I live outside of Washington and ordered some flowers for a friend of mine in Seattle. The experience was perfect from start to finish. The website is so easy to use, and I love that they ask about colors and the design aesthetic of where the flowers are going (such a clever question to ask!). The flowers were delivered exactly on time, and looked STUNNING. My friend was totally blown away by the bouquet. I highly recommend Casablanca Floral!! read more

I won a floral arranging class at Casablanca Floral at a preschool auction. I had been looking for a similar class but had been wary of the costs of other options. The experience I had with Maura and her team was worth every penny and more! Maura was not only a warm hostess but her education background shone through the entire team. She was a phenomenal teacher and gave thorough, thoughtful and supportive guidance to everyone present. Her studio, gardens and floral choices are swoon-worthy. Her commitment to local, seasonal methods, plants and people are important. And I had so much fun! I will definitely be returning to Casablanca Floral for any flower needs. read more

Looking for a florist to send flowers for a birthday, and not being from Seattle, I went to Yelp to read reviews since I was unfamiliar with any businesses there. I was looking for a florist who showed a lot of style and creativity. I wanted to support local business and didn't want anything "ordinary or FTD" looking, those arrangements are pretty, just not what I look for. After researching several websites, I chose the first I had looked at which was Casablanca Floral. We worked directly with Maura & I sent her a few words to describe what I had in mind. The arrangement she created was truly unique in addition to being beautiful She is a true artist as well as great with customer service. I highly recommend her for floral arrangements if you are looking for unique, beautiful, well priced and someone who truly listens to what you are asking for. read more

I worked closely with Maura at Casablanca Floral to create a memorable experience for a bachelorette and was it actually memorable? ABSOLUTELY! Maura cared about all the details before and during the class - she asked about the bride's personality so she can cater the flower selection to her liking, what we wanted out of the class, everything. We had a delicious spread of drinks and snacks and Maura also surprised us with a delicious coffee cake. The set up in her back garden and studio was perfect and intimate. Cindy, Maura's assistant, was also amazing (they're a dynamic duo for sure!). She took great care of us, gave us some helpful tips and ideas. Overall, the bachelorette group had a ton of fun and we got to take home some beautiful arrangements. I highly recommend Maura for your next event or floral needs! read more

I took a Dahlia flower arranging class with Maura in the summer of 2018. It was one of the best classes I have ever taken in my life. I say that because almost three years later, I am still using the skills I learned in the class to transform my home on a weekly basis. I treat myself by buying flowers and various fillers at the supermarket (TJ's is a favorite) to create gorgeous arrangements for our home. I find the experience of flower arranging incredibly relaxing and looking forward to the ritual at the end of every week. I plan to attend the Mother's Day class this year...masks and all...and I can't wait. read more

I purchase flowers from Casablanca as special-occasion gifts. They are simply a cut above. There are a lot of people we like to honor with this: The top two impressions that I have whenever I see the bouquets we've purchased are: extremely fresh, and "arranged by a designer." Fresh: Casablanca's flowers somehow communicate the experience of an early spring morning. Compared to big-shop arrangements, the flowers are dewy. Their forms are completely expressive, unruffled by the trauma of being crammed into shipping crates. The flowers simply summon a vision of the fields and woods in which they natural live. Designed: When you see an arrangement from Casablanca, it is instantly apparent that a designer created an artistic expression with the flowers. Most florists do a very defensible job consolidating greens and florals into a balanced, well-proportioned assembly. Each one probably looks just about the same. That's not what you're getting here. Maura's work instantly says, "a person saw something unique about these specific flowers and arranged them in a way that highlights their only-one-in-the-world attributes. If you like big, showy, bundles of green, Casablanca's arrangements are not likely to impress you. If instead you're after something that is unique, that draws you in like an original painting, this is the place to shop. The only reason I give a 4 instead of 5 is I'm cheap and can't afford these every day! read more

I was lucky to attend a floral design class at Casablanca Floral with friends in December. The purpose of the class was to instruct attendees how to create holiday wreaths using natural materials from the Pacific Northwest. The class allowed us to create individually, with just enough guidance to help with details we might overlook. We adored our time spent with Maura, the owner of Casablanca Floral. She was kind and considerate, introducing herself and telling us about the class and what we should expect. The materials Maura provided us were extraordinary, beautiful and plentiful. The studio in which we worked is lovely, warm in feeling, bright in tone. I will take more classes with Maura again in 2018, a pleasant way to spend time with friends and learn something beautiful. read more

We asked Maura Whalen with Casablanca Floral to prepare a unique arrangement for a special occasion; Seattle jazz legend Overton Berry was performing a one-time reunion concert at Seattle's Royal Room performance hall... What Maura brought was so beyond our expectations, a stunning piece that accomplished our goal, to make Overton feel cherished and appreciated and to set the tone for the performance, one of love and reverence. Overton set the piece next to his piano for the entire concert and was delighted to return home with it as a token of appreciation for his performance. Maura's wit, concern, artistic skills and eye are evident within the first minute of talking with her about any item and we are delighted to have had a chance to work with her, with many more to come! read more

If you want beautiful and unique works of art in floral design then Maura is the artist that you want. She goes above and beyond your expectations. My most recent request from Maura at Casablanca Floral was a wrist corsage for my son's Prom date. Before designing, Maura asked me about the personality of the wonderful woman my son was taking to the dance. This question made so much sense to me, and, yet I had never been asked to describe the personality of a recipient of a gift of flowers. The wrist corsage matched the style of this young woman and am sure that she had the most unique arrangement on her beautiful gold cuff! Maura is an artist. And you can be assured that the emotion you wish to convey with flowers will be received. Because, there is no doubt, she puts her heart into every work of art. Patrice read more

Maura was recommended to me by a friend and I feel so fortunate to have worked with her. I needed something really special and unique as a gift for a friend but I didn't necessarily know where to start. Maura asked me some very thoughtful questions about the look and feel I was after and then I just trusted her to take it from there. I couldn't have been happier...she is a true artist and my friend was blown away by the incredibly beautiful arrangement. I also had the chance to pop into Maura's studio and it was straight out of a Nancy Meyers film set. I just wanted to sip tea and sit amongst the flowers all day.
