The roses I received on Valentine's Day were truly amazing. The dozen of red roses were luscious, tall and beautiful. I received so many compliments on the flowers because of the size and quality of the arrangement. It really made the day feel special. I don't know much about flowers, but I know if you send girls power tools or motorcycle parts at work they are not as happy as they are with flowers... I called Trudy's and told the very nice woman on the phone that I knew three things I thought were relevant : the style of the lady in question (modern, clean style, she is not a grandma vase type), a particular flower she adores, and one of the pictures on their home page looked like something she'd enjoy, including the vase style. We added the flowers she likes so much, and that was that. Well, they knocked it out of the park. I just got a phone call from a very happy lady and she gushed about how wonderful the flowers are and how the vase is perfect and even goes with her house (which is exactly why I picked it off their webpage). So if you've ordered flowers before and had what was delivered not look like what you asked for, or look like it belonged in a nursing home instead of your lady's house, or just look horrible in general... Trudy's isn't like that. They listened to what I wanted and delivered it exactly right. read more

This is NOT a review for the flowers, but -- I think it's important to note that their website is misleading. It mentions they do specialty services including glass flower delivery. We have a co-worker in the ICU and heard you can have glass flowers delivered. Trudy's appeared to be the only one in Seattle that could do it, but alas, when I called the person answering the phone had no clue what I was talking about and acted put out when I said their website needed updated. read more

It's nice to see a florist thriving downtown - and Trudy's is a great shop! With all the options for procuring flowers these days a friendly, personal touch by someone who truly cares about her product is most refreshing. I am a recent convert from online flower shopping and I'll never buy online again. In addition to the wonderful personal touch, the quality can't be compared. I've sent flowers to my wife, to family, and to clients for years. Everyone says thanks when they get flowers, of course. But recently, they say thanks when they get them and again weeks later when the flowers still look great. (I'm thinking the online guys raid Trudy's garbage cans for their inventory...) Trudy's has everything you need from a one-time shot to great weekly deals if you like continually fresh flowers. They have fantastic chocolate and a lot of other "accessories" to complete a gift. Tamara is a true professional and very quick to respond to phone calls and emails. She has lots of suggestions for designs to suit your event, but she also is able to work off your ideas and create exactly what you asked for. She is reasonably priced and a pleasure to work with. My order was very detailed and very specific. It also included the incorporation of non floral items. She knocked it out of the park. She definitely exceeded all of my expectations in design. She took care of every detail, arrived to the event early and even stayed longer to help us with some other details. I could not have asked for a better florist. read more

We chose Trudy's based on a recommendation from a friend and WOW, what a mistake. We ordered two arrangements to be delivered for our Holiday Party at a cost of $165. The flowers were "guaranteed by 5:00". At 5:30 we called and they "guaranteed that hey would be delivered by 6:00. At 6:15 as guests were arriving the flowers were delivered. They looked as though we had been forgotten and they grabbed whatever was left after a busy day at the floral shoppe. We could have gone to Trader Joe's and picked up flowers that were much more festive for $30. I asked the driver to discuss a discount to compensate for the two missed delivery commitments and he turned around and walked away. Once I picked my jaw up off of the floor, I went out the the van that he was driving off in and again tried to communicate about our dissatisfaction with the whole situation. I was told that he could do nothing about anything and drove off. I shared a few of my thoughts about doing business with them again and went on to enjoy the party. Go elsewhere! I received today a gift of flowers and Fran's Chocolates delivered by Trudy's. Unfortunately, the chocolates were past their expiration date (they stated "Enjoy by 05/12/12"). Not wanting to embarrass the friend that sent them, I called Trudy's to let them know they are sending out expired food products. I spoke personally to Trudy...and Trudy could have cared less. "Oh, I'm sure they're fine. Try them." Yes, they're probably fine but that's not the point, Trudy. If you are going to include food products with your flowers you have a responsibility to ensure that they are in fact fresh and consumable. Due to your cavalier attitude I will not be patronizing your business and will recommend others do the same. read more

Trudy's Floral Design delivers weekly floral arrangements for our company and always does a fantastic job! I had sent her some examples of floral arrangements that we were expecting and she did a great job replicating them, except with her unique touch. I wasn't looking for a refund. She said she had been away, and could not explain the problem with her email address. She was keen to rectify the issue. I love Trudy's Floral in the Medical Dental Building. They have such beautiful designs and a lovely selection of vases, cards and other small gifts. My office has flowers delivered weekly and they are always gorgeous and tasteful. Trudy and her employees are always very friendly and helpful. I'm not sure how much my boyfriend paid for my flowers, but he paid too much. They were delivered to my office by a very rude delivery man. And on top of that the flowers look wilted. Everyone at the office commented the same thing, that my flowers looked horrible. It was embarrassing and I feel that my boyfriend was totally ripped off by this shop. My boyfriend sent me an arrangement of long stem roses from Trudy's Floral Design for Valentine's Day. THE FLOWERS: The flowers and entire arrangement were absolutely beautiful! I work for a very large company in Seattle and when I went to pick up my flowers from my companies main reception area, the receptionist said the arrangement was the most beautiful she had seen all day! THE SERVICE: My dear, sweet guy waited until the Valentine's Day morning to place an order for a Valentine's Day delivery. He contacted several flroists he found on-line only to be told it was too late to palce an order or there simply was not time for them to make another delivery. Trudy's was not only able to make such an amazing arrangement at his request but they were also able to have it delivered to my office by the time I left work that afternoon. I'm appalled by how expensive these flowers are considering that they are often damaged. I ordered some for someone in the building and they were brown around the edges and had cracked petals. Not the only time I have seen that from this shop. When they charge $40 for a fairly basic bouquet, that is simply inexcusable. The Pike Place Market sells bundles double the size for less than half the cost. Not only are those flowers are fresh and vibrant, but I feel much better supporting those vendors than this place. read more

I had a wonderful experience. I called and spoke to Tamara. I told her what type of flower I wanted and she sent me several pictures of different types of arrangements she could do with that flower. I told her which one I liked the best and the color that I would prefer. She went and found the exact flowers just for me. I had them delivered and asked if it was possible to schedule before noon. I have no idea what to do about flowers for my wedding. I went here since it was the closest to my workplace and I could stop by on my lunch break. When I met Tamara, she listened to what ideas I had, brainstormed via email with me and was very responsive and wonderful. She was honest with pricing and explained costs and worked with me to find the perfect bridal bouquet arrangement. She even invited me in to see a mockup of the bouquet with the flowers she was thinking of using for it. It.Was.Perfect.
