I've only ever had good experiences coming to this store and I've been coming here for the past 10+ years. I grew up coming to this pet supermarket with rabbits, birds, and turtles, to which they've always been super helpful with food and other miscellaneous equipment for. Four years ago in 2019 I got a dog, which is obviously more involved, nothing about the place has changed and they've always been so friendly with me and my dog. I will say although it is a smaller store, and you're not familiar with the products they have, don't be surprised if they don't have it. PSA: the world doesn't revolve around you and your animal, sorry. Dog decided to break his leash while running after a squirrel so on my way back from the Keys, I stopped to run a few errands and his new setup is thanks to them. I grabbed treats and dog food while I was here and the endless variety of options was definitely a great option when deciding to spoil your pup. Since he protects his mother, Junior earned his chicken liver treats and I was able to score them in a jiffy. Clean store with plenty of parking and close to Exit 16 from the Turnpike, it's got a whole shopping center full of stuff we all need. I ended up buying some vitamins, eucalyptus soap, and a fresh flea collar because I don't want him being murky. Thanks to this spot, I got a few deals on random items and was able to buy plenty of supplies without spending too much money. If I can give this place a negative review I would. Don't ever shop here!!! I bought a plant for my aquarium from this place and it came with a parasite and has killed 3 of my fish already and 4 of my fish are infected. The assistant manager is not the problem he went out of his way to contact his manager to try to work something out and she won't help us. The manager and her name is Jessica said they can only offer 20% off. The 3 fish that have died were $50 so I'm losing money at the end of the day. Also we bought an axolotl from this place and it came sick. My wife spoke to her and told her there is nothing they can do. The manager is HORRIBLE!!! Horrible Service!!! I went to use the Dog Wash service. Not enough towels, not enough aprons... the staff didn't even care to accommodate us. The water has no pressure and the dryers are a joke. Have had really epic customer service experience from these folks literally every time we've been in, but today put them over the top. We came in looking for a few different things. I wandered off to look at aquarium plants, hardware, water test kits, water conditioner, etc., while my wife went to pick out a new collar and grab a 22 lb. bag of Blue Basics Duck & Potato for our retriever (pro tip: great food for any dog, but especially one with a sensitive stomach). Manny saw me browsing the tanks and immediately asked if I needed help. The guy was beyond friendly right off the bat. Could tell he was smiling even through his mask (yeah, if you get COVID, it won't be here. They don't play around.) We chatted while he pulled and professionally packaged my plants. Not surprised at all that the guy keeps his own tanks at home, including a big saltwater setup. I'm a horticulturist. I work with plants for a living. Realized fast that I didn't need to ask Manny to pull specific plants for me. The guy was doing the same thing I do. Whatever I have on the sales floor, I'm going to pull you the stockiest, fullest plants. Going to pull what I'd pull for myself. He bagged them SO carefully to minimize damage in transit. Efficient. Friendly. Knowledgeable. I'd totally trust this guy to pull an order if it were curbside pickup or even shipped. You can tell this isn't just a nine to five and a paycheck at the end of the week for him. The guy is passionate. We finally got up to the register. I'd already asked Manny for the name of the store manager. Laysus (hope I spelled it right) was working the point of sale right alongside her people. I have a lot of respect for that. You can't lead by example if you don't have boots on the ground. Having met her, I can see why the team at this store delivers such an unbelievable customer service experience. The cashier who checked us out, Lindzy...man, where to start with her. There are all kinds of things you can teach people, but positive attitude and work ethic aren't among them. And man, was she quick! Gal knows her POS. Half a day later, when I tried to call the store to spell Laysus' name correctly, I was on hold for 20-30 seconds, had an epic experience, asked for her name...still Lindzy! We spent ~$160 today. Going to be a lot more once I start ramping up paludarium builds. Great to have such a friendly, reliable place just across the street. TLDR: Way friendly, highly efficient, highly recommended. 10/10. Haven't dealt with a single subpar person once in almost two years. read more

I am a regular client at this store 12155 SW 152nd St, Miami, FL 33177 and never have any inconvenient, yesterday I went to buy NaturVet - ArthriSoothe-Gold - Level 3 Advanced Joint which are not cheap and some toys for me and my sister's dog. I was going to pay and the cashier made a mistake and he called the store manager Jessica, the cashier was also answering a phone call while we were waiting for him to finish with the transaction. Jessica came and void the transaction we don't know why and the cashier started all over again we asked the cashier if he can change for us a $50 dollar bill and again he answered the phone and wait for Jessica, he didn't continue with the transaction, Jessica voided again the transaction and was very upset. I told her why she was upset/ rude with us and she answered: "Because I had to void two transactions" I told her " I don't know what are you doing or why you didn't ask the cashier anything what was he doing, its not out fault that he has to void the transactions twice and without telling us anything. I told her again that she is the Store Manager and she's supposed to be nice with customers. She didn't said Im sorry or not Im not upset, she was angry and very upset even though she knew she was very rude. This is my nearest store but I will never go there. She was very rude and the people around was looking and other gentleman in the line told me that she was very angry and didn't help the other cashier knowing that there was a long line and only one cashier because she was upset. Let me start off by saying that I am not an animal person, so my need for pet supplies are nonexistent. I went to Pet Supermarket looking for a new home and supplies for a pet turtle (obviously not mine). The staff was helpful and friendly, and the store is stocked full of just about anything you would ever need for a pet. Like, did you know they make doggy diapers? I sure didn't. I am a regular at this store as it's close to home & I really love the staff. Every visit you get service with a smile & everyone is willing to assist. It's refreshing to see this at a chain pet store to say the least. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is due to the fact that they don't always have enough stock of my type of dog food (guess it's quite popular). Overall if they added their grooming station it will defenetely will earn then the added star. (I know it's on the works and hope it happens soon) They also have a low cost vaccine that they arrange for once a month and for the routine vaccines for a year they charge only $52 for your pup. I used to come in more frequently, but I now drive 20-30 mts out to find a store that takes better care of their animals. We have several pets, and need to make weekly stops for supplies or to buy fish. Each time I go in, I see the tanks in worse shape, with several dead and decaying fish. I've seen it early when they open, and closer to closing. Fish die, that's normal, but for no one to take the time to clean the tanks is inexcusable. The variety is limited as is, but it's worse when you have decaying fish releasing ammonia to the rest. This was once a convenient stop on my way home after work or early on Saturdays. Not anymore. The staff is usually friendly, but there should be someone older with more experience checking on the condition of the animals. Pet Supermarket is also limited on things that other stores provide, such as better filters, lights, meds, chemicals to treat aquariums, substrates, etc. read more

Friendly staff, always greeted at the door and help is always offered! My dogs food, Natural Balance, is always stocked and in a variety of favors and decent selection of Blue treats! I hate it that they discontinued to sell double pack of peanut pressed bones because my pup salivates over it, but there are a ton of other alternatives. Tip: do not buy ceramic dog bowls, ceramic pet jars, pet food storage containers, pet shampoo, or paw sipes here..they are too expensive and you can find it a lot cheaper at Marshall's. read more

The staff here is very friendly, if you need help you'll find it very quickly. The store is rather clean and its a good,fun environment. The only complain I have is that their aquatic items are never re-stocked or changed. I go about once a month and every time I pass by the aquatic area there is the same on sale sticker with a cobweb growing on it. Management here is very unorganized. I walked into this pet supermarket to buy some cat food and I was greeted by Christian, possibly the nicest SA I've encountered in a while. He asked me if I was looking for anything in particular or if I needed help and I kindly told him no and continued to the cat food aisle. I then decided to look for a toy for my pup which was the area Christian was near when I first walked in. He immediately asked if I was looking for a toy for my dog and continued to ask me questions to help me find the best toy possible given my dog's preferences (yes, my dog is particular about the toys that she finds entertaining). I was really impressed by how knowledgable he was on all the products and you could tell he really enjoyed helping me. What was even more inspiring is that he seemed to be young (based off appearance) and I rarely find young employees working in retail who go out of their way to help a customer. I believe it's just as important to acknowledge stellar customer service as it is a good product and this review is solely for Christian. Really helpful staff, it was a great quick option to pick up for more dog food for my puppy. They didn't have the normal bag size I normally get, but they had a coupon for the larger size so I went that route. The guy behind the register carried the bag of food to my car, which was a relief, I don't think I could have carried it! I used to come here a lot,about 2-3 years ago, with some friends and enjoyed looking at the animals and playing with them. I remember it being very professional and the employees taking very good care of the animals. But I just went in there not to long ago and did not like it at all. There were three employees there with what seemed to be one of the employees little brother or something. The little boy, maybe 10, kept running around, doing the shoot dance, dabbing and being very loud. He even knocked stuff over. The employees seemed to pay no attention to any of the animals, customers and anything else that wasn't the little boy. The employees were being very loud and it gave me a headache. I went over to the hamsters, guinea pigs and birds and i couldn't help but notice that one of the hamsters seemed to be dead and one seemed to have an external problem. what i'm trying to say is that this place has definitely gone down. read more
