We have been buying from this location for years as we live in Green Valley... Sometimes their stocks are not full and incomplete.. As for cashiers, there are no friendly ones and no greeters except for one young dude but he's gone maybe back to school.. For few times we went and bought our dog food, these woman cashier has been nothing but rude and un friendly. Just looked at us as we entered and as we checked out she was busy playing with her phone or reading a book and just gave the receipt to us without even looking nor saying thank you.. We instead said thank you and have a great day but the response was aha, like aha is not an answer as per Judge Judy.. Love the pricing! Made getting supplies for my foster kitties a breeze. They also have a huge selection of items!

The most horrible experience the vaccine starts at 3 pm on Sunday and l waited 2 hours because the staff came 25 minutes late and then one the staff checking in skipped us in line and she was gonna keep going until I said. Why are you skipping us we were here in line for a long time and the staff was a clumsy Chinese lady. That was very unprofessional ! 5 stars consistently. I take my pets for shots & flea meds on Sundays at VIP pet care. Staff here are helpful if u need them but not intrusive if u don't. I buy chicken feed, worms, cat stuff & specialty bird toys. They have a breath spray for my dogs potty mouth that is a lifesaver. Always easy parking & great selection of fish & products. Love it here. Prices are often lower here than other pet stores so shop here first read more

Good selection of products and knowledge staff. Especially the fish guy who is super helpful and always teaches us new things!

I've been shopping at pet pub for 25 years. Today was not a good day. My son bought a bag of food. That I don't feed. I called and asked if I could return without a receipt. He said I could exchange, I was fine with they. I went to return it. I came in and waiting up front because no one was there. When she came back I said I was returning it to get the food I feed. I waited till she was free. She asked if I had a receipt. I said no. She grabbed the basket and pulled it away. I said wait this is mine! She continued to pull it away put it behind her and told me to go get the food I want. I asked her why she was being so rude. She said "sorry, but yeah" I said "but yeah, what"?? She said sorry. With a very rude tone. So i asked to talk to a manager. He came out. And he was acting strange to me too. Said they don't sell that food. But they do sell pro plan. I said i called he said I talked to him. And that I said a friend or someone bought it for me. I asked how to i find out where it was sold? Said I need to ask them where they got it. I said "i said my son said pet club. " I don't get why these people are rude for no reason at all!! That girl should not do a job she has to deal with people. Before me there was an elderly man buying a crate. He asked her "I have a 10 pound dog, is this the size I need? She said "I DONT KNOW!" All he wanted was help. He asked if she thought it was ok. Still no help from her. She just said "it's whatever you dog is" or something like that. So I walked up to help him because I'm pretty knowledgeable about dogs and crates. And the lady behind him helped too. Told him it was a little big. He didn't want one so big. He clearly was having a hard time hold the crate. People need to have more heart and stop being mean! She was about 20, long hair that looked grey and black. Sad I've been a customer for longer than she has been alive and she makes me want to never come back. read more

Came here specifically for dog and cat food, and the variety and prices are quite good. Downside is the service - woman at the checkout counter was just playing on her phone and literally threw my items in the bag at checkout. 5 stars for the items and 0 stars for the service. Do better. read more

I'm giving this store a 0 but Yelp doesn't have a 0 star. Horrible customer service by the store manager "Robert"...he's rude and treats customers like sh*^. Taking his frustrations out on customers is not professional and uncalled for! I feel sorry for the employees under him. I will never patronize this store even if their prices are lower than some. Pay that extra buck at Western Supply, Petco or Pet Express.!! Pet club sucks!!! read more

Walked in, knowing where to find the cough medicine for dogs. Went over to that aisle looked out of stock, I didn't know if there was another section or possibly more in the back since my dog had kennel cough. I asked the kid who works there named Matthew. I said Hey, do you guys have another section for cough medicine for dogs or any more in the back? And he says to me "try that aisle." I told the kid oh I was already in that aisle. He looked at me and made a big loud sigh. Then he walked over to the aisle and I followed behind, eager to slap him in the back of head but I did not. He looked around and just said "guess we're out of it,"and then walks away... well no sh** sherlock. I could've told you that My god customer service at this place is a hit or miss and this time it was a miss. You'd also think they would follow up with oh we have this or that or we don't carry any other type of medicine here for cough or here are some remedies for your sick pup. Be knowledgeable. If you work at the place, get to know the place, learn some facts. Be an asset. Matthew is clearly not an asset. Matthew, learn some manners, also if you're sighing over 10 steps to an aisle, I don't think it's the place for you champ. Try working in healthcare, that will humble the hell out of you in no time. Good luck "i guess" read more

Very disappointed in Pet Club. We got another puppy 6 weeks ago. Shortly after getting her we bought a matching crate as we already had one for our boy. We noticed the box was taped but didn't pay any mind. Didn't try to put it together until today while she was at her spay appointment. What they sold us was missing pieces and important parts. We didn't save the receipt and it's well past 30 days so we made do and my husband managed to put it together dispite having a missing side door. I can't believe they restock broken crates and sell them to customers. They've lost our business. read more

Came here to get some vaccines for my kitten and they told me I had to bring him to the back IN THE BATHROOM to give him the shots and I was not allowed back there. After waiting for 1 1/2 hours!! I was not leaving my kitten, and I was told that it was not possible for me to fit in the bathroom, when I've been in there and it's a big bathroom. I was told the vet could look at his teeth and determine his age. When I asked the vet she said 1-2 years old! he is 5 months, goes to show they know tf there talking about. read more

Great low prices compare to other pet food stores! With amazing selections of products for your pet needs.

Atrocious service. Went for feeder fish. New customer rep let's me know what fish they have although I can clearly see they are lacking in feeder guppies. Let's me know one lady is ahead of me and being helped by the fish guy. Cool. I go look for a dog toy about 15 min later... come back trainee clerk is chatting up the woman before me, and the guy is feeding the minnows I was going to buy. Complete silence from BOTH. Ok paid for my dog toys and left. Stay away if you brown, they're not going to help you. read more

Poor review today. I come here and spend at least $200 dollars every time. Today I spent close to $400. Their register was acting up. It charged me and the nice clerk told me I took my card out too fast. He credited my account. Then he charged my card again. But the receipt does not come out and it's not showing charged on their registers end. Now this other clerk approaches and calls corporate and they decide they want to charge me another almost $400, even though my bank account shows it came out of my account. I then call my bank. I find out I wasn't charged even though it's showing in my account that I was charged. I go to the next register and another nice lady rings me up. That whole time this other clerk watches the entire transaction and treats me as if I did something wrong here. The new checkout comes up approximately $1.83 short from what the malfunctioned register charged me. He says, out loudly, it's three something short and walks out from behind the register and all the other customers in line are staring at me as if I am trying to rip them off. He is looking at me as if this is my fault and as if he wants to re-ring it again a third time! I made a comment about this and he said: "just let her go." I then asked him why I am be treated this way like I did something wrong when your register malfunctioned? He said he knew it was their register but his attitude was like he was blaming me and now blaming me for the $1.83 difference after approximately a half hour wait. I feel like I was treated like a criminal while other customers watched as if I did something wrong here when I am standing there with two big carts of merchandise that I paid for and when their register was malfunctioning. All I have to say is poor customer service today on the "other clerk" who doesn't know how to treat a customer. read more

April's leash and collar were pretty much worn out so we thought it was time to replace them. We checked in at Pet Club and all dog shoppers must be on leash to enter the store. This place was huge! We wandered through several wide aisles of pallet racking then found the leash and collar section. They had a variety of sizes, styles and colors. After we explored our options we made up our mind. I grabbed a leash, a collar and a small dog harness all in matching red. Before we hit the register we stalled for a while in between aisles and tried to figure out how to properly install the harness. We asked for assistance and Sean came to the rescue. This young friendly fellow took like twenty seconds to put it on our April. The weird thing was April didn't bark and didn't mind at all which was unusual of her since by nature she's a loud mouth specially when it comes to meeting strangers. I guess she smelt that friendship and trust right from the get-go. In addition to a crapload of pet food and supplies, this store had live fish! But doggone it no credit card purchases allowed. They only accepted debit card, cash or checks only. We paid cash and grabbed a free treat on the way out. Great service! Goodbye pink hello red... read more

Pet club has great prices and selection. We buy my baby all his food and much of his stuff from there. They carry top line brands like HIlls Science Diet and more obscure but high quality ones like Royal Canin. Their prices, if on sale, are unbeatable. They are located right next to Costco gas, so time your pet shopping with your fuel ups and save double!! The reason they don't get 5 stars is they only take Cash!!!!! What's up??? read more

Pet Club - My favorite place for kitten chow! - Pet Stores Near Me - Fairfield, California

Great place to get pet supplies!! I like coming here more than other mainstream pet supply store because of the variety AND the prices. Very large selection of dog treats, food, shampoo, and housing for them although I do wish dog pillows and houses would be a slight cheaper. I often have to get cages and they start to rack up. However they do last a long time so I guess it works. It's also nice that I can bring my puppies with me and tote them around in the shopping cart. I would like it if the employees would be a slight more helpful and friendly. They barely say hello and you can barely find someone to ask a simple question sometime. They also rarely offer to "help" if you need to carry large items. Other than that, no complaints. Also, they do shots for pets! Affordable pricing but the hours are a bit short also they have pet adoptions too! Go check it out. :) read more

I love Pet Club! Their prices are good, and they seem to have a lot of products that you can't get at other pet stores. I took my dog Mochi to this location today to get her rabies shot. Every Sunday they have a low-cost vaccination clinic from 4:00pm-5:30pm. I paid $12.00 for the rabies shot, and it is good for 3 years, a much better deal than if I would have went to our regular vet. The vet that administered Mochi's shot was super nice too! Another thing I like about this store is that they have a pet I.D. tag machine. There are a few different tags to choose from, priced $5.99-$7.99, just make sure to purchase yours at the register first and then go to the machine. Got Mochi her bling-bling today too. read more

We've been to Pet Club quite a few times now and it hasn't disappointed yet. I first learned about it when I saw an ad in my mailbox. We've bought food, treats, toys, and a few other things for our pup. I love their $7.99 Red Barn Beef Bone! It keeps our pup entertained for weeks! I've price compared (with Amazon, Petco, & PetSmart) and quite a few times PetClub has been cheaper. The only thing that's annoying is that they only take cash or debit card (so no credit card points for me). read more

Pet stores can be hit or miss but my cats have had the same food for two years meow. Healthy adult dry food by Royal Cannin runs around $34 but they have it on sale sometimes for $27-29 so it's worth the look. Prices is comparable to other places but I like for those random finds & savings. Cat toys? Of course you have to spoil them. New things appear at home all the time, from a new scratch pad to "flying toys," this place has them. Employees are easy going. Helping when the question arises, and always giving treats to random dogs when the visit. Cat Adoption center towards the back! #adoptdontshop It is kitty season! Overall, a good place for your pet. This review is strictly towards Sarah. I go this facility at least twice a month. I went in asking for help with soft food for my chihuahua mix who recently had teeth pulled. I saw someone walking up with a basket of items to check out so I told Sarah to take care of her and please come help me when she's done. After a little while I went to check and the customer was gone and Sarah was on her cell phone. I had to ask her again for help. Long story short, she didn't help me in choosing the right, or any soft food (she basically said it should all be the same (when the soft food specifically says for small adult dogs, no specific type, or senior dogs). I asked her what was the difference between adult dog or senior or unlabeled). I told her how old my dog was and the hard food I gave her prior to having teeth pulled and asked her which one would be equivalent. She actually said anyone one of them and walked away. You could tell she had no idea and then said she had a customer and needed to go back to the register. My thoughts, they are labeled different for a reason. I would have appreciated it if she said, let me get someone who can answer your questions. I picked out some food hoping it's the correct choice. I proceeded to pay and asked for her name, she knew I wasn't happy with her service. Her response was "sorry I didn't really help you much, and my response was, no you didn't ". Bottom line, totally disappointed with the way she handled things. If you don't know or don't want to be bothered, ask someone who knows or cares. read more

I love this place and I dont mind taking a trip from Vallejo. We have 4 dogs that all eat different food so it started getting expensive. Pet club allows you to buy wholesale prices and save money. The prices are consistent and sometimes you can luck out and get big bags on a truckload deal where you get even more off. I try to stock up once I'm here because you can find brands that you cant find elsewhere or at least this cheap. I go straight for the clearance section when I come here because I love a bargain. Absolute savings! If you love to save a few dollars and yet not sacrificing quality for your furry family member. This is the place. I often buy my dogs kibbles here. Equivalent competitors would have a significant markup in comparison. Although it is a great place for dog supplies, I did find the place lacking dog clothes. There are quite a few, but nothing to my preference. The store return policy is great as well. They believe in keeping their customers happy. This PetClub is beautiful, clean and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I live closer to the Corte Madera Pet Club which is a filthy rat hole. I've shopped both stores and the Emeryville store. The Fairfield store is the winner by miles. I will be shopping there when ever I can and avoiding the Corte Madera store that is a literal and figurative rat hole. In comparison Fairfield's fish department was beautiful and bright. Corte Madera's had 1 tank where the fish were visible, the rest were too dirty to see the fish and full of dead fish. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Not friendly at all but is okay I'll support other local businesses before I ever step back in here. Wasted my time driving to Cordelia. For one that skinny white girl that's a cashier had a attitude acting like she couldn't answer questions. Didn't know where the dog clothes were smh. Then had the nerve to snatch the money out my hands while I'm trying to pay. While I was trying to look for smaller bills to pay with so I threw the money on the register and walked out with my items but besides that, the manager lupe just sat there looking at me with my items to where I had to ask what register is open. Most recent experience (07/30/23); apparently the staff is a bunch of kids that can't be inconvenienced with putting up a sign to notify customers that the vet clinic was canceled for the day. In fact, they kept up a sign stating the clinic is available every Sunday (which in this case it wasn't). It's bad enough you have a bunch of pet parents taking their fluffy loved ones across town in 90+ degree weather, to trek across the hot pavement to only ask a disgruntled kid if the clinic was in fact in operation that day. Best part was, not all of the staff was on the same page and I had to ask 3 team members to receive the correct information. Posting this in hopes that the leadership team will get the memo..to notify customers via email or at least a sign on the sign () or the door so we don't need to waste time talking to a kid who feels like we are asking them a basic question about THEIR facility. Do yourselves a favor and don't count on an unreliable business to provide a care plan for your fluff. See an established vet instead. read more

The folks here demonstrate a level of BAD customer service that I've never ever seen at a pet store before. Cold and unwelcoming to me and my pup. It's a pet store. You would think that pets were welcome here. My pup had a small accident (a little nugget of poop) and I was perfectly willing to clean it up myself and yet the employee I asked for cleaning supplies to seemed disgusted. Again, it's a pet store. Aren't you prepared for moments like this? This was at the cash register and I'm sorry for holding up the line but I'm not just gonna leave a nugget of poop there. Cash or debit only. Prices were decent which is why there are 2 stars. Sorry though- if you need a go-to pet store with friendly folks and other dogs, take your business elsewhere. read more

If you're looking for variety & quality, Pet Club is a great place to check out... 'And before I continue: CASH or DEBIT CARD ONLY - NO CREDIT CARDS (It's like WInCo but for animals.) Store Front - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/pet-club-fairfield?select=ux5DD3Hfp1XwxIdQq7ja4A#j6MBBokyTaR6aaq3JbdOOg Now, that the CASH ONLY thing is out of the way, moving forward... 'Overall, the prices are very good compared to the specialty/holistic niche shops, you can find a savings as low as 50 cents to as much as $6 compared to some of the local competitive shops. If you know what you're looking for & don't require a lot of help from the staff, you'll be fine. However, if you do... "Good luck!" (*See other yelp*views) The very first Pet Club that I came across was in Hayward... 'And I was pleasantly surprised @ the overall selection & quality. (I didn't think I'd find Taste of The Wild or Natural Balance LID... I was wrong.) After all, the simple, non-descript, Arial font, displaying "PET CLUB," on the front of the building doesn't exactly scream, "Shop here for all your pet supplies at great prices!" It's rather, dismissive in appearance... 'But don't let the plain facade fool you. It's because of this simplicity that Pet Club is able to keep overall costs down. (That, along with their no credit card policy.) As I browsed this particular location, I was disappointed to see the amount of items that were completely out or very low stock. Yes, they do have some great brands: Natural Balance; Wellness; EVO, etc., but the variety offered under these name brands was somewhat limited, low stock, or simply just empty shelf space. Natural Balance Lamb & Brown Rice - LID Photo - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/pet-club-fairfield?select=ux5DD3Hfp1XwxIdQq7ja4A#PBq8UIAGBuYrv1gOFqNvzw As several yelp*ers have mentioned, the service here could use a bit of refining. However, I do have to mention that I did receive assistance from one team member, Sean, who helped me locate "dog booties." (HAPA Boy's allergic to the local grass, long story...) However, some of the other workers seemed a tad less eager to offer any sort of help... Though, they did make eye contact as if to say, "You've sure gots a pur'dy mouth..." (I joke!... 'He wasn't looking @ my mouth.) I get it, it's hard to find good help nowadays. If Pet Club was to step up their customer service game, I'm sure business would greatly improve especially since they are not the only premium pet food game in town. If you're the sort of shopper that needs quite a bit of hand holding/attention, you'll be hard pressed to get that sort of treatment here. I was able to get some help from Sean but as I walked the store & passed several other employees, no one inquired if I needed assistance finding anything. (Noted.) I don't know everyone's story, it's hard to get work once you get paroled... 'BTW, nice ankle bracelet! (I'm just kidding... 'Those things are ugly!) 'And this just reaffirms my idea on people, "The more people I meet, the more I like my dog." So, after about an hour of browsing, checking out the store, and about $100 later, it was time to leave. If you care about the health & well being of your pets, one word of advice, if it is "Made in China," put it down, step away & be sure to wash your hands, twice... 'Most especially, when it's food or treats. Generally, if it's produced in the USA, Canada or Australia, chances are it's not going to kill your costumed chihuahua, "Tinkerbell." On that note, it's pretty damn hard to find disposable squeakies/chew toys NOT made in Asia. - Ahhh'loha! Food (Pet): 3+ (Limited selection; out/low stock) Ambiance: 3 Service: 3- Value: 4 read more
