Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Cubed Hash

Perkins is a pretty good spot for a pretty good price if you're looking for some classic American breakfast choices! I decided to order some traditional morning foods like eggs, bacon, hash and toast but couldn't resist their pancakes too since the FOMO would get me if I didn't at least try them. The inside of the place is cozy, lots of booths and table seating for small and larger parties. The bakery section seemed a little small, but had so many pastries available to try. Oh, and If you're a sports fan, they even sell merch for various teams in different varieties and sizes right next to the bakery and register. Overall, had a pleasant experience here. My only gripes are that service was a tad slow and my breakfast meal looked nothing like the picture on the menu (portion and quantity wise) but otherwise had a good time!

I love this place. The best breakfast around and the best turkey platter. I used to come for the pot pie meal deal with a side salad and pie but they got rid of the pot pies sadly, but I started getting the turkey platter, and it's so delicious. The staff are really good and on point with service and they are friendly which is good too! I'd recommend coming in for a quick bite, or a slice of pie.

Perhaps it was just this particular Perkins, but it does seem that this franchise is a poor man's version of the ubiquitous IHOP. It was hard not to notice an immediate disappointment moving from the beautiful menu photos to the presentation on our plates. From proud to defeated, boisterously sensational to meekly fallen, the reality fell far from the mark. Not that the french toast platter and quesadillas were without taste, but that they were not nearly as grand as advertised. The brioche thick slices absorbed the egg/sugar/vanilla mix, but not quite enough to overcome its dry core. The crisp bacon was not so, and the deflated quesadillas were so thinly filled as to believe the promised steak was little more than tender shoe leather. True, the hall was crowded, the prices quite reasonable and the coffee topped off in a thermos pitcher on the table. Kenny's service was friendly, clever and accommodating, but could not overcome the the tools he was working with. Perkins appeared to be an anchor of this Grant Avenue neighborhood in Northeast Philly. It should do something to assure that it does not contribute further to its distress.

OMG! Why only 3stars?! It should be 5stars!!! My family just moved to Philadelphia , and we looking for breakfast place like countryside style that we always have with our previous state and we found it! We will come frequently and Erica was my server, she so sweet and nice, thanks so much!

Enough coffee for the morning.

The pandan cake and egg tart were perfectly not-too-sweet, which is why I personally tend to gravitate towards Asian baked goods. The sponge bread is slightly sweet and very light and really quite wonderful. The barbecue pork bun and the pineapple bun were exactly as it should taste. No wonder those two are the best sellers. The egg tart is not too sweet, none of these breads are (aka high praise for any pastries ). Would definitely return! I thought the service was nice. I think there could be some challenges with English, but you could also just point!! My personal favorites are the sponge bread and the pineapple bun. So that's what I would get again. For people who love barbecue pork bun, I think you probably would want to get this.

If you know, you know. The pastries here are absolutely worth the detour--and honestly, wherever I see a Paris Baguette, I do pull over. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie.
