First time here and wow what an amazing selection! I got strip steaks, cavatelli with broccoli, vodka sauce and rice pudding. Everything looks so fresh and delicious. I'll definitely be back!

You ,Just can't get a better fresh burger patties then at this spot to cook at home . The meats are so fresh and quality. The prices are super fair for the meats and fresh take home Italian food in small metal trays to be cooked in your oven . They have a large selection of fresh prepared Italian food , chicken dishes , fresh homemade soups to take home . They also sell fresh bore heads meats and chesse which were priced like any supermarket. They sell fresh jarred vodka sauce , meat and many other types of homemade sauce . Just amazing place for fresh Italian food and meats! Last year we even bought all our meats from this butcher frozen them pack them in our suit took the to Aruba to cook at our timeshare. They put that island meats to shame . The staff is super friendly and call most of the customer by their 1 st names . Just an awesome old school butcher crew .

I went here the other day and service was TERRIBLE. Meat was dry as h e double hockey sticks and when I got my chicken soup there was a piece of paper in my soup. Actually disgusting. Everyone was so rude and out of their minds and kept talking about the Russian VS Ukraine war and was extremely negative. NEVER COME HERE.

Last week on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend I got to Perrotti's at 5:00 which is when they close. The guys inside were scrambling to get things cleaned up and set for the next day. I felt terrible but they were awesome! They got me the sausage and fresh mozzarella I went in for and I kept apologizing because I hate holding people at the end of the day, and they kept saying "don't worry about it!". The owner looked at me and said "anytime we're here, we are always open!" You really don't find that anymore. I really appreciate them not just saying "we're closed". The sausage was fantastic! It was tasty and not too much fat like other places can be. The mozzarella was fresh and made a great caprese salad! They have so many more delicious items to choose from like deli meats, fresh meats and a ton of Italian speciality items! Thank you so much for being extremely nice to a guy that showed up at closing time!!

The chopped meat is freshly ground and can't be compared to anything you'd buy in a supermarket.

Soooo, we went to Embark tonight for the second time. Full disclosure, the first time Wifey and I…read morecame here was when they first opened, we came kind of late and we didn't have the best experience, but I PROMISED myself I'd come back before reviewing because I honestly believed I just hit them on a bad night. Had a good friend recently tell me I needed to come back, so we did. Tonight we ordered a half rack of ribs, a pulled pork sandwich, and the pulled pork Mac-n-cheese. In a word, the food was fantastic. I've had BBQ in a LOT of places and also have my own smoker that I've gotten pretty good at using it so I know good BBQ...and this is good BBQ. The ribs were delicious - cooked perfectly the way the want them in competition...not fall off the bone, but with a little bite, and the flavor was great. Amazing bark on the outside with tender meat on the bone. The pulled pork sandwich was so tender and delicious that I wish I didn't have to share it with Wifey. And their homemade BBQ sauce is absolutely great...a little spice on the back of the tongue, but still sweet without being overly sweet (they have four kinds, but I only wanted the traditional). The pulled pork Mac-n-cheese was very rich but full of flavor with a nice breadcrumb topping as well. Each platter also came with cole slaw, something often overlooked by BBQ places, but not here. Very tasty, very fresh, though I think it needed a pinch of salt. I do wish we had gotten some cornbread, but honestly, we walked away very full. The service here is super friendly and our food came pretty quickly...and I really love the layout and vibe here. I spoke to the owner about how much I loved the food tonight and how it was such a difference from my first experience. I'm so glad we came back. The people behind the counter all seem to LIKE what they're doing...and that means a lot. Real BBQ places are always pricey, because you aren't paying for just the food, your paying for the hours and hours and hours of cooking it takes to get the food to taste as good as it does and to be tender. You can't take shortcuts with BBQ. So yeah, Embark isn't cheap, but if there's one thing I've discovered over the years it's that you DON'T want cheap BBQ. Embark is a BYOB place so bring your favorite beer, order some great food, and sit with friends savoring the deliciousness. I will NOT wait this long to come back again.

There is a decent amount of seating, although there were more takeout orders at the time I visited. It's very clean inside and decorated nicely. I ordered the 2-meat sampler with brisket and pulled pork. The brisket was awesome, super tender and packed with flavor. The BBQ sauce really complemented the meats. The pulled pork was also very good, but the brisket was definitely the star. The mac and cheese was just okay. The breadcrumbs on top made the mac and cheese a bit soggy. Portions were a bit small for the price. Overall, I thought my meal was good but I would definitely come back just for that brisket.

Recently I made it a point to visit to pick up a sandwich for lunch and I'm really glad I did! Al's is very clean and welcoming. When you walk in the cashier counter is to the left, set at a right angle to that is the deli counter where sandwiches are assembled. The menu is mounted on the wall towards the back. To the right is a seating area. Across from the cashier is a fridge with various pasta dishes ready to heat up and eat along with some baked goods and lots of different kinds of chips to go with your sammich. I wound up ordering the Red & White Russian which includes Roast Beef, Turkey, Swiss, Horseradish, Deli Mustard, Lettuce, Tomato & Onion. You can have it pressed by request but I did not do so. I also ordered a side order of macaroni salad. The Red & White Russian was really good! The size was perfect and the bread was soft and chewy. There was a good amount of meat and cheese and I really liked the mustard and horseradish flavors. The macaroni salad was great. I would definitely get both of these again! I'm glad I made it a point to stop at Al's and I plan to do so again in the future!

We called ahead for a couple sandwiches and they were ready within 20 minutes on a Saturday morning. That's pretty impressive as we near the days of summer sandwiches. When I arrived they still needed a few minutes to finish our order up, but I needed that order to nervously make sure I was picking chips out that everyone would like in the car. They said they would be fine with anything but I don't believe anyone would be fine with just any chip. I ended up getting like 6 bags for 3 people. We left with a heavy bag of sandwiches and chips and turned this into a car meal on our way down the shore. It was the perfect sandwich! The red & white had chicken cutlet, greens, roasted red peppers, & moz on a ciabatta bread and I added avocado. Delicious and will be getting ahead. This would be a great spot for lunch and reading the reviews, it looks like they also make a great breakfast sandwich and they cater. With many more drives down the shore, I will need many more car sandwiches. Happy to know a great spot to get them!

I told myself I was going to start bringing lunch to work. You know--be healthy, save money…read more.. maybe a nice yogurt. Right on cue, my coworker texts: "Where are we eating?" Well. That plan died instantly. We had just gone to Rocco's Steakhouse yesterday for steak... so naturally, we decided to go out for steak again. Because balance. Four of us rolled out like we had a reservation with destiny. We started strong: Grilled bacon with peanut butter and jalapeño. My coworkers loved it. I personally don't believe peanuts belong anywhere near my bacon, but I respected the chaos. Massive cocktail shrimp with three sauces--we split those like civilized people. Cobb salad, for health. Obviously. Then came: Dry-aged porterhouse meatballs with gorgonzola crema and black garlic. Good--but in my world, meatballs belong in a proper red sauce. I'm traditional like that. Main event: Bone-in dry-aged prime sirloin. Delicious. Tuscan-style, not drowning in butter. Ordered medium rare... received "this cow has a LinkedIn profile." Sides absolutely stole the show: The Quality Potato (elite) Gnocchi & cheese (life-changing) Brussels sprouts (so we can keep pretending we're making good choices) Dessert:Carrot cake ice cream slice + espresso. Because at this point, why stop? Service was amazing--our waitress and busboy were so engaging they even brought us extra cookies. I felt seen. The place itself is cozy, warm, a little industrial, and tucked below ground--like a delicious steak bunker. Anyway... I'll bring that yogurt tomorrow.Probably.

The exposed concrete, Edison bulbs, and high ceilings give it that downtown-meets-Midtown vibe that somehow still feels special, even after all these years. We ordered the tomahawk for the table, and honestly... it was a little smaller than I expected. Still perfectly cooked, just more "cute" than over-the-top. But the real stars: Definitely the bacon with jalapeño peanut butter jam so addictive, sweet and spicy all at once. I come back just for that. And the sides are everything. The mac & cheese is insanely creamy and comforting, while the Brussels sprouts are crispy, perfectly seasoned, and actually make vegetables feel fun. Overall, it's a steakhouse that gets it right, classic, chic, and reliable, but with just enough creativity to keep it interesting. Definitely a must-visit when you're in NYC and want a little luxe without feeling stuffy. I bring my parents here!
