I've been going to this PetSmart location for 22 years, almost as long as it has been open. When I got my Pandemic Puppy - a long haired miniature dachshund - I decided for once I would get a dog formally trained. He's a smarty pants who can open his wire kennel from the *inside, so I knew he'd do well. Libby is my trainer, a very, very experienced trainer who has gorgeous dobermans. She brings them to class (kenneled) and it is fun to see how well-trained they are. Puppy classes are for pups 10-20 weeks and class size is limited to 8 pups to allow social distancing during COVID. The puppy classes allowed the pups to socialize at the beginning of each class - which was hilarious fun due to the wild variety of puppy sizes - and then we learned sit, down, loose leash walking, watch me, come, and wait. These are all excellent commands to teach a puppy. PetSmart also offers a Puppy's First Play Date where your puppy gets to play with others for two hours for free! And then there's Puppy Grooming to get your baby accustomed to baths, dryers, nail trims. I took advantage of ALL of these, especially because you can't send an intact (not spayed/neutered) dog to puppy daycares. This is a chance to socialize early. Sweden is now enrolled in the Beginner class and I'm excited with how well he's doing. I highly recommend these services.
