I received a message from John Michael and Kathy, the owners, regarding my concerns. They have reviewed the training with their staff and addressed the issue. I have since dropped my Ramsay baby off again for grooming and have been very happy with the experience. read more

I brought my previous dog to this business for years and was always satisfied with the care and service we received. Because of those positive experiences, I felt comfortable bringing my current dog here. Unfortunately, my recent experience with this new groomer was completely different and deeply disappointing. I took my Great Pyrenees in for a routine groom and removal of a few mats. What should have been a simple appointment turned into a painful and distressing experience for both my dog and our family. When my dog came home, it was immediately apparent that something was wrong. His haircut was extremely poor, but that is the least of my concerns. The groomer severely injured his ear, which has since become infected and required veterinary treatment and antibiotics. In addition, whatever was done to his feet left him in obvious pain and very anxious requiring medication for anxiety. For days afterward, he would yelp and pull away whenever anyone touched his paws, and he was unable to enjoy his normal walks because of the discomfort and even had difficulty standing long enough to eat. A professional groomer should never send a dog home injured. Accidents can happen, but the extent of these injuries is completely unacceptable. Watching my dog suffer from something that was entirely preventable has been heartbreaking. I am sharing this experience to warn other pet owners. If this review prevents even one family from going through what we have experienced, then it is worth writing. read more

I haven't had a single negative experience with this business. My experience and point of view is that they're professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I'll continue taking my dogs to them as long as I'm living in the area. read more

I've taken my rescue dogs to Kinder Critter for grooming and have always appreciated the kindness of their groomer, Amber. Unfortunately, my recent interaction with the owner was one of the worst and shocking customer service experiences I've ever had. One of my dogs is a high-anxiety rescue who requires medication for grooming, and couldn't be groomed that day due to construction noise going on at the facility. When I asked to briefly speak with the owner about the situation, he interrupted me before I could explain and said, "That noise is not our problem. I don't care." When I questioned that response, he repeated, "I don't care. Just leave." I was honestly stunned and simply picked up my dogs and left. A few minutes later he called me. Instead of speaking to me in a professional way, he immediately justified his behavior by saying he was stressed because of the construction. When I told him I wasn't returning he called me a "two-faced b****" and told me to "f*** off" before hanging up on me. The front desk staff were kind and professional, and Amber has always been wonderful with my dogs. But the way I was spoken to by the owner was shocking and completely unacceptable. Pet owners trust businesses like this with animals that are essentially members of their family. Being told "I don't care" twice by the person running the business, followed by that kind of treatment, destroyed any confidence I had in returning. Because of this experience, I will not be bringing my dogs back. read more

We take Sydney and Satchel there several times each week and for grooming as well. Let's just say that every time the kids go there they come back happy and taken care of! The staff is excellent and attentive and quick to call if there is a problem. I want to especially compliment Grecia in the morning and Stephanie in the afternoon for exceptional customer service. The greeting that they give each time makes us feel like they are glad to see us and our pups. Great customer service and a clean environment. Bill A. read more

Wonderful experience from start to finish! Groomer called me to make sure she gave my fur baby the exact right cut. Staff is knowledgeable, responsive and super friendly...and dog lovers! This was my first experience with Kinder Kritter, as my longtime groomer retired. I've found a new groomer! My Kitsy looks great! We'll definitely be back: thanks, Kinder Kritter! read more

Picked my mini dachshund and she had poop on her hip so I had to give her a bath after she supposedly had one but the water ran dirty with the weeks dirt. Not happy and would not go back read more

We love Kinder Kritter! Our dog goes to daycare once a week and knows when it is time to go see her "friends!" I always feel confident that she will enjoy her stay when she is boarded there - even for extended periods of time, simply because it is so evident that she is cared for like family. The staff is truly caring and treat the animals as if they were their own. 10/10 recommend! read more

I couldn't be happier with Kinder Kritter. From the moment i walked in i felt confident that my pup was in great hands! The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and they truly love what they do. They took the time to learn my dogs personality, habits and preferences which made me feel reassured. I bring my 8 month old Alaskan Husky to daycare twice a week and my dog always comes home tired, happy and well tooken care of! I STRONGLY reccomend Kinder Kritter read more

Amazing doggy daycare, all the workers are amazing, and my dog loves coming every single time

I love dropping my dog off at Kinder Kritter. The staff are always so kind and thoughtful. My dog has a great time and is always so excited to return! Best part is I know my dog will always be safe and well taken care of when he's at Kinder Kritter (which I can't say for other dog daycares and boarding places)... that peace of mind is worth any amount of money! read more

The staff is so caring and attentive! The dogs all seem to have a great time and the outdoor area is well kept with so many toys and activities. Kinder Critters is more than just a doggy day care & boarding. They have created a community of pets and pet owners. Leaving me dog at kinder critter feels like leaving him with family :) read more

One star due to the rude commentary I received from Destiny , apparently she thinks she can talk to repeat customers like she is 12 and ignorant . This person had the nerve to get loud with me on the phone , basically scream at me and then call me "privileged " when I told her not to yell at me . No , you should not talk to customers like that just because they are trying to explain their dog is up to date in her vaccines . Grow up . read more

I cannot say enough good things about this place, we absolutely love it! Their prices are very affordable, they are super friendly and you can definitely tell they love animals and will take good care of your fur babies. My mom has been going for years and it was a no brainer when my husband and I got our Aussie mix puppy that he would be going there too. He loves it and always comes home exhausted, which we love too as he has a ton of energy. I'm a total worrier (worry about everything and anything) but never feel the need to worry when he's at Kinder Kritter as I know he's in great hands. There's even a webcam on their site to check in and they take photos as well. I've attached photos that they have taken and as you can see our fur babeh is so happy to be there! read more

Best daycare and boarding in Dallas. The staff is very friendly and take great care of my Festin. He loves it!!

My dog's ear was severely torn at Kinder Kritter doggy daycare on 5/12/22, requiring stitches. The General Manager called not to see how our pet was but to inform us that "she was running a business and could not afford to reimburse everyone for incidents that might occur there" How's that for customer service. I'm not sure if the new owner knows how this business is being run. The staff is terrific but seems demoralized under the General Manager. Needless to say, we will find a more pet- and customer-friendly business to patronize. read more

This place has reasonable prices on bathing and grooming. Not particularly well put together indoors. The play park for daycare looked pretty small and there was a video feed showing dogs in there unattended. Would return for grooming, not for boarding. read more

My dog June absolutely loves Kinder Kritter. We have used them for daycare, boarding, and bathing. The entire staff is so friendly and pricing is very fair. During quarantine June got used to having me home and became a little short with other dogs due to lack of socialization. Kinder Kritter was kind enough to work through it with us by monitoring her carefully and she has made great strides. When I ask her if she wants to "go to camp" she loses her mind with excitement. Thank you Kinder Kritter! read more

Kinder Kritter - June with all of her buddies at daycare. - Pet Groomers Near Me - Dallas, Texas

After a 3 day delay due to DFW Airport closure & 3 cancelled flights we finally arrived & were on our way to pick up our dog. This was on a Saturday & they close at 5. I called & told her that we were on our way & MIGHT be 5-10 minutes late. Her response? "We're running a business & can't stay late. We have employees that need to leave." I was a regular customer & thought I was dealing with an adult. Our Uber driver was nice enough to take us directly there. This is what happens when children are left in charge. NEVER AGAIN! read more

Kinder Kritter - Pet Groomers Near Me - Dallas, Texas

Today was my pet's first grooming visit to Kinder Kritter. My pet, Bodhi is a Sheepadoodle. I wanted him cut down for the warmer season and they listened to my requests and came through. I am so happy with the grooming results. There are closer groomers but the drive is worth it. I will continue to bring my pets to Kinder Kritter!! read more

I will never trust anyone but Kinder Kritter for our Sheepadoodle's grooming needs AGAIN. We've tried several places and Kinder Kritter always does the most phenomenal job. She also always comes home happy and not stressed. She's a hard dog to stress out (she watches fireworks with us on the 4th of July, if that tells you anything), but with other groomers, she's a nervous wreck when we get her home. I have always been so satisfied with their customer service and attention to their 4-legged customers. read more

I never intended to write a bad review on this business, but after submitting my paperwork and receiving a reply denying my 5 month Catahoula / pitbull mix I figured they deserve it. The response stated "we just don't take staffords". Nowhere on their website or paperwork does it state "breed restrictions". If anyone who is reading this has ever owned a Pitbull or pit mix you can understand how infuriating and ignorant this reply was, because by definition my dog is considered a mix breed. Furthermore I even told them he is taking on the traits of the Catahoula side, (which I am sure had he been full Catahoula would have been welcomed in with open arms). This only goes to show how close mined and unaccepting the person that runs this business is. I never once thought that a organization that welcomes dogs would deny a 5 month based off prejudiced beliefs and outdated biased research...but here we are p.s. not a single meet and greet was ever scheduled read more

We were charged a cancellation fee that is not in the paper work. They called and left a message the afternoon of the 7th day prior to ask about cancellation. We called two days later after listening to the message. We called and they said it didn't matter when they leave the message that people don't call back. They decide to group all pet owners into one bucket. My advice to my wife in the future is to find a new place for the dog if needed. Plans change, especially with uncertainties around Covid. read more

Went the first time and the cut was all wrong. I took responsibility for the miscommunication and decided to give it another try. Went the second time and they called an hour later and said my 7 month old 30 lb labradoodle was stressed because of the blowdrying and it took two men to hold her down! WHAT?? Why, if she showed stress would you continue to force a blow-dry and forcefully hold her down????? They called to have me pick her up and stated they would not do the groom. I asked why they proceeded with the hair dry and why they could not just let her air dry and never received an answer. I was there within 5 minutes of the phone call and she was not stressed, she was almost dry but I wanted to get her out of there. They clearly cannot handle animals and do not have the knowledge or experience that is needed to be flexible with situations and appropriately manage when a dog shows signs that they do not like something. They also said they had a video of the entire thing, but when I arrived they no longer had the recording. I found another groomer that is much more knowledgeable, does a slow dry without using a harsh blowdryer and is much more experienced. Be careful of KinderKritter and PLEASE look elsewhere! read more

My dog loves it here! The staff is amazing kind, caring, loving, and they treat your dog like family! We are planning a trip soon and as soon as I solidify the dates; my dog will have the weekend of a lifetime! My heart is broken. I have used Kinder Kritter for the past 9 years, ever since I got Benny. Never had a problem Developed a great relationship until about 8 months ago. I was having issues with the grooms that Benny got. I wasn't happy so I finally said something. They had me talk directly with the groomer so her and I were on the same page. I went to pick Benny up and still was not happy. They took Benny back and showed the groomer what I wasn't happy with. Came back out, nothing had changed. The response I got was "Benny is hard to groom". Are you kidding me, after 9 years, your going to tell me that he is HARD to groom. I guess the relationship that I thought I had wasn't so good. read more

Aimee's review says it all. Kinder Kritter is a great place! I love picking up the girls and seeing how tired and happy they are. We have started a collage on the refrigerator with the great pictures we get of the dogs when we pick them up. My black lab was abused as a pup. She is two now, but still very timid. When we took her to Kinder Kritter the first time I felt great about leaving her there because the staff was so good with her. She wasn't scared long and was off playing. I highly recommend Kinder Kritter! read more

We found Kinder Kritter because it is close to our house, and decided to try out their grooming service. The folks at Kinder Kritter are extremely nice and caring when it comes to our Scottie. They spent a great deal of time making sure they knew exactly how we wanted him trimmed. When we came back, they had our Scottie running around with the employees behind the front desk. They are so good with him, and he enjoys going there. I was so confident in their care, that when we had to go out of town and board our dog, I took him there. One of the great amenities they have is a "doggie cam". Even though we were out of town, I could log in and could see the employees playing with our Scottie. When we returned to pick up our dog, they had a report card for us, along with pictures of him playing with the other dogs. What a great place. read more

I work next door to Kinder Kritter and thought I would try them out to trim my Bailey's nails. To my surprise they not only trimmed, but used a Dremel tool to round the edges of her nails. The added bonus: They love dogs there! I have since left her all day for doggy day care while I work and picked her up when I am done. She gets a report card on how she did and she was waiting up front with the staff when I got there. Take your puppies here, they love your babies as much as you do! read more

Nicest people and my somewhat timid dogs look happy or stressed when I pick them up. We have used both their daycare and for weekend trips. Once boarded the two of them for 10 days-eep- but could watch them on heir live video feed which quelled our anxieties about this lengthy stay. One dog began to have stomach problems (stress related) and they a tend our sick dog. read more

After 3 different groomers and day care businesses. We hit the jackpot with Kinder Kritter. It's a business with a heart. They love our dogs like we do. You can't get any better then this. The only complaints I have heard is when they can't accommodate. That's because they rock! You wait in line for s good restaurant. It's the same thing. Get your pet in as a puppy and you will never need another place. Love them!! read more

The first time we came here. The groomers cut our dog hair perfectly. Once my mother went to pick up our dog, she spoke Spanish with another customer that just came in. The lady that was in there working didn't like them speaking Spanish and made a rude face expression. Ever since that incident they have been cutting our dogs hair how ever they wanted trying to make us leave and take our business else where. So we did. If your Hispanic or speak Spanish, it is better to avoid this place. They don't need your business with them. Apparently there still in the Stone Age. read more

This is a super long review, but I feel that I need to explain the situation. My past experiences here have always been good, the staff is very nice and attentive and since my dog has gotten used to this location I always bring him here even though every time I pick him up or my mother we find a minor detail that needs to be fixed, like his chin hair is too long, or the hair around his feet, or we wanted the hair on his ear cut to the leather, and we always end up asking for these things to be fixed. I was told the groomer felt offended that we thought she didn't do a good job since we always asked for these things to be fixed before leaving, and something about how my mother speaking in Spanish offended her more because some of the other staff spoke Spanish as well but she didn't, however every time my mother spoke in Spanish either my brother or myself translated so they could understand better her broken English. The groomer has never told me this directly the little times I have seen her since she mostly stays in the back. Yet all the things that we needed fixed are clearly stated in the card, the staff and I have double checked it constantly. I suppose many people would have gone somewhere else but my dog is fussy and we feel that he has gotten used to coming here and they were always minor mistakes. I apologized to the staff I spoke to that the groomer felt offended however in my mind i always thought that if she remembers who my mom and my dog is from the hundreds of dogs she grooms every day then why doesn't she remember how we like his grooming done, that has always been my question since I was told she felt this way yet i never voiced this to anyone there since I didn't want her to feel even more offended, the things we do for our dogs comfort. I hear she has no problem my dogs fussy behavior that it is mostly how "unsatisfied we are with her work". After I did the apologizing a couple of months ago I called to book another appointment for his summer cut and this time no one told me anything about how the groomer was feeling so I thought everything was fine. They called to confirm, everything is going well. The day finally arrives and we show up to drop him off and are told that they cannot take him in because they are afraid the groomer would quit on them if they took in my dog. Since when did this become a quitting matter, and more importantly why did they say nothing when i scheduled the appointment or they called to confirm. A whole week passed by with nothing, and once we are there dropping him off that is what they claim. A simple phone call before the scheduled appointment would have sufficed, instead we shuffled our work schedule to be able to drop him off and pick him up only to be told that, very unprofessional. If that is how they felt they should have told me before like they did last time, that way I could have started looking for a new groomer sooner, very disappointing. Nevertheless, apart from the minor details we always wanted to be fixed, i do believe she is an experienced groomer albeit a little delicate. I actually recognized her from when she worked at PetSmart, she is actually the one who gave my dog his very first puppy cut, so I thought he was in good hands behavior wise. I never had to deal with any nicks and cuts other people complain about, my dog always came out happy to see me. In my opinion this was never a big deal to us, but I guess it was to her. I feel this has gone overboard, yet she must understand that some owners want the best for their dogs and my mom wants the best for ours and if she feels that something can be done to make his grooming better she is going to voice this in either Spanish or broken English, but always respectfully. My mother and I have never been rude or raised our voices to anyone there especially not to the groomer since she mostly stays in the back. So that is my experience, I recommend going here to anyone just be sure to bite your tongue if you want something fixed or adjusted to your dogs final grooming. read more

We've been taking our boxer/pit mix here for about two years to be groomed. We thought we would try them out for boarding so in calling the receptionist ask for information on our dog. When I mentioned her breed she kept asking questions. Finally she said that they don't take fighting dog mixes and we were not allowed to board there. We relocated to dallas so we do a lot of travel and a lot of boarding for our dog. I've never once had a facility turn her down for being a pit mix. Awful that a place still considers pitbull mixes as a threat :-(. We've never had an issue with her in the 4 years we've had her... Very disappointed in this place and we will surely find another groomer. read more
