This is the spot. The meat and chicken are always great. They will cut and clean your chicken cutlets. There is always plenty of meat and chicken. There are also plenty of staff to assist with orders. The line may seem long at times but it moves fast. The place is also very clean. The price is right. Check this place out! read more

We had a close friend recommend this butcher. We went there with high hopes for a brisket and were very, very disappointed. The first cut piece we requested looked like no other brisket we had ever bought before, parts of it were very hard in the packaging. It was also not a long piece , nor the same height all the way across. Instead it was like a mound. It seemed strange but we had received a strong recommendation so we purchased it. It came out of the oven very tough and we ended up throwing it away. The staff were nice but we were not there for chat , but for a tender brisket. read more

Romeos Meats has the best beef in Brooklyn. Their steaks are the freshest in the neighborhood. I've tried many places in Brooklyn looking for quality meatand they never disappoint. They have a large selection of prime beef and also aged steaks as well. They have a good selection of fresh sausages and a rather large selection of chicken sausage. The chicken sausage ring with buffalo sause and cheese was a complete surprise and amazingly good. Literally the best chicken sausage I've ever tasted. The staff is always friendly and everything is trimmed and packaged perfectly. If you are looking for something for the barbecue or a main course for a Sunday dinner, this is the place. read more

Great butcher shop. Nice variety. The customer service was wonderful. Great prime meats.

I love the sausage from here! They have any type of meat you may need for a bbq or just for a nice dinner with family! The meat is always fresh and it is always packed I feel like that says enough! The lines go by quickly and the staff is helpful! read more

I had an OK experience here. .... It was near impossible getting in with my babies stroller. Little to no customer service. When I asked for a particular item, the worker said it was in the freezer and told me to get it myself. The store is extremely small and felt very cramped. ... They have a decent choice of meats, but I didn't notice anything organic (which I would have liked). Their selection seems to be mainly a lot of different cuts of beef. read more

For Christmas dinner, my husband decided to go to Romeo's for a pork roast instead of Costco. The pork roast cost us almost 3 times more than Costco and was not even half as good. It was dry and not very tasty. My husband is an amazing cook and Brian's and makes his own spice rubs, but nothing could help this piece of meat. I choked down three bites because I didn't want my husband to be upset, but we will never buy a pork roast from Romeo's again. read more

great service and great prices for their meats. always fresh and their home made sausages are pretty good too.

Best butcher in Bensonhurst. The selection is pretty wide and the quality is supreme. The prices are reasonable too.

I've lived in Dyker for most of my life but only discovered Romeo's a few years ago after working in some high end restaurants and getting into food. It's really incredible the quality of meat that they provide for the price they give. My usual order is a ribeye that I grill myself, they usually come out 1.3-1.5 lbs and it's $17/lbs. Aside from Keens, Old Homestead and possibly Ruths Chris you're not getting better quality, and you're paying $80+ at the steakhouses. I've tried mostly everything though and again I'm always satisfied, I even bought that stupid cutting board just to show support because I do really love this butcher shop. Today's order was a rib and 4 lamb chops and as always, incredible read more

This store specializes in prime meat, a gem for Brooklyn! I went and told the butcher , cut me a 2 inch thick porterhouse. He looked me and smiled and I smiled back. He went to work and in no time , got me a cut that has the right portion of fillet and NY strip. A very happy person at that moment. I brought it home , salted over night in the fridge. Slow seared with hardwood charcoal and a little of wood chips on my Weber grill for about an hour at 230-250(it's an old Weber, temperature control is not the best). Let it sat for about 30mins and served. It came out pink, juicy , smoky and BEEFyyyy. Fed a family of 6 that loved every piece of this steak this place sale. It's way cheaper and tastier than eating at a steak house .... Going back for the Kobe beef on my Bday! read more

I love their meats... their wings this place is small but has a great selection of things! . This steak was like butter. It was a combination of a reverse searing and great products read more

This is straight up fraud. You should be ashamed of yourselves (only the owner) to call yourself a butcher. This is choice meat, not prime and you tell your patrons prime. For the record it's not even that good of choice. I will never be coming back here again, too many other options that are great to choice from. Smith street butcher is where it's at no lying no games. Do better stop lying. The workers are great to bag they got a fraud as a boss. read more

I made a special trip to come to Romeo Brothers Meats & Foods. I wanted to bring home one of their fatty, homemade sausage rings as well as sausage patties made with fresh cheese & parsley to throw on the grill. Now Romeo Brothers Meats & Foods isn't for the timid! I know what I want, the counter folks are very direct. Next! I ask for a large sausage ring along with (4) sausage patties. I ask my wife, want anything else? She pauses for 5 seconds. There are people behind us, the counterperson is tapping his pencil and I'm smiling. Romeo Brothers Meats & Foods is a great butcher shop in Brooklyn. A busy shop, there are plenty of special meat cuts. Brooklyn! Support your local, neighborhood butcher read more

Quickly became our go-to spot to pickup butchered meats. The prices tend to be reasonable and we find that the staff there is helpful about making sure we get the right cuts. I might see what their bigger roasts and stuff are like, but the smaller cuts have yet to let us down. read more

Is it bad that ever since I bought the Peter Luger bacon there, that I keep thinking about it everyday? I think I'm obsessed. Someone might need to restrain me so I won't consume too much Peter Luger bacon. And the pork chops that I bought there. MMMMmmmm. So thick and tender! You really can't beat the price and quality of the meat there. And this place is only 10 minutes walking distance from me! LOVE! Never thought I would have so much love for a meat shop :D read more

Come here if you want to get RIPPED OFF & LIED TO! I'm SO DISGUSTED BY THIS PLACE! 1. It wreaks! 2. Unfriendly 3. They cheat you. I went in for the first time a few hours ago and I asked the guy behind the counter for 20 Italian Sausages, I couldn't see anything over the high counters or through the blocked windows of the fridge and now I see why it's purposely done that way so the customer can't see them gypping you! he said "$20.61" handed me the bag, I said "you gave me 20 sausages, right?" The jerk off said "yea 20 sausages". I get home & there's only 16! I need it for a party tomorrow night & I didn't get a chance to go anywhere else because meat markets for some reason close early. It was too late to go back to this friggen place, since they closed by the time I got home. They can shove their meats up their a55es, NEVER AGAIN! There are waaay BETTER meat markets in the area, you just have to go early. read more

Best butcher in Brooklyn hands down. Can't compare the quality, price and knowledge of these guys. I was also in the shop the same time as someone who just wrote a bad review about sausages and I just have to defend these guys. This customer was very nasty, disrespectful and I couldn't understand what they were saying just as the butchers couldn't. You get charged for whatever was weighed out on the scale you can clearly see so you don't get charged for anything you don't get. These guys aren't stealing $2 from someone I can assure you lmao. If you aren't getting sausage from here you are missing out! read more

I am soo disappointed. My wife and I having resided in Dyker Hts for years have been loyal customers even after moving to Sheepshead Bay back in 2015. I came New Year's eve to purchase a couple of filet mignon steaks. I didn't see any on display so I asked the guy if they had any and how much. I nearly heard him but I read on the menu that they advertised butcher cut filet mignon for $21.99lb. so I asked for 2lbs. I really couldn't see what they were doing behind the counter but I saw him take a really large chunk of meat from the plastic and to me it looked way too big and wide to be filet mignon, those strips are usually no wider than 4 or 5 inches wide, but I asked him to cut them thick which he did, I paid tipped him as I usually do. But when I got home and opened it, what I found was not filet mignon, not only that but I was charged $24.99lb not the advertised $21.99. My heart sank because I've been planning this dinner so I cooked them anyway. I want driving all the way from Sheepshead on New Year's eve. The taste and texture was not that of filet mignon. The steak was okay but not what I wanted or paid for. I feel very betrayed & basically ripped off. I had better steak from Aldi, at least I know what I'm getting. Never again, sad to loose a long time customer over being deceitful. Sad what happened to integrity? read more

Came here to purchase a prime rib for Christmas. Granted I know the place is busy from my previous trips but I was willing to wait. Got there and there was a steady flow of customers going in and out picking up their holiday meats. There were 4 men behind the counter and 3 more (that I can see) working behind the scenes. It was Christmas eve and they were definitely ready to handle customers. Took home a piece of prime rib about 6 pounds, cooking directions were on it, but no seasoning directions (I guess everyone had their own preference). All I did was season with salt and pepper and follow the stickers directions. OMG! What a piece of meat. Just enough fat to flavor it and keep it tender. Directions were on point. The piece cut like butter and was so tender. I've bought chicken from him before, and they slice it so well (at no charge), but I'll be back to try more. Cant wait till barbeque season. read more

Romeo Meats - 6 pounds of pure prime rib heaven - Meat Shops Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Just to clear up any confusion, Romeo Brothers Meats & Foods is the company that provides the products for Lioni butcher shop on the corner of this particular block. Romeo Bros. also provides meat for other shops in the area! They are extremely popular here in this small Lioni location, with the most popular item being the $2.49 a pound chicken cutlets! They will leave the fat on for you or trim it for no charge or even slice them as thin as you would like and they taste amazing! They always provide a fresh batch and fine quality chicken that's great to just pick up and use same day for a great meal. Other popular items here that are sure bets are the chicken breast and the skirt steaks! My personal favorite in the summertime is the sausage pinwheels! They provide a bunch of different types that are just fantastic on a summer barbecue like sun dried tomato, cheese and basil and many more. For some reason you can also buy Costco-sized tubs of mayo and Frank's red hot here, which could be useful i guess. Bottom line is this store is a meat lover's dream and one of the top butchers around, especially on this block where the great Lioni name proudly provides all the heroes, pasta and Italian products you could ever want. read more

I've been going to Romeo's for a very long time and spent a ton on great quality meat. However I just went this weekend and questioned where they get their meat from because the signs on each item has changed to "The Chairman's" cut? I purchased 6 thick NY strips of the "Chairman's" cut and I have to say I'm very disappointed. Ligaments in the steak made you feel like you were eating rubber bands, cutting the meat was difficult as well. I grilled to medium rare, not my first rodeo grilling fine meat. I don't think I'll be going back. read more

I love finding spots like this. It reminds me of a older time where neighborhoods knew their butcher and the local shop instead of big box stores. It's a butcher shop that caters towards customers needs. Great prices on chicken, steaks, and pork chops. Attentive service as my butcher cut my chicken order up to my request. Go for the in house made sausages or any of the dry aged steaks and pork chops. The meats were of great quality. Be wary of lines on weekends though but they'll take care of your protein needs. read more

Since my local meat store does not sell dry aged steaks anymore, I decided to head down here to give this place a go. It is your typical meat store-offering chicken, lambchops, rib eye steaks, porterhouse steaks, etc. I decided to give the dry aged t-bone steak a try. When I asked how long the steaks were dry-aged for, he said months. So, why the heck not? After slicing off about an inch of the t-bone steak off for me, the guy trimmed off the fat and then weighed it. The rib-eye and t-bone dry aged steak is about $29/lb. So, when the butcher said the total was $65...this steak better make me full! Got home, cooked it in the oven for a bit, and then put it on the cast iron skillet...best $65 invested! I mean, you go out to have steak at Peter Luger's or whatever, for around the price but this fed five people! This place is clean, with many guys in the back preparing meats. Everything looks fresh in quality and the line moves quickly and smoothly. Prices are decent as well. I would definitely call ahead to see what dry-aged steaks they have in store before making the trip. Would like to try the dry aged rib-eye steak since they didn't have it! read more

I think this place is great. Spending most of my life on Long Island I never had the luxury of acquiring my meat from a real butcher shop. When I moved to Brooklyn a few years ago one of the many things I was excited about was all the butcher shops within a mile radius of my apartment. The thing I really like about Romeo Brothers are the prices. $1.99 a pound for chicken cutlets (all the time), quality cuts of steak at a reasonable cost, Peter Luger's thick cut bacon for a mere $4.99 a pound? Wow. I really love this place and will keep on coming back. Service is always prompt, helpful, and cut my meat just right (that's what she said). Somehow I miss their annual block party BBQ... hopefully next year I'll be around! -- *Cash only! read more

Great cuts of meat at ridiculously low prices. Stumbled upon them from a friend's recommendation. It's the only location, but worth the trip all the way from Greenpoint to stock up on meats. My husband and I fight over their Bacon and cheddar burgers whenever I return from a trip to Bensonhurst. Things to eat while there - Burgers, rib steaks, and pinwheel sausages that are as big as your head. Oh and if you're making chicken parm, and need thin chicken cutlets? They cut them for you. For free. Seriously, check them out. read more
