Great service and the food was good. Enjoyed the red snapper and will visit again when I'm back in town.

I want to give a cool shoutout to Amara for pointing me towards the seafood salad ( you were absolutely right Amara the seafood salad was delicious !! ) Now when it comes to the Creole Salmon ( stuffed ) this is a can't miss dish... and adding the Mac & cheese with cabbage as complementary side dishes, took the platter to another level ( so bomb.com !! ) This particular Carolina Kitchen brings its own vibe to the table... The restaurant is beautiful and definitely an establishment where you can dine in for special occasions. I'm still making my way through their out of this world Menu... so, stay tuned because there are more reviews to come. In conclusion I want to thank the two young women ( Host ) Ashley and Wendu for doing an awesome job with each customer and making sure I had everything I needed before leaving the restaurant ( Thank You !! )

First time dying in for the full experience, it was pretty slow service and the place wasn't busy there was confusion on who would be the server for the table Once food was ordered everything was smooth, but the flavors and quality were not satisfying. In addition to the Mac & cheese tasting like AN ENTIRE STICK OF BUTTER !!! Never again I was extremely hoping that the fried fish would be amazing, but I left very disappointed after traveling 30 minutes

The name is deceptive. There are so many lunches and dinners to choose from here that are not…read moreseafood, in addition to the abundance of seafood. It's a fact: Mid-Atlantic Seafood can be easily overlooked for non-seafood options, ie where else in the area - or anywhere close ie New Carrolton, Landover Hills, Lanham, Seabrook, Glendale and Greenbelt - can you find at least 8 types of cake slices, 6 cheesecake flavors and 6 pies? The answer is nowhere unless you are at a grocery store or a bakery. I'll go over the types of desserts later. Any entree that comes with sides will give you 30 choices. Which of the 30 sides will you choose?! With so many dining options to choose from, do yourself a favor: flip-thru all of the menu options at the tiny menu monitor to the left of the dessert case before deciding what to eat because out of the 9 gigantic, rotating monitor menus, I didn't as easily see half of what they actually offer. Just go to the small monitor and read about all of the appetizers, salads, entrees and deserts efficiently. Alternatively, visit https://mid-atlanticseafood.com/new-carrollton/ on your phone. Seriously: aside from all of the seafood on the large monitors, you can get turkey, homemade meatloaf, barbecue chicken and ribs. As for the 30 sides to choose from, some are macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and French fries. We loved the mac-n-cheese. And the cheesy potatoes look overly rich but they are not. Really enjoyed those, too. These are classic potatoes au gratin with a bit of extra cheese and a lot of flavor. They also serve diverse varieties of other sides, including lo mein, white rice and cornbread. Not to mention the grilled vegetables, green beans, cheesy broccoli, corn and other options on the massive and never-ending steam table. On the 9 main video screens, you can get more than 7 kinds of fish and choose if you want it fried, baked or grilled. We wanted ours' baked. The waiter recommended to have it grilled because it would take less time and be more tender. We didn't listen to his advice, but he was right. Our baked fish was ok but we would love to come back and taste it grilled. The variety of fish offered is impressive, from ocean perch to salmon to tilapia to flounder to grouper to mahi mahi to whiting. You can also order crabs, snow crab legs and shrimp. Also want to try the stuffed shrimp here. When it says, "stuffed," that means with crabmeat. They have a garlic butter seafood boil here with crab legs, spiced shrimp, andouille chicken sausage, corn, etc. Meow. The chicken comes 4 ways: barbecued, fried or baked and as chicken wings. They have 3 types of pork chops: grilled, fried and smothered with gravy. Their entrees come with a choice of white bread, wheat bread, a potato roll or a slice of cornbread for an upcharge of $1.00. I didn't taste the cornbread on this visit but I'd like to, next time. One team member passionately said it was really good. We tried the mango slaw and it was good but not sweet. I heard the regular cole slaw is even better, so I would like to try that because I'm guessing it's as good as all the rest of their food we tried. I would also like to try the crab fried deviled eggs and the Cajun steamed mussels. Not to mention a lot of other dishes there! And now back to the cakes. They have so many desserts to choose from. I mean: multiple flavors of cakes, cheesecakes, pies, etc. They even have Smith Island cakes, which are a thinly-layered and stacked legendary Chesapeake Bay tradition. The current flavors are chocolate, red velvet and coconut at time of writing. We enjoyed our lemon short cake, the lemon berry marscapone cake and the mixed berry shortcake. Six different flavors of cheesecake, anyone? I'll next try the sweet potato and cinnamon cheesecake, please. They also have 6 kinds of pies including pecan, key lime and cookies and cream. The design of Mid-Atlantic Seafood is understated, clean and simple: counter service, a cold case of desserts and salads, a series of long steam table ms and a small eat-in dining area for maybe 20 people. The restrooms: clean and regularly checked. The staff are all helpful and busy. Good people serving good food! Do consider this a cafeteria, specializing in seafood with an out-of-this-world bakery.

My lunch was delicious but the smoothie wasn't as good. It was a sholet period of time from when I placed the order online un the t I went to pick my order up and the smoothie was watery. It shouldn't have been that watery and they used too much blueberry mix because it should have been more thicker than what it was. I was disappointed and it did taste like blueberries more like a sweet mixture of everything else but blueberries. I was not happy with paying almost 10 bucks for a watery smoothie!!! I started to go back and say something but I figured I would be met with resistance. Just won't order it again online maybe in person?

I hate to do it but this place was bad and sad :( Came here…read moreon a Sunday evening to get some typical Football Sunday food like wings and fries. From the time we walked in, my friend and I had a feeling it was going to be a no-go but still gave them a shot. Two people were waiting for their food as the TV was blasting the news, so as we waited at the counter to be helped, no 1 came. We see the cook who also sees us and still no one was called up. About 5 mins later, a guy takes our order for 3 whole wings & rice and 6 party wings w/fries and dessert. With no choice but to watch the news and miss some of the game, our food was ready about 15 mins later. I wish we opened it right there because to my surprise, huge feathers were still on the whole wings. Yes, they can be pulled off but I was grossed out to see this. Then my friends party wings were undercooked. They had to be put back in the oven and the fries were just blah. The cumin rice was decent and the strawberry cake cheesecake looked better then it tasted. My friend later had the bean pie and said it was just ok. We won't be returning and it's unfortunate because this place could be packed with their vast menu, better customer service and more appealing tv options to watch while waiting [like football on a Sunday].
