The food is actually better than the one I had at the Citizen in downtown and also slightly cheaper too. I ordered the customized Omelette. Make sure you bring your wallet with you because they don't have Apple pay

Their Old Fashion cocktails are spot on! Fabulous drinks, great food, excellent ambiance. Located inside the Marriott they have a great pool side seating area and lovely decor in the general restaurant areas.

Not going to lie.. I really wasn't surprised at all. I read some of the reviews and they are pretty accurate with what they say. My gf and I came here for Valentine's Day. 5 course meal for $58 per person. Which to be honest is not bad at all. As we arrived the host greeted us. Every monotone and sounded like she hated her job. Anyways we sat down and had a chance to look over the menu. Our waiter didn't really know the menu. I believe he was new so we cut him some slack. Our first course came out. 1. Amuse Bouche. Which was a crouton with bacon jam on top. Literally a one bite thing so I understood that. 2. Buratta Confit with asparagus. Also very small dish but they put it on a cool plate so I guess that's ok?? So far not impressed at all. 3. Ricotta ravioli. And guys it was 1 ravioli.. just one. This whole time literally made me feel like we were at a tasting and not a 5 course dinner. 4. New York steak. Literally like a 4 ounce steak. With a beat sauce that looked like açaí. I'm glad they got the temperature correct. But again literally a 4 bite steak. 5. Dessert which I'm not even going to get into. Just not worth mentioning. Overall the "5 course menu" was more of a tasting then a dinner. Very sad and overrated. Especially for a Valentines dinner. Waste of money and time. Definitely other places out there to go eat.

All in all food was good, pasta was a bit too oily for me. Pizza and meatballs were really good. The cocktail was also good not the best one i tried. All in all we liked it here.

A summer evening having a solo dinner sitting by the pool. Reading a James Patterson book attempting to figure out "who done it". The wait staff is on point aka very attentive. I will return due to the ambiance, quality of service and the delish dinner!

The perfect one! Is truly the perfect BLT. One of the best hotel meals I've had in quite some time.

    "Grilled" Chicken Caesar Salad

I never expect much from a hotel restaurant, but I'd at-least expect something edible. I ordered the grilled chicken salad. It was cold, not seasoned, and not a grill mark in sight. I understand it's during covid times and we have to be patient but when I did ask if it was actually grilled chicken I was told yea, it could have been grilled yesterday. If that's the case on them making a meal that consists of lettuce, cheese, and chicken, I can only imagine what they do to prepaid their pasta dishes and burgers, MICROWAVE? Sometimes it's worth staying in your room and just ordering delivery. 1/5 for service as well

    Farewell sweet Marriott. Parting stinks...

I'm very impressed by Formaggio at the Marriott. I had the power lunch which is steak with chimmichuri on it, a small salad and some minestrone soup. Fries also came with it followed by a rootbeer float. I was talking to someone so you'll have to imagine all that since I ate it instead of taking a picture of it first. All served well by Shy, our waitress. The food was fantastic, the service was fantastic, all in all, fantastic. You just can't go wrong with the Marriotts in Sacramento. I really need to stay at one of them to round out my experience with them. Does a puppy come with the room? because it's going to really take some doing to top what they've done so far!

My wife and I went for valentines dinner here, and we were both blown away with every dish both in taste and preparation, one of the few places I would say serves almost too much food. The complimentary bread was light and fluffy and was more than just some lame bread. Our apps were the bruschetta and the fried ravioli. The bruschetta comes out on fresh toasted bread, just enough to give it a crunch but still with a soft center- the tomatoes tasted fresh and there is also some toasted cheese on the bottom and some garlic on top, definitely sets the bar for a good bruschetta. The fried ravioli were huge and completely filled with cheese, the fry was perfectly crispy and every bite was better than the last- the highlight though might have been the marinara it came with, which honestly might have been one of the best marinaras I've had at a restaurant, just super, super flavorful. Apps definitely get a 5/5 For our entrees I got the chicken parm and she got the spaghetti. I've said before in my reviews that I'm a bit of a protein snob and I love my extra protein, but without even asking the protein on each dish was more than enough, and the dishes themselves were enormous. My chicken was juicy, crispy, and super well seasoned. Her spaghetti has so much sausage in it, and it was so good- even the noodles themselves had a handmade bite to them. Just a fantastic 5/5 experience for both dishes. My only warning is to be careful of the orange drizzle, it's very spicy! Our service was both fun and polite, I unfortunately did not remember our servers name but he made it fun and helped answer all of our questions. If you are looking for Italian in this area please give this restaurant your business, everything about it is perfect.

I was on the hunt for a new gluten-free pizza spot to try on my way home after some appointments…read moreand came across Milan Pizza in Rancho Cordova through Yelp. The reviews looked solid, and since it's close to my neighborhood, I figured I'd give it a try. I used the Yelp link to order directly through their website and placed an order for a medium gluten-free Hot Honey pizza and Parmesan tater tots with a side of ranch. They called me right away to confirm that I meant to order from the Rancho Cordova location, which I appreciated. They told me it would be ready in about 15-19 minutes, and since I was only about 25 minutes out, the timing worked fine. When I arrived, the place wasn't busy at all--no customers inside--which made pickup quick and easy. The staff greeted me promptly and brought out my food right away. The order looked good, but I was surprised (and honestly disappointed) that everything was lukewarm at best. It didn't seem to be kept under a heat lamp or warming area, and considering I picked it up within the timeframe they quoted, I expected it to be hot. I was tired and ready to get home, so I didn't bother addressing it there. The Parmesan tater tots were basic--not much to rave about. The Parmesan tasted more like the shaker-style cheese rather than freshly grated, so I probably wouldn't order them again, though the portion size was decent if you want leftovers. The pizza itself, though, was the highlight. The crust was thin and crunchy, and the gluten-free base was actually impressive. I really liked the flavor combo--the hot honey with the pepperoni, cheese, and meats worked well, and it definitely hit the spot despite not being hot. I also appreciate that they offer both medium and large gluten-free pizzas, which is rare. Overall, I'd come back for the pizza, no question. Next time, I'll probably either order closer to pickup time or wait to place the order until I'm nearby to make sure it's served hot. The flavor and gluten-free quality were great--it was just the temperature that missed the mark this time.

Normally when I travel I stay away from chains or options I can get close to home. I love local spots. BUT my wife isn't a huge fan of Italian (I am) and she also has a soft spot in her heart for The Old Spaghetti Factory. SO, long story short, I used that to get my Italian food fix! Like most TOSF locations, it was busy. I knew this going in, and made a quick reservation online so I wouldn't have a wait. I don't think it would have been substantial, but I wasn't taking anything for granted. Our table was open when we arrived, and we were quickly seated and looking at the same traditional menu. Choose a soup or salad, an entree, and look forward to your dessert which will be spumoni or vanilla ice cream. You can deviate, but the standard 3-course TOSF option is the way to go. Bread arrived quickly with our drinks. The servers work HARD because they have a lot of tables, it's always busy and they like to turn tables quickly. It's a huge (400+) restaurant and they're likely running from table to table to keep up - and our server (sorry, forgot his name) was on it with quick refills and prompt service. Wife chose the Manager's favorite, which is basically spaghetti with choice of two sauces. She chose Mizithra Cheese and Marinara. I normally choose between chicken parm and spaghetti with meat sauce. Then no matter what happens I have buyer's remorse and complain that I should have picked the other. Not this time! I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce but saw that they had an add-on option of $7 for chicken parm. Perfect! I don't know if that's new to the menu or I just hadn't noticed it before. Too much food, but I got the best of both worlds. And I finished it even though it was too much. That isn't gluttonous is it? Well, it might be when you know that wife doesn't love desserts so she ordered spumoni, took two bites, and passed it to me. So I ate mine and most of hers. You can judge me, I don't care. All in all a great dinner in a great location. And, it's cheap. What more could you ask?

So after pulling the door to the right, which happened to be the wrong one, we actually chose the door to the left and it actually is the right door that led us into a corridor with a bunch of different places but happily enough The Old Spaghetti Factory was one of the doors inside this strip mall. After walking in and getting seated we looked over the menu and realized that we had missed being here because we were actually here a long while back with a bunch of friends who first introduced us to The Old Spaghetti factory in Indianapolis IN. We saw a Train Caboose which was really cool and the environment was old and nostalgic. One of the reasons why I am giving this a 3 star rating is because when we walked in and got seated it was probably about 10 minutes before somoene even came over to wait on us. After then the waiter came over and apologized for being a delay onto attending to us, which we ordered our drinks. I ordered a San Peligrino and my wife ordered a Dr Pepper which the reply was "I'm sorry we are all out of Dr Pepper and so I'll get you a Strawberry Leonade and a San Pellegrino" After about 3 minutes our drinks came out and I was advised that they were all out of San Pellegrino but that I would get Soda Water with Lime and to be honest I was perfectly fine with that because I mean thats really all San Pellegrino is. Well anyways my wife ordered Lobster Ravioli and I ordered Spaghetti and Meatballs. Which to my surprise it came with 2 Sicilian Meatballs and they were quite big. Well when we got our Drinks we were also brought Bread & Butter. Let me tell you they also offered either Salad / Soup and I chose Salad. I told the Waiter that I wanted Pesto Ranch and oh boy was it delicious. Not saying that the delay waiting on us would stop us from coming back, because it wont but we will be back. This is a Great place to have Family meals. Also to mention that the waiter was taking care of 2 big Party Tables and so that must have been the other reason why there was a delay. Thanks Spaghetti Factory, we understand since we were in the Restaurant Business ourselves on how a large volume of customers can get overwhelming. Just do better at staffing.
