Margo's does a great job with the dogs. They aren't afraid to stay there which says a lot. I have two mini Schnauzers. They look good every visit, if not totally consistent. I've found that common with a Schnauzer cut, so no knock on them. They do get busy, especially around holidays, so make sure to have a reservation. read more

Because of the Yelp reviews for the pet groomer that I had used before, I became concerned and decided to try someone new. Margo's came out on top with Yelp, so I decided to give them a try. I will say they got me in within the week, where some are backlogged for two months! A big plus there! I guess the inside was not as nice as expected. It was a large room with low partitions and a large dog barking so loud that all of the groomers had earbuds in. It appears as though the larger dogs were in pens and the smaller roamed the grooming area. Noticeably missing were and seats up front so anyone waiting would have to stand. Also, upon entering, the smell kind of hits you in the face. The first impressions stand out so hopefully something could be done there. Okay, the most important part. How did they do with my dog? Well, when I picked Bandit up, he was well groomed and happy to have lost all of that hot fir for summer. They did trim his nails, but it appears as though clippers were used. Because he had been injured by clippers before, he shivers when the nails are being cut. My preference would be the sanding tool instead. Maybe this is something that could be requested. We have been using Margo's for 4 years now. I had 2 golden doodles, although one has passed away. We have our Max, groomed every 5-6 weeks and they do a great job. Dogs are not put in cages but allowed to move about in a large room. For dogs that are more aggressive, they have a penned area. I love that I can drop him off early if needed and I know he won't be caged. This is the only place that is consistent in not cutting off his long beautiful eyelashes! read more

The one is a longer hair and it was pretty out of control after 6 months of not getting groomed due to Covid. We asked them go short but to short. This place is like a doggy day care mixed with a groomer. Be sure you call ahead to make an appointment as they are always busy and normally there is quite the wait. Once set up drop your furry friends off and that's that! They don't cage the dogs while they are there which is huge for men they let them free roam and enjoy themselves when they are not being bathed or treated. My dogs hate cages so this was a major win for me. Two of my dogs are over 100 lbs and they are able to handle them with no issues. My Bernese Mountain Dog looks so great when he comes back. My husband took our 9 lb. Morkie there to be groomed. He called after 3 hours and 45 minutes. They told him it would be another 15 minutes. When he picked her up she was coughing and panting. He thought she was just excited to see him and anxious to get home. The coughing and panting got worse. After Urgent Care and Vet examination she has a collapsed trachea.... I went there and asked calmly if an accident occurred and I was told no that is common in small dogs. No, accidents occurred. I guess will never know! Since there is no proof. I told them as I walked out she will not be making her next appointment . All I know is we took our sweet baby there to be groomed and now she has collapsed tranche. read more

I've been taking my pooch Rocco to this groomers for a few months now. This was the first location I had tried when I first started taking Rocco to a dog groomers. I highly follow other reviews so I decided to check it out. It's not exactly close to home either. I had no clue what I wanted or what I was looking for. But the owner was very kind and helpful in her suggestions. A few weeks later, I decided to try some other groomers that were more closer to home for me. I believe I tried 2 or 3 others and was not too happy. I realized what I wanted for my pooch and would tell them exactly what I wanted. But the other groomers would steer me away from what I was looking for. Would advise me that it would completely ruin the coat of my pooch or they would more want to cut his hair how they wanted to rather than what I wanted. Then I decided to come back to Margo's because I loved the way they cut Rocco's hair the very first time. They set the example and the bar of what I wanted his cut to be like. I never have any hassle with the girls up front on what I want. They listen to everything you say and if you are unsure, then they help explain. Easy enough! Once you find what you want or even need to make adjustments, they take down the notes and you're set for next time! I've also had no troubles ever for booking an appointment. Really not too happy about the service provided by this place. They were nice but it didn't feel big dog friendly. I spent $60 and gave a $10 tip and basically for a nail clipping. I dropped him off at 1:30 and they didn't call me back. I had to call at 4:55. 5 minutes before they were closed for the night. Not sure how it took almost 4 hours. My dog was suppose to get a shampoo bath and the fulminator to eliminate his under shed. I can confirm he didn't not receive the extra service I paid for because he is shedding worse than before he went in. I can't get a call back and I've tried reaching out to the Facebook page because unprofessionally there is no email. Still can't get a reply that way. So sadly here I am writing a shitty review to hopefully get contacted by the owner because I do not recommend this place and I will not go back as of right now. read more

Have used Margo's Dog Salon since it opened many years ago. My Poodle looks forward to her visit every 2-3 months. Poodles are high maintenance dogs but she's worth it. As others mentioned they have NO CAGES. Cost is about average I guess ($40) but worth it for what they do and care about your pet. They usually have at least 4 groomers. Let me start by saying Margo's used to do a fantastic job on our dogs, however, for the past 6 months (roughly) the quality of work that has been done on our dogs has drastically declined. Not only has the quality of cut gone down hill, but one of our dogs who used to have no issues getting brushed/combed is petrified of it now! I have no clue what has happened, but she is no longer our "tough" girl when it comes to that. We have schnauzers and today was my final straw. Our mini came back with a line cut around her body where the skirt starts. That's what amateurs do when they have no clue had to fade it. If I wanted amateur I would do it, lol! We have had many discussions about the decline in quality of cut, but it doesn't seem to help. I'm sad, because they are really nice people (at least at the front desk). read more

Many people may have a great experience here, but I did NOT. You may if you choose to go here, but please be informed and take the risk of you choose to do so. I called a few weeks back to ask how much it cost to give my dog a day of beauty. The woman who answered asked what kind of dog I had, and I said a shar pei/lab, who had lab hair. I told her that she needed a bath, brush, her nails trimmed and some parts of her hair cut, as well as her stomach and rear shaved. I said she grows hair long in random spots, so I need it cut there to be even with the rest of her body. She puts me on hold, then comes back and says $45. I say great, and schedule an appointment. I want to add that she went to the same place for a long time, but I felt like the last 2-3 spa days they were slacking. Lesson learned, I will return to her usual place and talk to them in detail instead of looking for someone else... In FOUR MONTHS when my dogs hair grows back. Her appointment was scheduled for 1, but they put me down for 12:30. I got a call that I was late for my appointment which confused me. I worked late, so my husband dropped her off and put me on the phone with the owner (not the groomer, which I didn't know) and I explained to her what I wanted. She said so you want a tight cut? FYI- tight cut means SHAVED, since apparently as a customer, you need to understand groomer verbiage. I didn't know what that meant, so I said the longer parts of her hair need to be even with the rest of her body. She repeated herself, as did I... Two more times. She said a tight cut means it will be shorter than usual. She did NOT say shaved. It sounded like the longer hair would be shorter than normal, meaning it would match up with the rest of her body, which is what I was asking for. I hang up the phone, and they tell my husband they will call when they're done. They did not. 3.5 hours passed and my husband calls to see if she is finished since he was out and about and they tell him yes. Thanks for the call! He gets there and they tell him $58. What?! So he pays and doesn't leave a tip, because that is what would have paid had her bill been what they told me over the phone. Harlow gets home and I nearly keel over. You can clearly see what they did to my dog. I forgot to snap a pic of the cuts they left her, and the bled out toenail. Whoever cut her nails also forgot to cut 2 nails, and one they cut too short and made her bleed... And it bled a lot, because her entire nail was brown. I call after I am done freaking out, and the manager was useless. I wanted a refund, and she said I needed to speak to the owner who wasn't there. I called first thing in the morning and my call originally started off nice because I wanted to inform the owner what the groomer did. She proceeds to tell me she was the one I spoke to the day prior, so my tune changed. She says Harlow isn't shaved, but in the same breath tells me that a tight cut means shaved... And also says she didn't see Harlow when she was done because she left to pick up her kids (as if I care). So after this huge argument, she tries to give me a discount because she still "got a bath and a brush". WHAT DID YOU BRUSH?! She orignially offered to "fix" what was done. What was she going to do? Glue her hair back on? I refused and said I wanted a full refund, and she relented when I said I was going to show all of social media what she did. She tells me to come in for a refund, and she was putting notes in Harlow's file... As if that matters. I'm never returning! She then refunds me with a personal check instead of refunding my card. I sat on this for a week debating if I should tell this story to you, Facebook, Google, BBB and everything else I can think of, but compromised by putting my story here because in all honesty, I only got my money back because I freaked out, not because she was doing the right thing and felt bad for what happened to Harlow. Also, they don't wear their masks properly, don't wear gloves, and there is no hand sanitizer. read more

I love this groomer! I took my Chipoo, Dany, into Margo's Pet Spa since she was looking a little scrappy. Upon walking into her shop, immediately I could tell that Margo adored animals. That's a great sign! We decided to get Dany trimmed and "furminated", in order to diminish some of the shedding. It only took her a little over an hour to groom Dany.
