We have been here for breakfast 2-3 times a year for 8-10 years. The service was slow ( Angie was new) but the place was not that busy. Fish cakes were ok, but the cornbread came out cold and the monte cristo was just bad. We ate at the Percy's in middleboro yesterday and it was probably a 3. It's a shame as we always looked forward to having vacation breakfast here. I think it's time to try somewhere new. read more

Just had my last visit to Persy's (any location, they all are the same). Don't let the huge menu make you think it's a good restaurant. There is no quality control and cooks quite obviously aren't trained because they haven't even mastered the art of an egg or a pancake yet. I ordered poached eggs that came totally raw, the hash was a miniscule portion of grease, the homefries were drenched in salt and the pancakes are always heavy as lead and rubbery. Here's a tip, check both sides of your pancake and the bottom pancake before eating. All sorts of debris is dribbled on grill and now in your pancake. (you'd think 1 section of grill would be designated for pancakes only, and how can you not make a decent pancake?) Last time they had black drizzle on them, today they had green specks in them. Also, the plates and silverware were filthy. Not so sure plates had been washed before previous diner, covered in grease around edge-maybe they were out of hot water. The silverware had filth on them, I asked for new set which was equally as bad. Had to gamble on one set, yuck! Recommend you ask for cup of hot water to sterilize utensils prior to use. And yes, the service was horrible. When asked how everything was, I obviously wasn't thrilled but waitress just walked away. Then when leaving check at table, never even crossed her mind to say thankyou. The problem with this place is lack of management. For some reason, Persy's don't think a dining room or kitchen manager is necessary. Just attitude driven high school girls. Absolutely horrible stopped there yesterday , waited 25 mins before they even came over to get us coffee, and that was after we had to ask, then ordered ,homefries were cold and tasted sour, pancakes were hard ,eggs over cooked , needless to say we will not be back or recommending this place to anyone read more

Went to this place last about 3 weeks ago when we had no other place to go to. Last time I went there I had a horrible experience and also saw that the health department fined them after that. So needless to say we were avoiding this place. When we walked in we were greatest by a beautiful smile and attended to by a woman named Kacey. She immediately sat us and gave us some coffee. We browsed the menu and I decided to go with the Yankee special with French toast. My wife got a eggs Benedict and our kids got chocolate pancakes and scrambled eggs. The Yankee special was delicious and the French toast was perfect. My wife really enjoyed her eggs Benedict and ate ever last bite. My wife and I also got home fries with our meals and were very impressed by the homefriesm. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, we actually ordered more to go but this time we opted for the upgraded version capped the loaded home fries which had bacon, cheese, and sour cream was also delicious. My kids enjoyed their scrambled eggs, and the pancakes were absolutely loaded with chocolate chips which made the kids very happy. On the way out we noticed a little stand with stuffed animals. We ended up buying our kids paw patrol stuffed animals, which I thought was cool that they had that(perfect way to reward your child, if they behave that is haha) Overall we had a great experience and will definitely be back and suggest this place to all friends and family! 5 out of 5 read more

Don't know why there are so many negative reviews on here but have been to almost all the Persy's and like the others this one was great! Got a egg bacon and cheese bagel sandwich that was delicious and my husband got the Portugese scrambler that was delicious also. Service was quick even for a busy Sunday morning. If you go, sit at the bar (if you are lucky). The tiny wooden booths and tables are extremely uncomfortable. The baked beans are yuk! The remainder of the menu is okay, slightly bland and boring. Have been here many many times and it was always great. Went today and was absolutely disgusted. Ordered the hash and was mortified to find a large screw in the middle of the hash... Discovered after eating about half th e order. The waitress was extreme,y apologetic and helpful... It was not her fault at all. The cooks had no idea how it got there... It is unacceptable that that happened, dangerous and disgusting, our meal was comped and we were given a thousand apologies...regardless I will not be returning. I visited this restuarant recently and had such a great experience . we were greated as soon as we walked in and seated right away. The coffee was just right and hot. I ordered the western omelete with homefries and cornbread thats right ... cornbread not your average toast at any average breakfast joint. the food was delicious. the waitress was very friendly and provided excellent service. Our experience was the opposite of other reviewers. Our party of 5 stopped there this morning as we were heading out after a week's stay in Onset. We waited 30 minutes for our table. Finally we were led to our seats and noticed lots of empty, dirty tables. Another 10 minutes went by before someone offered us coffee and juice. Finally, we placed our order and waited another 35 minutes for food to arrive to the table. My French Toast appeared to be day old- I touched it and it was cold. My scrambled eggs tasted old, wet and flavorless. My table mates also had ice cold food. One person ordered fruit and yogurt and she was the only one in the party that ate breakfast. Our waitress was apologetic and did not bill us for anything, the untouched food as well as our coffee, juice, and the one yogurt/granola meal. She also gave us 5 muffins to go so that we would have something to munch on. I remember the Kingston restaurant as a unique, Cape Cod style breakfast stop with Hash, Cod Cakes and Baked Beans. This food appears to be pre-made at least a day in advance and microwaved. We all decided (our age range is 21-57) that this was our worst "food" experience ever. read more

I was here a few weeks ago. Had the best cup of coffee I'd had in a long time. Excellent food and excellent service. I had the Double Stacker Burger. Delicious, good and yummy, and the marinated mushrooms were a nice side. Great atmosphere! A real pick me up for these winter blues. They had the whole gift area 50% off. Downloaded Yelp just to write a review about how bad Percy's is. I got an eggs Bennie and a side of hash. The hash is supposed to be "World Famous 6 hour hash" when in reality you're paying 5$ for half of a two dollar can of meat you can buy at Shaw's. The potatoes they used in the home fries were cooked in what I'm guessing is their microwave? It was slightly warm and tasted like I literally just bit into an uncooked potato. The eggs were basically hardboiled on top of the Benedict and I asked for over easy. The price was also insane for the amount of food you didn't get. And the quality was horrible. Even the ham tasted bad. But the hollandaise sauce was good. All in all this place sucks. I do not recommend. Go to Leo's down the street, much better food and pricing. This will be the last time I ever go to Percy's read more

This particular restaurant was terrible!! Percys Place is a locally owned restaurant with several locations throughout the area. We absolutely love the one in Mashpee and Plymouth, but NOT the one in Buzzards Bay. The place was filthy. the server took forever to come take our order. the 'cheese' on my MIL egg sandwich was actually cheese SAUCE and when she complained the server did not ask if she would like something else. after sucking it up and trying the sandwich, she decided to order something else and when the bill came we were still charged for the disgusting sandwich. my toast was actually two heels of a loaf of bread. which would be fine if I was at home, but not at a restaurant. I was waitressing at a breakfast place at the time of our visit to percys and when I told the owner/cook about the heels he couldn't believe it. after the food was served the waitress pretty much disappeared. we never got coffee refills and we never got our waters. I will never go here again and will tell everyone I know to never go here again as well. read more
