This is a very special florist. My brother and I came here when our grandfather passed away to have a sympathy bouquet made for our mom. The florist asked a few questions about what our mom would like, etc. and picked up on our mention that she is an avid gardener. The bouquet was beautiful, but made even more special because the florist had included live plants that our mom could plant in the garden in memory of our grandfather. I cannot thank Flowers on 15th enough for making this Mother's Day such a smooth process! My grandmother lives in Aegis on Madison and, man, that woman is the pickiest woman when it comes to floral arrangements! My mom and I have searched high and low for an amazing florist in the area to be our go-to for her birthday and holidays. Parking is tight in the neighborhood, but it's Seattle. The shop isn't very big, but it's packed with...flowers. Duh. The lady in the shop showed me several options, explained how to take care of the flowers, and how long they might last. She even gave me a vase and some flowers to take home for free (one of the attached pictures). In the end, I left with a beautiful bouquet (the second picture). Needing something cheerful + colorful for a friend who had to undergo a serious surgery, Caroline knew what to do and what questions to ask. You see, if she hadn't learned that the bouquet was for someone still lying on a hospital bed who would at some point be leaving the place, she could have made some huge over-the-top, tall bouquet that would have had to been tossed out upon departure. But she knows her stuff, and made sure to collect as much information as I was willing to share so she would know just what to prepare for my friend. On top of that, you can pay what's within your budget. Mine went a tad over, but honestly it was so worth it for the quality but also Caroline's genuine kindness. Her and the other partner (I presume, Alex, based off of other reviews) were so heartfelt and sweet - it is sad that those things stand out these days but it's just a testament as to the impression that they left. The bouquet was placed in a beautiful vase but because I would be carrying it around, she put the vase in a papered box and some tissue, which I thought was just beautiful in and of itself. The customer service here is stellar. If I could give 6 stars, I would. If I could give TEN stars, I would. I live in Austin, Texas but wanted to send flowers to someone I know in Seattle. I googled the zip code, found Flowers on 15th, and mapped the difference between their address and my friend's. Half a block, if that. So I called and described what I needed, what my budget was, and that I needed it delivered that day. Caroline said no problem, she'd pick out something lovely and tropical (longer-lasting) and I trusted her to do what was best. I know very little about flowers and had no idea what my money would buy, but hoped that she understood what I needed and would use her expertise to make me look good. When there turned out to be an issue with the address I'd given her, she called me and asked what I would like to do. Even though the flowers had been arranged and someone had walked out there on foot to deliver, she told me that she wouldn't charge me if the recipient could not get the flowers. I, unfortunately, did not have a current phone number or an alternate address for delivery, so I regretfully asked her to forget about it. I knew she and her staff went through the trouble of getting the flowers ready and offered to pay for them anyway, but she said absolutely not. Somehow, she figured out a way to deliver the flowers. I only know this because I got a message from the recipient -- a surprised, "How thoughtful!" and I was amazed that somehow Caroline found a loophole in our problems with delivery. Rude, microaggressive woman behind the little wicket gate. I walked up to the store thinking I would support a local biz even though I didn't need flowers, but the look she gave me made me realize why Seattle is the capital of microaggression. Seems like some people have not learned a thing from the times. "Well this is all I have," she said without a hint of customer service in her voice. Needless to say I walked away never to go back to that shitty store again. Businesses in Seattle need a wake up call--they cannot afford to act like they are doing customers a favor by serving them and they certainly cannot afford to pick and choose who they can be pleasant with and whom they can be curt with. Beautiful flowers and really reasonably priced. I had never used Flowers on 15th before but was looking for somewhere local to order flowers delivered for a relative in the hospital. I checked their website and saw their French Pack arrangements which I thought were really unique and cool-looking but I couldn't find prices listed online. The other place I was checking had arrangements starting at $75 so I was very impressed when the woman at Flowers on 15th quoted me something closer to the $30 range (plus delivery). I ended up opting for a $50 arrangement and my relative sent me pictures when it arrived. It was beautiful and really made her day. The flowers are fresh and of a high quality. In truth I know nothing about flowers, but the helpful staff is happy to assist and arrange flowers poetically to create for an awe inspiring arrangement. Flowers on 15th is a busy little shop but I've stopped in on a moments notice several times to create a gift for someone and the shop cheerfully accommodates. There is nothing generic or chain store like about Flowers on 15th which enables a more personalized shopping experience. If one is clueless, pick out a few colors and let the florist do the rest. I used Flowers on 15th for my wedding. I was VERY disappointed with the quality of the flowers that were delivered on the day of my wedding. It looked as though the flowers were put together the night before and were not refrigerated. My bouquet looked wilted and my bridesmaids bouquets looked even more wilted. The ribbon around my bouquet wasn't wrapped neatly around the bouquet. The ribbon was also randomly tied at the ends. I purchased a rhinestone brooch for my bouquet. The brooch wasn't on the bouquet. Unfortunately, I didn't notice it until the majority of my photos were completed. For the quality of the flowers, I would say they are very over priced. I was very disappointed with flowers on 15th and wouldn't recommend them for using them for your wedding. read more

I know I look like James (owner of the Canterbury), but it's me Matt. 'Oh hi, how are you? How was School today(she anyways remembers I'm a school psychologist). I found this shop in May when I needed graduation flowers for 7 graduating seniors. I called them and asked for individual roses prepared for each person. What I got were works of art with gorgeous tissue and rafia highlighting the loveliest roses. I also found the most positive and creative team of artists doing the work and just love the energy of the store. Fast forward a few months to today when I went in to pick up something small for a hostess gift. I start speaking with the owner and she's telling me about the red rose shortage for Christmastime and I make a comment about not having a red rose type person in my life right now to which she responds "but what about yourself? You need red roses". It made me smile and think, it was very caring. As I was leaving the store she pulled out a long stemmed gorgeous deep red rose and said "Here, put this in water when you get home". It was the most touching thing I've had done for me in ages by someone I don't even know the name of..... This is a special place with special people. Last Monday afternoon, I received a call. Alex was calling to confirm my address as he was a bit confused as to my location. He said he had a flower delivery for me, I was surprised as I hadn't had flowers delivered to me in about 20 years.
