I've been to plenty Peruvian chicken places but this one blows them all away. The flavor of the chicken is unmatched! I paid more for less quality and quantity! I'm totally satisfied and would come back over and over again! The chicken was great and the sides were equally great! read more

Food is pretty close to what you'll find in Lima! It looks like a fast food place, but it's worth it! read more

I have ordered from this place (in person) for several years without any problems. Today, I used a food delivery service and it makes me question ever going back. I ordered the fried tilapia and it was old, greasy and burnt- totally inedible- not sure why they would even serve this? The shrimp quesadillas were tasty, but very greasy. The salad, beans and fried rice were good. However, I probably will not order from here again. read more

I love this place so much. his is my first time placing a carryout order from this place and it was so delicious. I really like the white garlic sauce so much, their chicken was so soft juicy and yummy, the rice was perfect and their coleslaw was outta this work, i was not so much on the fries. The asian girl who works in there was nice. I wish if they had included more of spicy green sauce, next time i will ask for extra. read more

Ya' know in some neighborhoods these places are poppin' up on every street corner like liquor stores. So. I'm choicey. The place is clean and appears to be well ran. The restaurant seating is comfortable and I would definitely eat in with no hesitation. They have a few tv's its pretty nice for a carry and go spot. I had the quarter white meat, cilantro white rice with pinto beans, and the mixed vegetables. The sides were great veggies already buttered with a little salt, I didn't have to add a thing. The pinto beans and rice were good, no meat added to the pinto beans for you vegetarians or Meatless Monday Enthusiast. The chicken itself was just average in flavor and in juiciness. Maybe because it was Monday, but my chicken looked a little lonesome and neglected. After seeing the reviews, it appears that their more popular dishes aren't even the chicken; but that kinda sucks when your name is Peru's Chicken. I will try back again to maybe do the lamb chops, but with so many of these places to choose from, the chicken could get a whole lot better. Now the good thing is people in this area have a few more options and do not have to just settle for just fast food. Hopefully there's more to come! read more

Solid 4 stars.. BUT.. Like one of my fellow yelpers claimed, Sardi's is still king. Peru's chicken was seasoned well but slightly dry. We got the white rice with black beans, which was tasty and different, cause the rice was cooked/prepared with pieces of chopped cilantro. The plantains were greasy, but ripe and fresh. The green sauce comes in very small containers, but packs big kick in spice and flavor. Bottomline: if you're in the area, try this place!!...but keep in mind that Sardi's is tough act to follow. read more

Great customer service and the rotisserie is packed with such a bold taste you'll be hooked. My favorite is the green beans and fried rice which I absolutely love. read more

Very good food. Just be careful when ordering from online - several applications have a a different price. For some reason when I went to order online, Google took my order and I was charged three dollars more for the order. I did mention to the manager, and I understood that there was nothing he could do. I just wanted to let everyone else know about this. read more

Limo Saltado real good full of flavor. Buddies had rotisserie chicken they booth said it was fantastic. Definitely another visit when I'm in the area read more

I've only been one time and went right after they opened and the food was good. You can smell the grill as you are in the parking lot (that's a good thing lol). Most Peruvian places I get the half chicken but this time I decided to get the steak (Lomo Saltado). There's plenty of seating inside and the people are very friendly. Also, the bathroom was really clean, double plus! I will definitely come again. read more

I was absolutely shocked of how tasted the lamb chops are and tender.sooo good please keep up the consistency.

I most say even thought the owners have merge with co-owners. The exceptional authentic flavor and customer service still as great these past 3 years. Thank you Peru's Chicken read more

Generally average food for the price. Still didn't have sit down available as of a month ago. Wish there was fried potatoes in addition to plantains. Green beans were mixed with onions. read more

The chicken is delicious. Love the white and yellow sauces. Wish I could buy it in the store. The sides are good too: green beans, rice, potatoes, vegetables. THE CAKE IS EVERYTHING!! The red velvet, the sweet potato cake, and the rum cake are the best ever. Wish I knew who baked them. read more

So they must have read our reviews. Tonight I was sick so decided to try this place one more time. I ordered a half of a chicken and was delightfully surprised when I tasted it. The green sauce was even better, so I will definitely be going back. read more

Location receiving 4 stars because the food was delish, however it was not amazing. Large portions, good service & covid friendly.

It's mostly a carry out restaurant. The chicken is delicious. I like that they have many sides as options to French fries for the kids. I had a burrito and it was very good. Would eat here again. read more

This was my first time going to Peru's Chicken. The reason why I gave it a shot was due to the good reviews. I got the quarter white with fried rice and string beans. The food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend you visit!!!! read more

Very fIavorful food, but with the help of food flavoring additives. Food taste better in its natural state.

I'm starting to worry that one of my favorite places to eat has fallen off. Our dining options are always so limited in this area to start. Let me explain. I LOVED the food here. The service is what it is, efficient. Never rude but not warm either. I can accept that. However, back to the food. The past few times I've ordered I've had a problem. While I eat their chicken and sides occasionally- they too are very good; I come here for the lamb chops and occasionally the short ribs. I like the way it's prepared -they're own unique way. The last two orders of lamb chops in addition to being smaller, were undercooked or overcooked- by a lot and I only like mine just beyond medium. I put them in the air fryer the time they were undercooked and they were perfect. I tossed them to my dog the day the were over cooked. However, My short ribs almost made me cry y'all. They're usually relatively thick whole pieces cut lengthwise across the ribs and superbly tender. What I got last time were thin broken pieces of slightly chewy meat and a lot of bone. My man looked at me and sighed- knowing I was upset and he would be sharing his food. My sides are always good and I've even grown to appreciate the flavor contrast of a little char on my plantains. My rice and beans and green beans are always plentiful and have saved the meal when necessary but I don't spend approx $25 a plate for sides. Two of these occasions I ordered through door dash. So understand my frustration when I say my meal gets much more expensive- only to be disappointed. I give chances because every person and place has bad days but, it's starting to add up to expensive but unsatisfying meals- on my end. I will go back to picking up my orders myself so that I can at least eliminate those variables. However- I am genuinely hoping they were just bad days. I've had enough good experiences to give them another try but I too appreciate getting my moneys value. read more

We had a really good lunch here on Easter Sunday. The rotisserie chicken was super good and the green beans were excellent. The fries and chicken kabob also got really good reviews from my kids. The pollo chicharrones were only "pretty good" according to my 17 year old. The service was very friendly and the restaurant cleanliness was excellent. read more

I noticed this place when getting food from another place in Mitchellville plaza. I was really hoping that it would be better than the other Peruvian food spots we have in this area. The restaurant is very clean. Plenty of seating and space for customers to sit and eat. We got our good to go, and waited for about 20 minutes. I thought it would be longer because of what ordered. I decided to get something other than chicken. I had the lamb chops with black beans/cilantro rice and green beans. The sides were good. No better or worse than the others. But the lamb chops were AMAZING!! Tender and perfectly cooked. They also have those amazing sauces to compliment your meals. I gotta say, their Mild sauce is the best I've had at another other Peruvian restaurant. My girlfriend got the chicken and shrimp fajitas. She loved it. She didn't even have leftovers!! The food was so good that i considered going back the next day for more lamb chops lol! I'll definitely be back! read more

The first time eatingvhear, first inclination is to compare to Sardi's. In that case it is very comparable. The food is well seasoned with the flavor permeating the meat and the sides were plentiful and good. Portions are more than appropriate for the cost. The restaurant is comfortable and clean. Staff was nice and helpful. read more

Very good food. Clean restaurant. Customer service could use some improvement. Sometimes the food can be great but customers are lost because the atmosphere isn't welcoming. Line workers on their phones, no greetings. read more

Traditional fare but the sides, like the plantains looked like they were prepared earlier in the day....a little sad. I ordered the chicken, black beans over rice, plantains with extra green sauce and I ordered it in the evening around 6pm. Having said that you can't really do much of anything bad to plantains in my book. Don't get me wrong the food is good but it could be fresher. read more

Great chicken lotss of options for sides..great lunch. I asked if the ceviche was made from fresh fish.. it's from frozen that's why I went with four stars. Overall good though read more

Best place to eat here hands down. Service is friendly. Food was amazing. Chicken is what they do best, juicy and full of flavor. Sides were awesome too. I could make a meal out of the green beans alone. read more

Pretty tasty. They have similar items to Sardis but a different flair. If you don't like the exorbitant flavor of Sardi's but still would like to eat some Peruvian style food, then this is your place. It's really all about preference and how much seasoning you like on your chicken. The inside of the restaurant is nice. I ate inside which I rarely do at these types of spots. But I enjoyed myself; I ate and watched TV. Definitely more quiet than Sardis which is a plus when dining in. read more

Best Peruvian food hands down! I've tried them All! Sardi's, Limas...This place here tho! Their lamb chops are my favorite but the chicken is bomb too. And the sides are soooo good! People talk about Sardi's and one night my hubby and I got food from both places to make sure we weren't tripping when we say Perus Chicken is waaaaay better. And it was!! Enjoy! read more

I went to Peru's Chicken recently for lunch with a co-worker. I had noticed this business before but had never ventured inside. I ordered the shrimp burrito, which included a generous amount of shrimp plus rice and black beans. Fries came with the burrito. I like that the burrito was cut in half, because I had to eat the other half for dinner. It was that BIG--and delicioius. My co-worker ordered the fish tacos, which came with nuggets of fried tilapia, shredded cabbage and other veggies, plus slices of fresh avocado. It was a lovely presentation. I went back the next day and ordered the fish tacos, which my coworker had ordered the day before. Noticeably absent were the slices of fresh avocado, which I specifically ordered (they provide a choice of sliced avocado or a sauce). I was disappointed (hence 4 stars instead of 5). I will continue to go to Peru's Chicken, but I'll be more vocal anything missing the next time. read more

I'll continue to drive all the way out to Upper Marlboro just to eat this Peruvian chicken with the mysterious "yellow sauce".... I really wish someone would tell me the ingredients in their sauce- they rarely share this information. In my impatient wait, I simply request for that delicious yellow sauce as it's great to dip the chicken into as I'm devouring it not giving a care to indigestion & heart burn. It's simply worth it. read more

One word: DELICIOUS!!! The food tastes more homemade. It's fresh and flavorful! The white garlic sauce surprised me (sooo good). I've ordered the fried tilapia fillet twice and I was not disappointed either Times. I highly recommend! read more

So here's the thing.... Peru's chicken is decent. I went in thinking it was going to be like Sardi's but it isn't. I ordered 1/4 chicken white meat with white rice and green beans. The green beans were pretty good but they weren't really "healthy" ... staff was pretty friendly and patient as it was my first time in their establishment. Will I go back? - yes. It wasn't disappointing, I just compared it to Sardi's and the taste is quite different. Feel free go give it a try. read more

I was so hungry I devoured my meal and forgot to take a picture! They give generous portions of food and it's all bomb dot com! I will be returning to try everything else on their menu! read more

Chicken was good. Nothing different from other Peruvian restaurants. Plantains were a bit harder than I would've liked but sweet nonetheless. The yuca and sauce combo is to die for. Only thing I wasn't too happy with was that we did call our order in ahead of time and we showed up even later than the time they told us and our food still wasn't packed, that was a bit frustrating but I'll probably be back one day, if I'm ever in the area read more

The food is not bad. I don't get an instant headache eating this as I have with other peruvian chicken spots. The other thing that stands out to me is that they're not the most pleasant. Not sure if it's a language barrier or coldness is, but the guy taking the orders should do more than just stare. Being nice goes a long way... and makes customers return. I'll think twice about a 3rd visit. read more

From reading other reviews I was undecided to get the chicken, I love Sardis so I do compare other rotisserie chicken places to them lol so I didn't want to possibly be disappointed so I got something else. So I just go the lamb & OMG! It was tender and paired amazing with the "white & mild" sauces. I got vegetables and plantains. I'm definitely going back. read more

The food here is amazingly delicious. My husband and I have come here 2 days in a row, within the past week. We will be back.

Two stars for cleanliness in the waiting area. Unimpressed. The food was lacking flavor, rice was over cooked. Visited this place before and walked out both times. I just didn't want drive farther down the road so I opted for this place instead. Should have trusted my first two instincts. read more
