What a terribly run place! I placed an order for a gift to be delivered 10 days in advance - they "missed" the order, written on the back of another order and never delivered it. When I called about it they offered to send something later still!!! They clearly cannot be counted on to deliver when they say they will - complete scatterbrain who is totally unreliable. My dad passed away last week. I had to notify all of my family members, near and far. The first bouquet of flowers we received was from my Dad's cousin's daughter from Dallas, Texas. Apparently she called Pipper's and told them it was important that the bouquet should LAST. She was very specific about that. It didn't. When it arrived, it was beautiful (honestly, way to go, Pipper's, it really was gorgeous!). Nice mix of flowers, lovely container, floral foam so required watering every day, which I did, diligently. Despite my best efforts and considerable knowledge about how to keep cut flowers fresh, it did NOT last. I literally have a bouquet of flowers that I put together 3 weeks ago and, with some "pruning", is still beautiful. Every flower in the bouquet we received from Pipper's was exhausted by day 3. Normally I wouldn't post a negative review about anyone, ever. But, it was a really big deal to my distant relative. And she had specifically asked for a bouquet that would "last". I didn't tell her about it and I won't tell her about it but, Pipper's, come on! Did you think you could take the easy/cheap route because the purchaser was out of state? Simply not okay. read more

I called in and asked for a bouquet for my girlfriend, specifying peonies and hydrangeas be used instead of roses and the color be focused on red because that'd her favorite color. I said I was willing to spend $50 to $75, sliding more towards the latter if I can get a nicer arrangement. She said she knows exactly what I'd like, which worried me a little because she didn't ask any questions like other florists. I tried asking what exactly she'd be using color-wise and she said it would be red and white with some purple. I said I didn't want a lot of purple, I just wanted it to be red-based with a bit of pink and maybe a little white. She sounded confident in what she was doing so I said I'd trust her. When I went to pick up the flowers she gave me a centerpiece, not a bouquet. Now, I don't know a lot about flowers... But I could tell this was cheap. It was full of greens and baby's breath. It was mostly greens with a lot of white and some purples and pinks. No red. And it had roses. I said screw it, I need flowers despite this not being exactly what I asked for and then being above the price I was quoted. After giving them to my girlfriend she was extremely upset with how it turned out. She said there were no peonies or hydrangeas (I don't know what they look like. Like I said, I don't know a lot about flowers). I called Pipper back, asking if I could be reimbursed for the overhead charge but pay for the price of the flowers, which I could return. She had an attitude, which would be understandable if I insulted her product and asked for a full refund, but I didn't. I simply said that it wasn't what I had asked for and that I would pay for the cost of the flowers but like a reimbursement for the rest. I hung up the phone when she said "This is how I do things. If you don't like it, I suggest just not coming here again." which I found to be extremely rude. Now I am out $75 for flowers I could have gotten from the grocery store, and I will definitely NEVER buy from this woman again. read more

I called Pipper's on the same day I needed some flowers delivered on The Island, and spoke to a very friendly woman. They put together an absolutely stunning arrangement for my sister's birthday. My sis, who is an experienced gardener with beautiful flowers on her property said it was the "most gorgeous flower arrangement" she had ever received, filled with exotic and very unique choices. I ordered a bouquet over the phone for a friend, sight unseen. Pipper (who works out of her home) was very friendly and helpful. My friend later send me a pic of the bouquet - it was GORGEOUS! It was obvious that time and quality went into the arrangement - my friend got rave compliments. Pipper really took the time to not only make a lovely arrangement, but to prepare the flowers so they would last, using only the freshest flowers. She could have done it on the cheap, but she didn't - I got great quality. A week and a half later, they're still beautiful and fresh-looking. I really took a chance ordering over the phone with someone I had never heard of and I am delighted with the results. I highly recommend this florist to give you your money's worth! read more

Pipper did flowers for my wedding several years ago. She was such a wonderful listener, did the flowers EXACTY how I wanted them, and the price was fair. Many other places quoted me the same or higher, but I definitely got a personal touch with her. Her work was worth every penny, I loved that I was able to reach her day or night if I had questions or concerns. She has a flower studio in her home, which keeps her costs down. She claims that it allows her to put more flowers into the orders and she is right! Also, I have sent arrangements to friends and family on the island and they last for weeks! She says that it is because she "treats" the flowers unlike many other florists (some kind of processing that allows them to last). You won't find this kind of service elsewhere on the island! Pipper is amazing. She did all of the flowers for my wedding and reception. She was so enthusiastic about all of my ideas, and I didn't think that anybody could capture my vision and execute it so beautifully. I got to meet with her a couple times before the wedding and she is so sweet and welcoming and for me going into it as someone who didn't know much about flowers, she took my jumbled non-florist jargon and made incredible masterpieces. I cannot say enough about how beautiful and perfect the flowers were. She came up with such unique and artistic ideas, I was blown away when I finally got to see them. I have not written a review before, but I thought I really needed to. After giving a lot of thought and being disappointed I needed to say something. I am sure this women is very nice as she sounded so on the phone. It was my daughters 40th birthday and she lives away from me. Wanted something special, and I saw floral arraignment at Safeway ( had no idea they delivered ) would have saved myself some disappointed. I asked Pippers Floral for Pink Roses with some filler flowers and greenery. I asked if $50 would be enough for a nice arrangement but increased it to $60 The flowers at Safeway were $57 and gorgeous. Well the flowers were delivered and it was a centerpiece with no Pink Roses, I could have done better. I called the lady back and said I was disappointed and no Pink Roses. She stated there were wild Roses, if anybody knows these look nothing like a rose . I told her 3 times I wanted it to be PINK ROSES, well she said the person that answered the door ( my son in law ) thought they were nice. What was he gonna say. ( ugly flowers from my mother in law) he knew nothing about what I ordered or what I paid. I just wanted to cry because I wanted this to be special for my daughter. This looked like she went to Walmart and bought some for $6.00 added 1 or 2 more flowers and called it a day. I could have bought 3 dozen Roses at Costco for $60. Will not order from her again. Next time I will read reviews first. This was just like Ryan's experience. read more
