    XL Beef Pho Noodle Soup
    Stevi B.

I met up with some friends early in the week for dinner so I'd looked Perle up on Yelp. I was a bit unsure what to expect based on reviews, but after having the opportunity to dine in, it seems to be the only perceived "flaw" was that they maintained the original name when they switched concepts from French fusion to Vietnamese. I'd encourage you to browse the reviews... and then head in to make your own judgement! (I'm happy I did.) We had a great experience, starting with our waitress which I unfortunately didn't get her name. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave great recommendations. I went with the roast beef pho French dip... not recommended as a first date food because it was generously filled, packed with flavor and messy if you eat it right. :-) I had to makeshift a napkin bib. I'd definitely order that again. We also shared the beef pho noodle soup, hanoi pork lettuce cups and the wagyu beef carpaccio. The pho was also a generous size, loaded with bone marrow, oxtail, and a flavorful broth. My favorite part of the meal, however, was unexpected- the carpaccio was incredibly good. I'd go back just to order this! For cocktails I also decided to go outside of the box. I'm not a fan of dark liquor but the cherry apple sour sounded intriguing, and did not disappoint. It was a perfect balance of sweet with the whiskey. There is street parking along the block and also a parking garage around the corner, making for easy access and the ability to explore before or after dining.

The atmosphere was nice, god lightings and customers service was pretty good! I had the wagyu burger it was undercooked at first, so I let the staff know and they accommodated me. Overall I would go back

Carpaccio was not good - the meat sliced a bit thick like what you'd get in pho broth. Very sinewy and hard to chew.

Oh, sweet Perle Wine Bar! How I miss you!!! The new iteration is just one big miss for us... the food has some potential, but it's simply not good enough nor elevated enough to warrant the price and date night setting.

    Our beautiful cocktails

We had such a nice dinner at Perle last night! Diane was our server and she was helpful with our questions and made us feel very comfortable! She also helped celebrate my friend's birthday for us. The drinks were delicious and we loved the shaken beef salad!! it was my first time there, even though I live in the village and couldn't have asked for anything better! Highly recommend!!!

While a few of the dishes we had heard about were gone from the menu (Mina specialties) they had a solid listing of staples and I understand they're working on formally relaunching the restaurant with a bunch of new dishes. The vibe is great (5Star) - good seating with each table having something fun to look at, be it the bar or the ocean, and the music was groovy for lack of a better word. Food was 4 stars but the steak, tipped me back into 5 star category. We had the spicy tuna roll which appeased our sushi desire, the Caesar salad for some greens, and the Delmonico Ribeye with carrots. The steak was phenomenal and I paired it with a Vesper Martini which was mixed expertly. Looking forward to coming back and seeing what the new owners do on the relaunch.

Also, at that price point, it's underwhelming and crosses into disappointing. Beautiful presentation and buzz word ingredients but the food delivery falls short. Shrimp toast - this was so strange. The shrimp is fused on top of "toast" that tastes stale, oily, and spongey all at once. I hated the mouth feel of this one. Roasted half chicken is trying to be expensive fusion Hainan chicken but the rice is not good and the chicken is salty. Uni squid ink pasta was also extremely salty.

The inside is dimly lit and decorated elegantly. I liked the inclusion of honeycombs in the lighting fixtures and even the ice in my drink. The darks and golds almost give Great Gatsby vibes. We all ordered a different cocktail from their signature menu. I got the Electric Nectar. The drink was a little tart and sour. The Buzzed & Bougie was very floral, and The Cusco Comb had a nice balance of flavors. Out of the 3, the Electric Nectar was probably the strongest in terms of tasting the alcohol. I don't particularly prefer sour drinks. If I were to re-order, I would get the Cusco Comb, as it fits my taste profile the most. We also ordered the Burrata to share. It came with 6 pieces of toast, which was perfect and divided evenly among the 3 of us. The burrata was delicious. The cherry gastrique added a nice touch of sweetness without being overly sweet. As time progressed, more and more people came in. By the time we left, the lounge was pretty filled.

I would come back to give them another chance because their whiskey selection was amazing and the Paper Plane was delicious!
