Working with TJ was wonderful. We did most, actually ALL, of our communication via email as I lived out of state. She was so patient with me as I tried to navigate through Pinterest boards and google photos to try to find what I liked and didn't like and made sure that she understood my vision. She provided lots of good advice when I was unsure and was so sweet and understanding throughout the whole process. On the day of I was blown away by the way her floral arrangements transformed everything into a perfect combo of tropical and pacific northwest (I know, not your typical theme). I absolutely LOVED my bridesmaids and bridal bouquets and the greenery on the tables at our reception just elevated the already beautiful venue to another level. She even came back to the venue at the end of the night to clean up and help us gather the arrangements we wanted to keep. She knew our venue well (Kiana Lodge), and we are so grateful to her for helping make my vision a reality. Thank you so much TJ! (Photos taken by Luma Weddings)

We hired them as a month of planner and they're amazing communicators and proactively brought stuff to our attention. You will be so happy you did.] Candice and Christopher are hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. I can't imagine having gone through that experience without them. They are the definition of what it means to go above and beyond. We booked them for our wedding on San Juan Island in July 2022. There are thousands of things we could list here on why we'd choose Candice & Christopher over and over again, but here are just a few that scratch the surface. Going above & beyond for us: Our venue was a new location for Candice and Christopher. It was also huge,  complicated, and it was on an island. They happily booked a trip up to the island months before our wedding date to visit the venue and learn the in's and out's before the big day. They also had to get certified to drive the golf carts at the venue. Yet again, they happily signed up for and took a golf cart training for us. These are just two examples of so many where Candice & Christopher far surpassed our expectations and found opportunities to make the extra effort to ensure our day was perfect. Advocating for us: They joined all our phone calls with vendors in the months before the wedding. When one of our vendors changed their tune on a previous agreement, Candice & Christopher spoke up to advocate for us in a way that was super collaborative with everyone involved and secured what we needed from that vendor. When grey area arose, they jumped in to create clarity and made sure all the details were sorted.  Supporting us: My first steps to the aisle were down 2 small steps. As I started to walk my dress got caught under my shoes and I would've ate it if Christopher hadn't somehow appeared next to me to stealthily help me catch my balance. From miraculous physical support like this to being our all-around cheerleaders through the process, we felt incredibly supported throughout. The two of them teamed up to cover all the details of our massive (and rather particular) venue. I couldn't imagine a better team behind us to tackle that with what looked like ease and joy. I think that's something that sets them apart, the genuine joy they seem to get by creating a magical experience for an occasion they have so much love for. I have a memory of Candice smiling and grooving to the beat at the end of the night while helping wipe down a table. They truly love what they do. Trust me when I say the dynamic duo of Candice & Christopher cannot be matched. If you've found your way here to their page, do yourselves a favor and book them. You will be so happy you did.

Hazel Designs - Bud vase arrangements. Floral only was $12 per vase. Vases purchased separately.

All vases were purchased separately and were not included in the floral cost. Leading up to the wedding Annika was difficult to communicate with, did not provide any floral mockups, and did not send an invoice or contract until 19 days before our wedding. Once we finally received an invoice, we wanted to scale back just a bit to stay closer to our budget. She charged us an extra $60 design fee for "last minute" changes. I'll be honest, that was very frustrating considering the ONLY reason our requested changes were last minute is because she didn't send an invoice earlier. We were understandably nervous about her overt lack of professionalism, but we stuck with her because our wedding planners assured us that she always comes through on the day of. Our planners were correct - she came through on the day of and exceeded our expectations! She was on time and professional. She transformed an empty greenhouse into a beautiful, lush setting and the dinner table looked like something out of a magazine. We LOVED the bridal bouquet ($250); the suspended greenery over the aisle ($900); the cut bamboo greenery for the greenhouse walls ($280); and the floor arrangements ($340). For the table centerpieces, we ordered 4 large and 6 small centerpieces ($610) to have some height variety. We received 10 beautiful arrangements that were all the same size. Although we loved how the centerpieces looked, it is worth noting that it was not what we ordered. We were not happy with the reception florals (colorful flowers for 24 small bud vases). She charged us $12 for just the floral in each, for a total of $288 and that was definitely overpriced for what we received. All in all, the positives outweighed the negatives and we're grateful for all the work the Hazel Design team did to make our wedding magical.

It's owned by a maestro of style, Laurie; and you need only give her an idea, and you will be served well. She is knowledgeable, kind, cheerful, and always willing to talk to you about all things flowers. I have been coming to Pistil Design for years now, and her new location in Ballard is a perfect spot to gather yourself when you need flowers. It's a store, but it's also an inviting workshop and pulls you inward. The selection is seasonal; therefore, freshness is guaranteed. I never know what I want and honestly, flowers are things that you need to have a knack for, but she knows how to match the flower to the right person or occasion. This was Valentines, and roses are always good, but I wanted something different, something non-traditional that would convey the love for my wife. Having Laurie meant I could rest easy. When the day came, I walked in, and she presented to me a beautiful bouquet of flowers which captured the winter and spring colors, something very Pacific Northwest, yet with all the love and passion that one could expect. Pistil Design exceeds every one of my expectations, and I would recommend that you give her a call, and share your vision/needs. She will transcend them, and put a smile on your face.

She asked about it 5 months prior to the event and it was promising then. Wisteria represents our late son, the groom's brother, and I was very moved for her to be including wisteria in their wedding. The bride didn't hear from the florist until about a week before the wedding... No communication during the five months. It was much to our disappointment when the florist told us on the wedding day that the wisteria she was going to use was "all taken by others and couldn't be brought" to our wedding. Wisteria meant so much than just a wedding decoration. It has been a huge part of our life. We have planted our wisteria tree for our late son and that is where all of our family photos take place throughout the year, every year. If Victoria told us there is a slight chance that she may not be able to secure the wisteria, we would have gotten them on Amazon. It was too late. We tried not to let this incident ruin the special day, but disappointment is an understatement. When the bride and groom paid upfront, we hoped their only wish to have become true.

Victoria was extremely difficult to get a hold of after we signed on with her and has ghosted us since our wedding and the email in which we shared this feedback with her. We paid a premium for Victoria's expertise and attention to detail and gave clear instructions (both documented and over the phone) around what we wanted, yet what was delivered did not meet the agreed upon standards. We provided multiple inspiration photos for our arbor, all with the top of the arbor fully covered in flowers and vegetation, which Victoria stated that she would be able to deliver. The arbor Victoria created for us covered maybe 60% of the top of the arbor structure at our venue, which was really disappointing given the incredibly high cost of the florals. Further, the bridal and bridesmaid bouquets also showed up with green chiffon ribbon, when we requested white satin, which meant the bride was attempting to hide the ribbon in all of the photos. We highlighted all of this to her in an email and she has failed to respond for weeks, even after we followed up. While some of the flowers provided were beautiful, the lack of attention to detail, failure to deliver what was promised, and complete lack of communication following our emails about what was provided at the wedding has completely tarnished our view of Pollen in Love. We would not recommend this florist.

She was incredible from start to finish--responsive, thoughtful, sweet, and a creative mastermind! I asked for "whimsical" and she DELIVERED! My photographer and I GASPED when we walked outside and saw the reception hall. I'm still completely obsessed with the vision she made come to life. I gave her my color palette and she took it from there. Sarah sourced a very specific plant I wanted (anthruiums) and she grew a lot of the other flowers at her house. I had the crazy idea to make all the bud vases myself, which she fully encouraged and made work. Having the flowers grown right in Kitsap and handmade bud vases made it that much more special and sweet to us. My guests were also completely obsessed with the florals, candles, and the edible arrangements she made on the table. Yes... edible! There were tomatoes, figs, and kumquats everywhere - she took whimsical to the next level. Every single person came up to me that day and mentioned how amazing the florals were and people still bring it up. Anyway... I will be recommending her to any and all of my friends and family because Sarah was such a joy and she somehow gave us more than we could have even imagined!
