I think this store is awesome! They offer so many healthy choices for those who may have picky pets, pets with allergies, special needs or for those who best to their own drum when it comes to feeding their pet. The store is clean, and the employees are super friendly and highly knowledgeable when it comes to the food they carry. I have a pom-chi who was on a vet recommended food that was grain free, but still had taurine in it to prevent heart issues from being on that type of diet. His coat was really poor. I found a great food that I give him which made his fur look amazing again, but it is from a grocery store so I was looking for something that may be a bit healthier if possible. Maybe Nutrish wasn't all that bad? Am I worrying too much? Ashlee was able to tell me comparable foods they carried that was right up our alley and educated me how they were the same and how others were different that they offered. I was so impressed I felt like I was talking to the food doctor. When I checked out the gentleman ringing me up offered healthier samples that compare to the exact 2 foods I was currently giving our pup. They have great listening skills and seem to really care. Pet Planet also offers toys, bathing items, leashes and collars, bulk food and more. A gentleman helped me during checkout. Another employees that knows their stuff. He educated me further and knowing what we needed, he sent me home with some good quality samples for your pup to try. They have a rewards program as well. Wow, what a lovely experience I had here with my two young huskies! I have a 4 mo and a 2 yr old. My two year old is scared of people but we are working with her. So I drive by this place all the time and I live close by. I have three dogs And figured it was the day after Thanksgiving let's see what deals they have. I have to say I bought two hedgehogs because one dog does not play with toys. A bag of pig ears and some shampoo. My total was $60 which to be fair I was not expecting to pay that much but that is my fault as I was not paying attention to how much the pig ears cost. Honestly it was not a bad price I think it was two dollars and change per pig ear And I got a bag of 12. But my dogs loved every bit of it so it was worth it. Spent 20 minutes with one of your staff members looking over all of your treats to find some thing my tiny dog who is fed raw could eat. Brought four bags of treats and a container of goats milk to the register. My total was almost $75 and I wasn't allowed to check out because the store refused to take $100 bill. Refreshingly engaging and knowledgeable, willing to assist (yes, in 116 degree weather she insisted on helping me out to the car!) and genuinely happy to be there. This business is so very worth supporting, even if it means giving up door delivery convenience, it's totally worth it. I was so impressed by my visit to use the self serve wash, I was ready to turn around to go back to shop after dropping my pups at home. So excited I found this gem! We have a 7 month old German Shepherd and she goes through bones within 30 minutes to an hour after buying them! Wanting to find her some bones that she could spend some more time on. Miguel helped us out and he gave us so much info on all the different bones I was so shocked with all the information he provided! We ended up getting her the raw frozen bone (2 pack) and a cheese bone. We gave her the cheese bone tonight and happy to say it's been a few hours and she's about half way through it so it's an improvement. Will try the raw frozen bone tomorrow. Miguel gave us great service. He gave us a few dog food samples to try out with her as well after she's done with her puppy food. We also bought her a new Kong toy. We have spent hundreds on toys for her some of which last 10 minutes. Kong is the best all the toys she still has are made by Kong . She has 2 Kong tennis balls a Kong ball rope and now a Kong football! They have a great selection of Kong products that can't be found at other stores! They also have a reward program and they do special things on each day of the week such as free treat day or bones on sale etc. So excited to have found such a special place to treat my special girl with great products sold by great people! My dog Gus has been battling valley fever for over a year. Every 3-4 months, he would go in and get tested to see how well he was responding to the meds. The titers would never level out. They would be high, then low, then high and so on. Today, I received the results on Gus's blood work. The titer count was in the negative. The vet was surprised. He said that this rarely, if ever happens and that it is a good chance that the valley fever may not return. I have to thank my neighbor Pam for introducing me to Pet Planet three months ago and the staff at Pet Planet. They provided me with the knowledge and more importantly, the quality dog food and other products that helped Gus's immune system stay strong, to battle the valley fever. Without the help of the staff at Pet Planet and the products they recommended for Gus to battle the valley fever, I truly believe, he would not be where he is at today, without them. Been to this location several times & I love how clean and organize this place is unfortunately the last four times I bought treats recommended for my malamute husky. I don't know if I have one picky furbaby but the last four bags of treats he won't eat. I do wish these locations offered some kind of credit or discounts for returning practically a full bag of treats like other competitor pet stores. Looks like I have to stick to what I know and not try the new items from now on.
