read more

Christine has groomed our Standard Poodle and our Labradoodle and did an awesome job on both! This was the first time at Petco for each of our dogs, and both cuts cannot be improved in any way......says a lot for a groomer with a dog the first time. Christine is very interested in, and listens to exactly what you want. I could not have been more pleased. read more

This awful place sent my elderly mothers dog home with her back shaved, ONLY. Apparently the groomer got sick and had to go home. They did not bother to have another groomer finish her up. It is a major ordeal to get this dog to Petco and they sent her home like this!!! Never again will I do business with ANY Petco! read more

Love love love that we have a petco in town now! They carry a wide variety of high quality pet foods as well as countless other supplies. This store is clean, well stocked and organized. Came in 10 minutes before they closed, already upset because I just had to burry my guinea pig. I walked in explaining that he had just died in my arms and all I wished to do was just to hold a guinea pig 1 more time. I could have waited till the next day, but having an anxiety attack over the death of animal, you just do what you have to do. As soon as I got over to the cages they started turning the lights out on me and my girlfriend. After losing an animal so close to me AND TELLING THEM THAT, that's how I was treated. It was almost inhumane. Even to have had the slightest chance to pet him I could have been okay. I will never come back here ever again. I had an appointment scheduled at 11. I arrived a little early, you know, responsibly. I waited for about 5 min, when Ann peaks out from the back and says it's a 45 min wait, basically turning me away, then returned to the back. I left and walked my dog around outside, then around the outside, it was about 1045. I returned to the service counter and a cashier must have hit the button that pages someone because I heard it go off. Ann rudely came back out front and asked what I needed. I was able to tell her I had an appointment and just wanted to drop off. She was uncomfortably shaking, literally shaking like she was on drugs. I pointed it out to her, it was alarming. She apologized, said she didn't like grooming/trimming the kind of dog she was grooming, that she had already been interrupted 3x, and that these things bothered her. I almost walked out, but we were going out of town, and my dog needed her "spa day". She took my number down, it was different than the one in the system, she told me it would be 4 to 5 hours. Which I think was unacceptable too. At 2 pm, I just went up there to pick up my dog since I didn't get a call. The other number listed did, which that number was not monitored until 5 pm during the week. To my surprise, my dog was ready, and had been apparently. I could have picked her up earlier, and left on our trip earlier, but... I never got a call. Then, more insulting than anything else, Ann must have thought 10%off was taking care of me, and absolving her of my terrible experience. I didn't ask, she just wrote it down on the sheet I took to the register. So, $3.50 off was to make up for my time and experience. I now know my value at Petco. Thank you for setting me straight. And seriously, drug test Ann. She either never drinks energy drinks, or she has a bad habit that could cause harm to a families pet. Even if it was the Monster energy drink on the counter, she showed herself to be unable to handle it. Again, shaky hands trimming nails and using clippers seems like a recipe for disaster. The 1 star rating is due to the fact I can't give a zero and submit. read more
