I don't have any pets but come here often to see the pets and talk with the owner. Jesse is great and helps his customers with their dog shots, bird food, parrots and more. If you're in Boyle Heights you got to give this place a shot! read more

I hate doing this negative feedback but I did advise them in advance I would give them a try and not to let me down. Well they did. This is not a review on the cut as my maltese was very matted and expected a buzz cut. This is more on how my dog is acting two days after I left him at this grooming place. He has been in his doggy cave not feeling well. Something about his back legs that seems a bit odd but can't seem to pin pointed. My dog rarely spends time in his cave and is active and happy. So not sure what happened but he has never been like this when I take him to Korea town, just was cut for time and thought I'd give them a shot. I'll never bring him back. That is two grooming places in Boyle heights that I won't take him again. The other one is on soto and Cesar, they suck as well. 9-4-2019 update. My dog is showing signs of fear. As he is laying next to me, he has jumped a few times today when I tried petting him. 9-5-2019 update. My dog is now constantly sitting and refuses to walk. I called groomer but swore he did not manhandle my dog. Snoopy is showing all the classic signs of mistreatment and now signs of maybe a problem with his back legs or lower back. 9-7-2019 Update. Still showing signs of fear and something about his back legs that he only wants to sit. I did check his lower back to see if any pain, but no pain just strange that he here's toward his back legs. Never has he don't this before. I'll give it one more week and if no improvements, I'll take him into the vet. 9-10-2019 Update. Went to vet and they could not find any obvious signs of trauma. But my Snoopy is still hiding, acting weird, like he goes into a trance. He won't come when called. He is not the same from before taking to this groomer. I just realized that when I took him in, they were disinfecting the floors and I am wondering if he in ingested some toxins or something. We are coming up two weeks and he is not playful or nothing. Again he is. Not the same. I am so sad for him and angry of not knowing what happened to him at this groomer. read more

No longer will "soda - pop" be getting lined up, faded up, and groomed here. This was the first and the last time he came here. You guys did a terrible job at cutting our dog's hair! TERRIBLE JOB ! Poor dog looks like a straight tijuana dog that's selling chiklets and and bead bracelets. WTF?!!!! :/ read more

I have to give them as many stars as possible. Crazy selection of animals. Bunnies, birds, turtles, reptiles, puppies, etc... the owner is very nice. Last time I was there he gave me 2 free cans of high end Kitty food just to test it:) I like how they have a Kitty and sometimes parrots just hanging out around the store. , read more

The owner/worker was extremely rude. I arrived 15 minutes before closing and told him exactly what I needed, and his response was " No we are closed, come back tomorrow " , closed the door in my face. Would never come back to this store there is plenty of other pet shops with better customer service. read more

Honestly the only place I trust to cut my dogs hair. I mostly go Saturday early in the morning and drop off my dog for his shower and haircut. I come back and the owner or whoever takes care of him tells me that he was a well behaved dog and so on. Really love this place! read more

As I was walking by this pet store, I heard a dog yelping in way a dog shouldn't unless they are caught in something or are hurt. Since this place grooms dog (I hope they dont board them!). I walked in to find NO ONE in the store. I called out "hello" and checked on the dogs in the back area to make sure they were ok. A guy walks in a starts being very rude and nasty as I said I heard one of the dogs in distress. He started making fun of me saying the only person causing noise was ME. Well excuse the F out of me if I showed concern! I wanted to punch this guy so hard. Decided to walk out with my dignity and write a yelp review and report him for animal neglect! I wouldn't trust this place with my animal! VERY RUDE SERVICE! read more

This is my official groomer for my dog, have been coming here for years. Great service, really great haircut. The price is decent considering what is done for it . I used to go to so many places before and my dog always left traumatized , hurt , or her haircut just wasn't cute looking. Fav place here Will always be comfortable leaving my dog in good hands read more

Went in here with my wife yesterday... Guy in charge was rude, music was blasting, couldn't ever hear what he was saying. When he decided to lower his music down, first thing he said is "look with your eyes, and don't touch" like I'm a 5 year old... Nope not again... read more

Friendly staff! When I bought a bully stick for my dog, they gave me another one for free.

The owner always hooks me up with deals...been a customer for years...

I love this place! I go as often as I can. They're not like most pet stores where they sell stuff like hamsters, guinea pigs, fish, and birds and that's it; they have snakes and lizards and frogs and spiders as well! Even though right now is kind of the off season for most reptiles and other animals because of the cold, they still have a pretty good selection with more animals coming in all of the time! I already own 3 rats, a bearded dragon, a fire belly toad, and a scorpion from here and they're all perfectly healthy and doing beautifully. I can't wait till February when they're going to be getting all of the new babies and the whole place is filled. read more

Man just for taking my dog here trying to save a little bit of cash on the side (which i very much regret) after picking up my dog everything seemed normal at first then i noticed he had cuts on his ears and took him to the vet and they said he had an ear infection caused by the cuts. So instead i had to pay $400 to cure my dog im never ever going back to this place again NEVER! read more

Went yesterday to take my little puggy for a bath, she came out looking happier than ever!

I came to this store for the first time about a week ago with my gf, and i was blown away with the diversity of birds they had. I felt guilty seeing the beautiful red and green macaws, hyacinth (All blue) macaws and other exotic birds caged up. Although they had nice birds, some reptiles and plenty of fish. The maintenance of the animals was very low. I saw just one guy taking care of the animals, and it seems like he's the only one doing so. I saw many dead fish/dying fish, snakes mixed with lizards in the same tank, dirty and small bird cages. I give it a 3 for the bountiful of birds and fish, but it's just a sad thing to view when the rare exotic birds are caged up and the animals look like they are sad ass hell. read more

I went to this pet store looking for low-cost birdseed and I found it. They make their own seed mixes here for about $5 per 3 lb. bag. They are CASH ONLY and very old-school LA (it's been here since 1985). It's crammed with stuff to within an inch, and barely room to move around the aisles but the owner is super helpful and friendly. They have tons of macaws here (including an extremely rare blue macaw-- like the one in Rio), as well as lots of reptiles, fish, and other birds. Not sure of their prices for the animals since I'm not an expert, but they have inexpensive nesting boxes and perches as well. They offer grooming services and medications as well as low-cost vaccination, micro-chip implants, spaying, and travel health certificates by a licensed veterinarian. They're open 7 days a week and have 2 additional locations in East LA (90033 and 90023). I'm glad this place exists to make pet-owning a little bit more affordable. Thank you, Pet Care, Inc. read more

Was going here for the past couple of years. Great selection of birds and animals. Always found Jesse the guy there to be real friendly and helpful. Went there last week - was under new management. New guy seemed friendly, but just had some parakeets for sale and nothing else. Hope he will be able to have more for sale than parakeets and some food. read more
