I also hired Troy Peters from Refinishing San Diego after seeing his ad in the Home Concepts magazine. He gave me a fair estimate to refinish my beautiful Cabreuva Brazilian cherry hardwood floors. And yes, Perry's Floors showed up the next day. They were friendly enough but tapped into my 220 to run their sander which then trip the circuit and they didn't reset it so the next morning all of my frozen foods, including fish, was ruined and there was a puddle of water on the floor. Again, they tapped into my 220 to finish the floors. After they left, i inspected the floors and to my disgust, there was so much lint and hair under the finish, I started to mark the spots with blue painters tape and stop after two rooms, it was ridiculous. The finish also had an 'orange peel' texture to it and not the beautiful sheen of my original floors. I asked Troy to come back and look at the floors which he did. Then he taped the cable modem from my phone with gorilla tape to my wall, needless to say, the paint came off with the tape. Again i asked him to not use a paint roller to apply the finish and he sent me a nasty text saying i shouldn't tell him how to do his job. Perry's guys returned and rescreened and refinished the floors again and again they looked terrible. I asked Troy to give back my deposit mostly because of the paint that came off the walls. There were spots that the guys missed as well. Perry personally came back to fix three areas that has been missed plus one area in front of the refrigerator that has a six inch piece of hair under the finish. I was so unhappy with the way my floors looked that I actually cried. to this day, i can't stand looking at the floors and I have asked them for a full refund. Troy's ad does say 100% satisfaction guaranteed. I am at a -100% satisfied and expressed this in a letter to Perry three months ago. Still no refund. I feel like this is a total bait and switch. If you do an internet search for Troy Peters and Refinishing San Diego, there is nothing! Perry seems to be a nice man however the company he keeps will continuing to do harm to his business. read more
