The first stay was great. Carmen took great care of our dog and our dog was happy during her stay. Carmen (owner) keeps you up to date with posts on social media (if you allow the posts of course). The facilities are over the top! Super Clean! Your dog will get a room (yes an actual room) with a view a hammock bed, with bedding and the option to have a kennel/crate if needed. Your pups will not be in a cold chain link kennel like other boarding facilities. Our dog had a great time and received the loving care we were looking for when boarding our dog. Lots of love and room to roam indoors and outdoors. Which of course meant plenty of exercise for our dog. I would highly recommend Dogz & Katz for anyone looking to board their dog (or cat).

The doghouse is ventilated and has UV light irradiation for return air to assist with germicidal protection. Dogs are let out several times a day for 30 minutes of exercise and play. Cats have rooms that are 6' x 8' with a window and outside bird feeder, a cat tree for lounging, climbing and scratching and lots of individualized attention. There is an Executive Suite that is 11' x 12' too!

They have cameras in every room so you can always see what your pup is up to. They start with a slow introduction with dogs, slowly increasing the number in a room to ensure your dog is okay and not overwhelmed. They have a website for easy online booking or an app as well! I love the app as I waste away my afternoons watching the cameras to see her play! Staff has always been so great and my dog LOVES it here!! When you board, you can specify when and how much your dog eats. You can add on services such as one on one interaction time, snuggle, grooming, nail trim, etc! On your first day, you get a welcome packet and photos of their first day! Minnie and me love it here!

During the summer, spring, and fall she is a-okay because she's walked every single day - but when the walks are shorten because it's 10° we all know what happens. Cue: doggie daycare consideration. They seemed a little understaffed, but hey that's the new normal with COVID. What I can tell you is they average about three dollars an hour with me to take care of my puppy... the same price I'd pay a neighbor kid to walk them - but I get 8-10 HOURS of puppy free time. ... AND puppy is usually completely spent for 10-15 hours after I get her back. She knows exactly what / where Camp BW is and loses her stuff every time we pull up. So - for me five stars. Will update if I get wonky salon services. But for the most part the staff is courteous enough - the hours are right - and it seems to be priced okay. For now I will keep recommending (and budgeting for) CBW for my sanity in our cold MN winter months.

Those three words cause a tail-wagging frenzy in our house and the entire drive to camp. Walk in the door to Camp Bow Wow and immediately be greeted by pleasant smells, a well appointed rustic camp ambiance, and a friendly greeting for you and your pup. By this point, Wentworth is already tugging towards the doors to play with his pals in the back. He's off. But I never fear... I can see him on the numerous video monitors showing the entire play areas. I can even see him from home, via the video monitors on the Camp Bow Wow's website. Cool, right? Setting up an appointment or reservation is super easy by phone or online. I pay when pick Wentworth up at the end of his stay. ***Reduced rates are even offered for multiple dogs or package deals. All of this is great. But the best part is the evident happiness I see in Wentworth when I pick him up. He loves this place even more than I do. Thanks, Bow Wow - It will be a peaceful night at home. Bring your dog, you won't regret it. Wentworth thanks you for it (and he'll make another pal).

We immediately took off to the vet to get up-to-date as our dog was just hitting his 3-year birthday. We were told $25 per day. We planned to drop our dog off Saturday evening and pick up early Monday morning. When we arrived, the lady acted as though I was a few classes far below her and demanded to know why our dog wasn't up-to-date on shots. I tried smiling and telling her that he was now up-to-date and was wearing the new vet tags. She jumped down my throat telling me that was not good enough. I cringed. I turned to my son and asked him to go get the paperwork we had in the vehicle. Yikes. She didn't stop to ask if I had the paperwork, but instead felt the need to berate me while grimacing at me. I asked about the charges. Turns out, it wasn't $25/day, but $27. And, I was going to be charged for a full 3 days, even though he was only going to be there for 39 hours (less than 2 days). I questioned her (politely) on this, she huffed again and told me that's just the way it was. When I said it would be less than 48 hours, she began to rudely cut me off. She then told me she had to clean the kennels. I wondered what that had to do with me . . . . isn't that part of doing business? We were in Mpls only for a couple of days and felt trapped. Even though she was incredibly rude and demeaning, we decided we'd still book and pay her ridiculous fees. She then picked up the vet paperwork and determined that our vet had missed an important shot . . . . one that she never told us about even though we booked ahead to get the pertinent information. We drove away, convinced our surprise visit to ValleyFair for our sons was ruined. Thank goodness, we found a very understanding hotel.
