I got two orders of BOGO of the Chicken Bowl-black beans & white rice, sour cream, avocado slices, pico de gallo, lettuce and lots of seasoned Peruvian Chicken! You get a bowl and it equals 2 servings!. The Bowls are very packed, filling and seasoned al through comes with 2 sauces each the green is spicy!. O M G the food is spectacular. I got the lomo saltado and it's probably the best lomo saltado I've ever had. The food came out pretty quickly, about 5-10 mins. The seating area is great. I recommend this place if you're having a lunch or dinner anytime soon! read more

I have always seen this place but never thought to try it. Had a craving for some lomo saltado, they had it on the menu, so why not. Ordered two; one for me and one for the him. It takes ten minutes to make, so I went to grab something from the grocery store next door. It looked like it was a fairly nice potion for the price point, which is less than other restaurants. I noticed that there were smaller pieces of beef and not as many veggies. Also, the French fries were definitely of the frozen ore ida variety. All in all it was okay in a pinch, I didn't mind it. The rice had a great flavor, the beef had a nice flavor too, but needed to be cooked more. The fries were an afterthought. I wish they put in more veggies. The hubs said it was a no go for him... Peru's Chicken gives such big portions of authentic food! Everything was deliciously seasoned. I literally couldn't decide what to get so I got 3 things that normally don't go together. I wanted the salad to be healthy, the rice because it's just filled with deliciousness and the yucca because it's not quite a fry but it has such a nice little crisp to it! I don't normally sit down in the restaurant - but I did Uber eats and had a delivered to my house and just enjoyed it. The few times I did go in the restaurant everyone was very nice - I had their veggies before too and they're really good I took them to a Christmas party once before. I love the lomo sataldo here. Its always hot a fresh. The crinkle cut fries incorporated in the dish could use an upgrade.

On my last (and final) visit to Peru's, the person at the register was FLOSSING HIS TEETH when I walked in. He then proceeded to serve the food without washing his hands. That was enough to turn me all the way off. Flossing your teeth around food and then serving food without washing your hands (the hands that were just in your mouth) is a no-no for me. read more

The Asian cashier was rude, unprofessional and racist to my son who explained that he was picking up an order that was already paid for through Uber eats. Found this place on Upside. Very much a carry out though you can sit inside and eat. Nice Spanish speaking staff. I got a half chicken and you get two sides so I got the green beans and the creamed spinach. Chicken decently priced and you get a big juicy piece. Oooo it's seasoned well but not as good as my fave Peruvian place "chicken and whiskey". I got the yellow sauce and it's nasty. Don't mess with that sauce. Got a coupon for 10% in a Money Mailer, and since I love Peruvian chicken done right, decided to take a chance. I was NOT disappointed! We ordered two Pollo Parrilero, one with green beans and fried rice, the other with green beans and black beans. Dessert was a large fried plantains. Every item was prepared perfectly! The chicken was fully cooked, but still tender and moist; the rice was done well, green beans were cooked and just the other side of crisp, exactly as they should be, and the black beans (a personal favorite side of mine), were cooked perfectly, neither under-done, nor over, and not mushy in the slightest, yet with the subtle spicing that makes it so addicting for me. The place was hopping with customers, and yet I got served with out feeling like I was an intrusion, or just another face. Will I go back? Oh yeah! I stumbled on this restaurant after going to my local UPS and it's in the same shopping center. My red flag should have been when there was not one single customer was in the entire place during lunch time. This was ghost town, unfortunately because of this I was completely unimpressed with my food. While the food was warm, my charbroiled chicken and sides were super dry and taste like it was days old. We got 1/2 chicken combo with green beans and fried rice as our combo... I love Peruvian chicken. I used to be loyal customer to Crispy Chicken and Sardis butttt damn Peru's Chicken has taken over. Their chicken is 10x more flavorful and better. Our chicken was tender and juicy. The chicken had a thick baked in rub that made my tummy happy. Rice was good and tasty. Greens were tasty. Buckle your seat for this one. I went inside to pickup an online order. I showed my online order code and name with ID to further confirm. Mind you, a (pickup) online order that was already placed. (Meaning already paid for.) My order was ready for pickup. I just need to pick it up. How hard is it to pass me my order of bags that are literally behind you? This order was $97-$100 of food. (Meaning you can't miss me and my order that's taking up the counters behind the register. Again, I showed my order code and ID and the older Asian man with a salt and pepper goatee ignored my presence and did not want to hand me my order... so my wife spoke up and said "hey, our order is right there behind you, how hard is it to hand us our food?" Another man had to come from the back of the store to see what's the problem and asked us what's the name of the order and I told him and he handed us our order. See, it was that easy and simple. :) To top off all of the disrespect my wife and I received today, 10/19/24. The rude man asked me when I showed him our online order code that was paid for and ready to be picked up, mind you... and he said "well how do I know you even paid for this?" My guy, I'm showing you my ID AND ORDER CODE WITH MY NAME duhhh. Just give me my damn (BAGS) of food! He even put another customer before us that was in line after us who placed his order in store. Pros: Clean, great menu choices, friendly service and very good food. Cons: None. First time here, my wife I stopped in on our way home from a crummy wedding. We ordered, a Chicken Breast to share , the Red Beans, Rice, Plantains, Cole Slaw and Corn on the Cob. First, the resteraunt was exceptionally clean, the staff was friendly and a great menu selection and they give you large portions. The Chicken was cooked perfectly, flavorful and moist. The red beans were also very good along with the rice.The plantains were very very sweet. The Cole Slaw was the bomb, just the way we like it, creamy and sweet and the corn on the cob was cooked perfect, crunchyvand sweet. The customer service is absolutely appalling and disgusting! Me and my husband always spend a lot of money ordering at Peru's Chicken but we won't be ever again. The cashier which was an older Asian man with facial hair ignored my husband when he was showing him our order which we placed on Uber Eats for pickup which was rude and disrespectful. I spoke up loudly and had to address that we are picking up an order to the rude cashier. All the cashier had to do was hand us our order that we already paid for through Uber Eats but instead we were accused of not paying for our food and another customer was put before us when we were already in line before them! That is outrageous and disgusting. The manager had to come out and asked us what order we are picking up, my husband showed him our order and the manager had no issue giving us our already paid for food. Me and my husband were openly humiliated and accused of not paying for food we ordered through Uber Eats even when we showed a confirmation of that we did pay and our order was ready for pickup. Yet the Asian man cashier didn't give the Caucasian women picking up her order any issues and was practically kissing the floor for her. If you love Peruvian chicken like I do and you live in the DC area, then you're a huge fan of Sardis. I know it's nearly blasphemous to think about comparing another Peruvian chicken joint to Sardis. Well, that is exactly what I'm doing! I've been to Peru's Chicken enough times to say, if you aren't near Sardis or you don't feel like waiting in Sardis ridiculous line, then come to Peru's Chicken. The chicken which is their bread and butter is AWESOME. Juicy, an abundance of spices and cooked perfectly every time. The sides are also comparable to my beloved Sardis. My favorite is the seasoned string beans. I usually get a double order since two sides are included. I've had the lamb chops and the 12oz Ribeye, let's just say my mouth is watering thinking about them.. Smh! I was able to observe how clean it was because it was not crowded at all. The reason why I'm giving this place 5 stars is for all the reasons previously mentioned, but primarily because I got this meal for $8.75 with tax and that is unheard of in this area. We were looking for a place to grab some late lunch after visiting Watkins Regional Park and decided to give Peru's Chicken a shot. What a great hidden gem! This is a fast-casual spot with ample seating that is clean and new-ish feeling. Service was super friendly. My husband and I decided to each get 1/4 chicken with two sides ($8 each) and share them with our girls (neither of whom are big eaters). We each got sweet plantains (yummm), and he got rice & beans while I got the fried rice. Nothing exceptional about those, but the chicken was really good. Not the juiciest Peruvian chicken I've had, but very good flavor nonetheless. My 4 year old, who is a reluctant carnivore, declared "YUMMY!" when she tried it. Try the complimentary sauces with the chicken -- the white, creamy sauce is more mild, and the green one has a hot kick to it. There are also complimentary refills on fountain drinks - wooo! For under $20, we came away completely full (late lunch is going to keep us full past dinner!) and satisfied. Would definitely return. read more
