Been passing this place for a while and finally decided to give it a try--and I'm so glad we did! This is honestly one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to. It's a small hole-in-the-wall spot, but don't let that fool you. Their most popular item is the pasta bread bowl, and it definitely lives up to the hype. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, the service was warm and attentive. The smell when you walk in instantly gives you that authentic Italian food vibe. The space is surprisingly big and very clean. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with Parmesan chicken, and it was rich and satisfying. He got the spaghetti with meatballs, which was just as good. The bread bowl is huge and super filling. They also offer gelato and cannolis, which is a nice touch to finish off the meal. If you haven't tried this place yet, I highly recommend giving it a shot!

Food was good, you order at one spot and the ticket gets moved to the cashier on the opposite side. Food took a while to get to us. It's more like an order to go and option to eat there. Tipping is optional but seems steep for a place where is mainly self serve. The bread bowl was delicious and they toast it up with a garlic butter spread. My kids enjoyed the pasta which says a lot since they're picky eaters. I've never had cannoli so not sure what it's supposed to be like. The shell was very hard. Overall decent place to eat!

Went here with my girl since we were both craving carbs. Found this place for first time and I am SO GLAD to have discovered this little gem next to a bank lol (i am jealous of workers there since they can just walk here for lunch). We ordered their creamy pesto and fettuccine alfredo and they were sooooo good! The bread bowls complimented the meal indefinitely and lets not forget, THEIR PORTIONS ARE GENEROUS. They have a little self serve countertop where you can get your own utensils and water in the corner. Inside is nice and cozy with about 20-30 seats available. Would def recommend this place 11/10 will be coming back!

Amazing pasta in a tasty buttery bread bowl. This place is really good, the concept of pasta in a bread bowl just goes so well together! We got the alfredo with pan seared chicken and alfredo topped with chicken parmesean. Both were solid! Lots of space inside and outside. The chef was helpful with explaining how to order. Food came out quick.

I was really craving some good pasta. I've always wanted to try this place, and was so excited to come. Upon arrival, we were greeted by two nice gentlemen, whom helped us take our order. I ordered the creamy pesto (pesto with alfredo) with spaghetti noodles and pan seared chicken in a bread bowl. My bf ordered fettuccine Alfredo with chicken parmesan (fyi, the chicken parm sits on top of marinara sauce!) We were both wowed at how delicious our meal was. The porportions were just right, pasta cooked al dente, sauce was wonderful and not overpowering and heavy! (You can mix sauces!) The bread bowl had that crisp crust, soft and fluffy on the inside. It was delicious and unique to see in sacramento. I felt myself craving the creamy pesto again the next day. This place is also very to go friendly! We were able to grab our own utensils, water, and to go box, if needed. The people who work at the bank nearby are so lucky to have this place right next to them! My only regret is not coming here sooner! I showed these pictures to my family and friends and they were all jealous! Next time, I will come back with my family. This place makes good food.

    This guy is an asshole.

I was really excited to try this place after seeing it on Tik Tok. I knew that I wanted to get the fettuccini alfredo in a bread bowl. I also knew that I wanted to try the chicken parmesan. I noticed on the menu, that the options for chicken parmesan were to add it to the bowl, or to order it Ala cart. Since me and my wife wanted the same thing, we were going to split it, so when the person taking my order asked me if I had any questions, I asked what the difference was in the portion of the chicken parmesan between adding it to the bowl and ordering it Ala cart. I was asking, because since we were splitting the meal, I wanted to order the larger portion. So as im asking the question, and the guy taking my order is answering the question, I hear the asshole chef with the dumb and dumber haircut behind him, making noises and shaking his head annoyed that im asking the question. Not to mention he was banging the pans around and was noticeable irritated that he had to be at work, forced to do his job. The restaurant business is hard enough to be successful, so you don't need a douche bag like him making customers feel uncomfortable before you even get your food. Management should really look at this guy, because he is bad for their business. Anyways, as far as the food goes, I will keep it short. The flat bread pizza sucked. There was nothing good about it. The chicken parmesan was very good, I would definitely recommend it. The Alfredo sauce was good, but there wasn't enough of it on my pasta, most of it soaked into the bread, and the noodles were dry. The actual bread bowl was very good. it was soft and fresh. I think overall it was over a 3 star, but not quite a 4 star for the price. I spent $60 for 2 bowls, the flat bread and the chicken parmesan, which wouldn't be bad if everything was really good.

I'm always on the hunt for exceptional, Italian food, and it's not as easily found as one would expect. We were headed up the hill from Sacramento to Lake Tahoe, and stopped in Rancho Cordova at Petali. I was hoping for amazing, realizing that I would be OK with good. What we ended up with was mediocre at best. You order at the counter, and then you go find a seat. Based on the fact that this isn't a fast food place, but a restaurant, ordering at the counter and then the Personal on the other side of the counter, expecting a tip and there's no table service is definitely a pet peeve of mine. Please keep in mind that the customer is also expected to pick their food up at the counter, and then bust their own table. You're also responsible for filling up your glass, whether it be with water or if you've ordered a soft drink. So again there's no service and I just don't understand what a tip would be for. Handing me my food that I've paid for? Anyway, the two gentlemen working there I'm speculating might be the owners, they're fairly friendly, but they're not necessarily serving up good food. We ordered the lasagna and this pasta bowl that was served in a sourdough bowl. It sends me to say that both of these were just bad. Even despite being recommended by the gentleman on the other side of the counter, it just wasn't good. The lasagna was a cross between I couldn't tell if it was house made or someone tried to make it versus perhaps ingredients may have been thrown together? It also could've been something ordered like many restaurants do, and then just heat it up and served. Regardless of how it was created, it's just something that should not be served. The sauce is horrible. It lacks the depth that really good marinara should have. The lasagna noodles for baked dish were still al dente and an edible. We both struggled to try to eat part of it and finally just gave up. Nonna would have cried. The pasta bowl... It sounded incredibly interesting. It's a sourdough bowl that's filled with pasta and whichever sauce you choose. We added extra meat. Yes, it sounds incredibly caloric, and I would imagine that if you're able to actually able to eat it, then it would be. The sourdough bowl should not be the main part of this entrée. But when you can't eat the rest of it, that's pretty much what you're left with. Bread. I'm not sure what's going on here, but the noodles were also more than just al dente. They didn't even taste like they were cooked. The sauce again was horrible and the noodles didn't even wanna touch the sauce. We could not eat the entrée either. We tried, especially because we wanted to have dinner before our hour and a half drive. Sadly, disappointing.

I've been coming to Petali for years, and it's hands down one of my favorite spots. The food is always made fast, always delicious, and incredibly consistent -- I've never had a bad order here. The aglio alfredo sauce has a chokehold on me. Creamy, rich, and full of flavor -- it's my go-to every time. The staff keeps the restaurant spotless, which I really appreciate. Whether I'm grabbing a quick bite or dining in, I know I'm going to get great food in a clean, comfortable space. If I could change one thing, it would be to offer pasta without the bread bowl option for the regular meals. As much as I love carbs, the bread bowl plus pasta is a lot, so I usually opt for the kids' meal to skip it. Petali, please never change (except maybe that one tiny thing).

    Cannoli (2ea)

I was in the mood for some good old comfort Italian food. Luckily there was one close to my hotel. Small menu but plenty to choose from with the different types of pasta and sauces. I opted to order the cheesy garlic bread for an appetizer, meatball sandwich combo, and cannoli for dessert. Food did not disappoint! Red marinara sauce and meatballs was delicious. Bread was nice and soft. Cheesy garlic bread was great just wish it had a little more melted cheese. The cannoli comes with two and was the perfect ending to a great meal. The meal as a whole reminded me of my Italian grandmas cooking...especially those cannolis!!!!

Pateli's is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why local spots matter. The owner, Vic, is one of the hardest-working guys you'll ever meet, the kind of person who remembers your name, checks on every table, and makes sure every plate leaves the kitchen with pride. The food is as authentic as it gets, fresh ingredients, rich flavors, and the kind of dishes that feel like they came straight from a family kitchen. Whether you're here for a quick lunch or a slow dinner with friends, everything tastes made with love and intention. The service is phenomenal, the atmosphere is warm, and the experience always leaves you wanting to bring more people next time. If you haven't been to Pateli's yet, you're missing one of the best kept secrets in town.

My wife and I went for valentines dinner here, and we were both blown away with every dish both in taste and preparation, one of the few places I would say serves almost too much food. The complimentary bread was light and fluffy and was more than just some lame bread. Our apps were the bruschetta and the fried ravioli. The bruschetta comes out on fresh toasted bread, just enough to give it a crunch but still with a soft center- the tomatoes tasted fresh and there is also some toasted cheese on the bottom and some garlic on top, definitely sets the bar for a good bruschetta. The fried ravioli were huge and completely filled with cheese, the fry was perfectly crispy and every bite was better than the last- the highlight though might have been the marinara it came with, which honestly might have been one of the best marinaras I've had at a restaurant, just super, super flavorful. Apps definitely get a 5/5 For our entrees I got the chicken parm and she got the spaghetti. I've said before in my reviews that I'm a bit of a protein snob and I love my extra protein, but without even asking the protein on each dish was more than enough, and the dishes themselves were enormous. My chicken was juicy, crispy, and super well seasoned. Her spaghetti has so much sausage in it, and it was so good- even the noodles themselves had a handmade bite to them. Just a fantastic 5/5 experience for both dishes. My only warning is to be careful of the orange drizzle, it's very spicy! Our service was both fun and polite, I unfortunately did not remember our servers name but he made it fun and helped answer all of our questions. If you are looking for Italian in this area please give this restaurant your business, everything about it is perfect.

The reviews looked solid, and since it's close to my neighborhood, I figured I'd give it a try. I used the Yelp link to order directly through their website and placed an order for a medium gluten-free Hot Honey pizza and Parmesan tater tots with a side of ranch. They called me right away to confirm that I meant to order from the Rancho Cordova location, which I appreciated. They told me it would be ready in about 15-19 minutes, and since I was only about 25 minutes out, the timing worked fine. When I arrived, the place wasn't busy at all--no customers inside--which made pickup quick and easy. The staff greeted me promptly and brought out my food right away. The order looked good, but I was surprised (and honestly disappointed) that everything was lukewarm at best. It didn't seem to be kept under a heat lamp or warming area, and considering I picked it up within the timeframe they quoted, I expected it to be hot. I was tired and ready to get home, so I didn't bother addressing it there. The Parmesan tater tots were basic--not much to rave about. The Parmesan tasted more like the shaker-style cheese rather than freshly grated, so I probably wouldn't order them again, though the portion size was decent if you want leftovers. The pizza itself, though, was the highlight. The crust was thin and crunchy, and the gluten-free base was actually impressive. I really liked the flavor combo--the hot honey with the pepperoni, cheese, and meats worked well, and it definitely hit the spot despite not being hot. I also appreciate that they offer both medium and large gluten-free pizzas, which is rare. Overall, I'd come back for the pizza, no question. Next time, I'll probably either order closer to pickup time or wait to place the order until I'm nearby to make sure it's served hot. The flavor and gluten-free quality were great--it was just the temperature that missed the mark this time.

Normally when I travel I stay away from chains or options I can get close to home. I love local spots. BUT my wife isn't a huge fan of Italian (I am) and she also has a soft spot in her heart for The Old Spaghetti Factory. SO, long story short, I used that to get my Italian food fix! Like most TOSF locations, it was busy. I knew this going in, and made a quick reservation online so I wouldn't have a wait. I don't think it would have been substantial, but I wasn't taking anything for granted. Our table was open when we arrived, and we were quickly seated and looking at the same traditional menu. Choose a soup or salad, an entree, and look forward to your dessert which will be spumoni or vanilla ice cream. You can deviate, but the standard 3-course TOSF option is the way to go. Bread arrived quickly with our drinks. The servers work HARD because they have a lot of tables, it's always busy and they like to turn tables quickly. It's a huge (400+) restaurant and they're likely running from table to table to keep up - and our server (sorry, forgot his name) was on it with quick refills and prompt service. Wife chose the Manager's favorite, which is basically spaghetti with choice of two sauces. She chose Mizithra Cheese and Marinara. I normally choose between chicken parm and spaghetti with meat sauce. Then no matter what happens I have buyer's remorse and complain that I should have picked the other. Not this time! I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce but saw that they had an add-on option of $7 for chicken parm. Perfect! I don't know if that's new to the menu or I just hadn't noticed it before. Too much food, but I got the best of both worlds. And I finished it even though it was too much. That isn't gluttonous is it? Well, it might be when you know that wife doesn't love desserts so she ordered spumoni, took two bites, and passed it to me. So I ate mine and most of hers. You can judge me, I don't care. All in all a great dinner in a great location. And, it's cheap. What more could you ask?

So after pulling the door to the right, which happened to be the wrong one, we actually chose the door to the left and it actually is the right door that led us into a corridor with a bunch of different places but happily enough The Old Spaghetti Factory was one of the doors inside this strip mall. After walking in and getting seated we looked over the menu and realized that we had missed being here because we were actually here a long while back with a bunch of friends who first introduced us to The Old Spaghetti factory in Indianapolis IN. We saw a Train Caboose which was really cool and the environment was old and nostalgic. One of the reasons why I am giving this a 3 star rating is because when we walked in and got seated it was probably about 10 minutes before somoene even came over to wait on us. After then the waiter came over and apologized for being a delay onto attending to us, which we ordered our drinks. I ordered a San Peligrino and my wife ordered a Dr Pepper which the reply was "I'm sorry we are all out of Dr Pepper and so I'll get you a Strawberry Leonade and a San Pellegrino" After about 3 minutes our drinks came out and I was advised that they were all out of San Pellegrino but that I would get Soda Water with Lime and to be honest I was perfectly fine with that because I mean thats really all San Pellegrino is. Well anyways my wife ordered Lobster Ravioli and I ordered Spaghetti and Meatballs. Which to my surprise it came with 2 Sicilian Meatballs and they were quite big. Well when we got our Drinks we were also brought Bread & Butter. Let me tell you they also offered either Salad / Soup and I chose Salad. I told the Waiter that I wanted Pesto Ranch and oh boy was it delicious. Not saying that the delay waiting on us would stop us from coming back, because it wont but we will be back. This is a Great place to have Family meals. Also to mention that the waiter was taking care of 2 big Party Tables and so that must have been the other reason why there was a delay. Thanks Spaghetti Factory, we understand since we were in the Restaurant Business ourselves on how a large volume of customers can get overwhelming. Just do better at staffing.

If you haven't been to Serritella's yet, it's definitely worth a visit…read more I ordered the pesto pasta and it was delicious. I skipped adding protein (meat has just not been it for me lately), and honestly, it didn't even need it--the flavor carried on its own. My only tiny complaint? It said it came with sun-dried tomatoes... and I think I counted three. But even with that, the dish still hit. My wife ordered the chicken parmesan and said it was bomb. Of course I had to try a bite--and she wasn't lying. The flavors were all there, no notes, no "I wish it had this or that"--just solid. I also had the white sangria and let me tell you... that alone is worth coming back for. So good. We sat out on the patio, got greeted right away, and our waitress was attentive, kind, and just added to the whole experience. She even offered dessert, but we were so full we had to pass--and that's saying something because banana cream pie is one of my favorites. Bonus: she's the one who makes it. I love a good family-style spot like that. We'll definitely be back... and next time I might just order a salad so I can save room for that pie

I am leaving a review today specifically because we came to Milagro on a Monday for the Gelato place only to notice they were closed. We headed over to our favorite Serritella's as we know they have ice cream. They didn't hesitate to get us a to go order of ice cream with sprinkles!! We sat outside after with our to go cup and they even came out and handed us some waters since it was a warmer day. Safe to say they always go above and beyond and we will continue to come back for not only the great food but the incredible service!
