In fact, Gentle Care Grooming just signed another 5 year lease so they are "here to stay". Vanessa (the owner) and her husband run a 2 man show. I have taken both of my dogs (shitzaus) there for the past 13 years and I can say without a doubt that they do a wonderful job. I always feel my dogs have been well taken care of and loved while they are away at the "beauty shop". Their building is in a little bit of a run down strip mall but don't let that influence you from using them. Their hours can get a little tricky as they are only open from 7:30am to 3pm (or whenever the last dog gets picked up) Tuesday - Saturday. This is NOT a doggy day care so be expected to pick up your pet close to the time he/she will be finished. Have you cash or check book handy as do not take any credit cards. I would highly recommend this groomer to anyone in need of one!

Our daycare experience was great, minus some turf burns on his paws but our boarding experience was less than ideal. When we came back to pick him up, there was this "hot spot" under his chin/neck area. When I brought it up with the staff at pickup, they weren't even aware of it. The lack of attention to detail on my pup is concerning as you could tell it had been festering for a few days. I hate that I am now left with this uncertain and uneasy feeling about his care there. Major dog mom guilt :(

He had bleeding cuts to the skin in his peri area and ears. It will take months to grow back the disgusting job they did on our beloved family member. They did refund my money, after first arguing that's how golden's are typically done. Ask your local vet. They will tell you to stay far, far away from this place. I try to support local businesses, but this is one place you should definitely skip. Full Disclosure: our dog gets groomed monthly, previously at Dog Savvy in downtown Denver, Colorado. (That is a wonderful place should you happen to move there) He is a winning show dog that just needs maintenance trims in between trips to the breeder for the real deal.

I brought both my dogs here while I was home visiting my mom…read more My first visit was because my pup had pustules and I needed a refill. I called them to see if I could get a refill if my vet in Georgia faxed in a prescription. They informed me of the price, got all my info and said they could call me when it was ready. Hours later I got a call from them informing me that my vet did not fax it in yet. I called my vet and they said they sent it, overall it was a back and forth game but I finally got my prescription. I was impressed that even though my pup was not a regular patient at this clinic; they reached out to me to let me know they had not gotten the prescription. During my second visit, I brought my dogs in because one of them had worms in their stool. The technician and the vet were so helpful and friendly. They each took their time asking me questions, looking at my dogs and asked me questions about life. They were genuinely concerned about my dogs and interested in me. This was impressive because not only did they care about the health of my dogs but they wanted to get to know me as an individual. The entire staff that I encountered were all friendly and helpful. From the lady I spoke with about the prescription to the lady that checked me out. The prices here for the prescription and both dogs being seen was reasonable. I was expecting it to be much higher. I would highly recommend this clinic. If I have any problems again with my dogs when I'm home in MN, this is where I would bring them. **FYI, there business cards are also discount cards. You can get $20 off your first visit if you give it to them, they are by the registers. I didn't notice this until later after my first visit.

Also, if his eye had been cut, I would not have taken him for grooming, I would have been taking him to vet. This cut, you can tell from the pictures is a fresh wound. I understand that accidents can happen, but to lie about to my face!? That just makes the grooming staff look like fools! I'm angry that they didn't take good care to not injure my dog, and even more angry that they lied about, and tried to say that maybe I had done it!! I'll update this review if Chuck & Don's takes care of the vet bill...because I went right to the vet with him after I picked him up. This should never happen to our beloved pets. I will never take my dog to any Chuck & Don's for grooming again. 5/3/2026: UPDATE: I was called today by the district manager. I Do feel like sh listened to me and took my concerns seriously. I also feel like she cared that my dog was injured. She did assure me that Chuck & Don's would definitely take responsibility for the vet bills. I appreciate that she reached out to me. I am upgrading my star rating to a 3 because of the way the company is handling this incident.
