Complaint: Unacceptable Experience at A+ Storage Junction…read more I want to share an extremely unpleasant and unacceptable experience I had with A+ Storage Junction, involving improper charges, lack of professionalism, and xenophobia. Contract and First Improper Charge On February 5, 2024, I signed a contract with A+ Storage Junction to rent a 5x10 unit for $71.42 (including fees). Chris Jimenez assisted me and stated my payment due date would always be the 7th, as my move-in was scheduled for February 7. On March 6, I went to pay for the following month. Chris claimed he had called me for two days, but I never received any calls. He mentioned a number that wasn't mine. He then told me my payment was due on March 5, not March 7 as he originally stated. When I questioned this, a female employee rudely interrupted the conversation. Chris processed my payment but mistakenly charged the wrong unit (440 instead of 439). He refunded and recharged correctly after noticing the mistake. Second Improper Charge and Xenophobia On March 28, the company wrongly charged $81.77 to my card. On March 29, I went to resolve it politely. I showed my bank statement, but Chris refused to look, acting rude and claiming I was being aggressive--completely false, as I never disrespected him. He even said, "I don't care what's in your bank." He then mocked my English, saying I was speaking incorrectly and needed to learn proper English. I explained I'm Brazilian and still learning, to which he replied, "I'm Cuban, and I speak English correctly." He then made xenophobic remarks, saying "Brazilians think they're above everything," among other offensive comments. I remained calm, trying to resolve the issue. After much insistence, he finally admitted they had charged my card incorrectly again but didn't apologize. He simply told me to return on Monday for the refund. Then, he told me to remove my belongings from the unit. When I asked if I should take this to court, he accused me of making threats and continued making disrespectful comments about Brazilians. I called the police to ensure my rights. The officer confirmed that, unfortunately, xenophobia isn't a crime in Florida but advised me to remove my belongings. Chris then insinuated I was involved with the person from unit 440, claiming my card was saved on their account because, according to him, I was "probably friends with them." This is absurd since the mistake was his. Conclusion: Unprofessional and Discriminatory Company The company charged my card incorrectly TWICE. The attendant lied about the payment due date. I was disrespected and subjected to xenophobia while simply trying to fix their mistake. I do not recommend this company to anyone. I am now waiting for my refund and the return of the proportional amount for the days I didn't use my unit. In almost nine years living in the U.S., I have never been treated so poorly. If you're considering renting storage, stay away from A+ Storage Junction. They make mistakes, refuse responsibility, and disrespect customers.

I was told CubeSmart doesn't have anything to do with the cube smart app and they couldn't help me. Several times I've come on the property only to find the office is closed. Can't find anybody I leave come back and still the office is closed sign in the door shows a clock that says we'll be back at 2:45. It's now 4:00 p.m. and still nobody has shown up. I have found some live insect a few times. Mostly the stench of cat urine permeates about. Don't try calling the 1-800 number it'll tell you that it doesn't recognize your phone number to have an account. Or it just will automatically disconnect you and hang up on you. The only two options available none of them allow you to speak directly to anybody. Really poor customer service when there's no way for you to reach anybody in the physical either by phone or in person

They post all of these rules and then don't enforce them (no junk cars, one vehicle per space). Neighboring spaces park on or over the line. Space markers are plastic chain that gets moved or broken away. When informed the office does nothing to correct them problem making it very difficult and time consuming to try and park our trailer. The office is vacant more than half of the time. There are better storage places. Don't store here!

I got a good price for the type of unit I wanted but was not communicated the space number. I figured I would go to the office and deal with someone the next day but would lock in the online price. I was surprised to get a text early on my move in date with my gate code and access codes. In a separate email I got the unit number and instructions on how to open the rolling door in case this was your first storage excursion. I was charged online for the first month rent and for a lock. You are automatically comp'd 30 days in insurance. My skeptical nature had low expectations but after using the access code to get into my building I found the lock and keys waiting inside the unit. Ready to go even before the office opened. Wow! This has changed my impression of the hassle I had on my previous experience. A couple things to keep in mind. Unless you go in with proof of insurance they will keep charging you 9.99 a month for Orange door insurance. They raise rents and move you up to a more expensive unit charge on a regular basis so this is best for a short term storage solution.

All of the units are ground level and we chose a unit close to the front. We were storing household items so it was important that the unit was climate controlled. They also offer non climate controlled units and have several sizes to choose from. The entire facility is very clean and well maintained. Their prices are competitive. In addition to providing storage they are also an authorized Uhaul dealer. We rented a small truck from them twice for a few hours. We we quoted reasonable price and the convenience was helpful.

I'm glad I breezed past Public Storage and chose MNSC! Elliot, the assistant manager, was the first to help me out, while I rented the unit.
