I found cube smart through my search via my AAA resources. I needed a storage to store some things…read moreI was planning on putting up for sale. Although it was very short term I had an exceptional experience with the storage manager at this location. If I recall correctly, his name was Russell. I liked that the storage facility was secured and a code was needed for entry and exit into storage facility/parking lot exit. I highly recommend this storage facility for its convenient location and exceptional customer service.

Since I needed more convenience, I chose to relocate all of the contents of this unit to another about 25 mins away. The due date was on the 10th of the month so I packed up on the 7th and advised the staff attendant on the grounds about us vacating the space permanently. She was friendly, took down the unit number and that was it. My previous (and first) experience here was also accommodating since I needed to do an assessment of what I was dealing with. When I first arrived to this facility, was on August 17th. The bill was due on the 10th and had not been paid yet due to the transition period of new Community Management. There was a red lock-out lock on the unit along with our lock so I walked into the office and spoke with the gentleman behind the desk. He was friendly, laughed about the situation and offered me a solution to pay it and he would release the lock before the contents of the unit went to auction. In my 2 visits, the staff were friendly, the grounds were clean but it just didn't suit my needs in regards to convenience.

Rental rate has changed over the months of use from the original special sale price, however. The Deets: I had a condo event where the building sprinkler system burst after a rare single digit temperature a night near Christmas, so I was in need of a storage area for things that survived the aftermath. After looking around, I found SecurCare Self Storage within a small driving distance from me. They had a sale going on at that time for 5 X 10 small unit that is first floor, temperature controlled for $60/month. The manager at the Morrisville location handled all items well and the transaction went smoothly. The storage unit itself was nicer than expected and did the job needed. I continue to use this storage unit, but after a few months the sale price was not continued and I now pay $80/month which is still doable. I've only had one instance where the payment system hit a snag, where it did appear my payment did occur but at the end of the transaction a message came that there was an application error so no confirmation was sent to me of my payment. When I called the office, this event was quickly remedied and I was emailed a copy of the receipt of my payment to retain for my own records. I am satisfied with using a small storage unit at this location of SecurCare and will continue to use their services for the time being.

Maintained a unit at SecurCare for nearly six years and the experience was excellent! Management (I…read morethink Russ is his name?) was very accommodating and responsive and the units and grounds were immaculate. Really appreciate the simple touches like the automatic lights and the courtesy brooms/dust pans in each building for a quick sweep. I moved away from the area and had been tempted to move my items closer to my home, but any local facilities I checked out didn't compare- like night and day difference. Highly, highly recommend!

I had items in storage and tried to access my unit on a weekend; only to find that my locked unit had an additional lock placed on it by the management. When management was called, they refused to come and take off the additional lock despite my account being paid in full and up to date. We had a party planned with out-of-town guests and had to cancel it at the last minute because we could not get to items needed for the party. In addition, the storage manager was unbelievably difficult, rude, and inappropriate. Totally unprofessional.

One day I go there and there is a red lock on one of the units. My payments were up to date, so I call the property manager and she tells me to look at the other unit I rent. There were some small dents on the door that anyone backing their vehicle or maybe someone dropping something on the door could have caused. She then tries to get me to confess to damaging the door. I told her if she has video or proof that I caused the damage I will reimburse accordingly. She refuses to show me any video and then says she will call the police to file charges and to get off the property. I was not about to leave the property with all my belongings still in my unit. So I call police and they come out to the property and call to inform the property manager that she can't file charges and damage to the door was a civil matter. So the police give me a few options to pursue. They were holding my belongings ransom in exchange for a dent on an outside door anyone could have damaged. What great customer service! After sending repeated texts to her and emails saying that I will wait at the property with the lease in hand till they get there and open my unit so I can get the hell out of that place. I finally get somewhere. She finally emails back informing me that the lock will be removed for one day and that I only have one day to get my stuff out or they will throw it out. In the email she notes that there has been break ins there in the past and they will throw out people's belongings. See quotes below from property manager. "We will stand FIRMLY behind our lease. We have turned video recordings over to law enforcement on prior occasions (most recently Jan. 11, 2015). Criminal charges were filed in that case and those individuals have been charged. We will review the tapes regarding this issue and contact that specific lead detective regarding this matter as well" "We have the legal option to open your unit and toss your belongings. We suggest you remove your belongings willingly on Monday and do not return to the property." This is incorrect by North Carolina laws. They need to inform you in writing and give you time to get your stuff out before tossing them. Anyways I got my stuff out and hope I can save someone from ever renting at that place.
