I ordered a latte, and while I was waiting, six customers were served before me. When I asked the barista a question, he answered very rudely, without the slightest apology. I hope your team focuses on improving customer service when hiring new staff.

Americano

I've been to other Paris Baguette. I like the different types of desserts but there was only one thing that caught my eye, which was the tart. I enjoyed my tart and americano. I liked that the code to the bathroom was on the bottom of the receipt so it kept people out of the bathroom if they didn't buy anything.

This is my go-to Paris Baguette in Philly. It consistently churns out well-made latte drinks and desserts. There's lots of seating, too.

Strawberry shortcake
Camille N.

My husband's favorite dessert is strawberry shortcake so while in Philly we stopped at Paris Baguette to purchase two slices. We walked in and the set up was really nice with seating to the right, displays of the different desserts to the left. We were greeted by two really nice women. The cakes were to go so they were packaged nicely and placed in a cute bag. The cake- it was a few hours before we actually ate it but when I put the first forkful in my mouth, I could hear angels singing. It was so moist, literally melting in my mouth. The strawberries were sweet and the whipped topping was simply the best. Needless to say, I could have eaten my slice and my husband's. I am now on the hunt to find a location near where I live.

This was my first visit thanks to a recommendation from a coworker and I was enjoyed it. I like the setup where you enter the restaurant, grab a tray and tongs, and proceed to make your selections. The prices are great for Center City/Downtown and anything that is recommended to be eaten warm, can be warmed up free of charge during checkout. The restaurant was clean and had space to plug up and work if you wanted to. I plan to return to try something else on the menu and may even try this place when I need to meet clients in the area.

This is my go to for that "Wow" factor. Such a beautiful assortment of Yumminess. I don't want to call the items pastries or donuts because they are "Next Level" I have purchased Birthday Cakes, Must have "Morale Boost Monday's or just because as an act of kindness. The quality, beauty, presentation, and uniqueness is in a class of its own. I grabbed a Vegan Blueberry Muffin for myself. The other items are for my goddaughter who is preparing for her cat Kassie to transition. Little Things Mean A Lot! Thank you Lise and team for helping me make someone's day.

A lot of choices of beautiful cakes. They are light and not too sweet. My favorite is cappuccino cake.

Dessert Case

The New York-style strawberry cheesecake was really good and super creamy and definitely worth the price for the flavor. We also tried the ham and Swiss hash brown, which had great flavor and is something I would definitely get again. The berry chantilly cake was amazing, and the bread was just as good. Overall, everything we tried was flavorful and enjoyable and I'd come back!

Mango coconut cake
Jane H.

Beautiful cakes- got a mango coconut cream cake for my birthday. We ordered ahead online for pickup and the service was great and they even called to confirm the writing on my cake. It was packaged very well with a nice box, secured onto the box with a small stake hidden inside, and a gift bag. The cake itself was very moist and soft - lots of cream. The cream was not too sweet which let the mango and berries' natural sweetness come through. I would have preferred more and riper mango slices, but given that mango wasn't in season, it's understandable. The cake felt very light and I didn't feel gross after eating it. I'll always request my bday cakes from Paris Baguette in the future- would try the berry cake next.

There's always a nice variety of pastries and cakes here. I ordered a cake and it was ready to go at my selected pick up time. As always, I love that their cakes come with a cake cutter/candles/matches. Service is quick. Casual ambiance. There are several tables for you to sit and enjoy a bite or drink on site as well.

Ganache cream cake slice

Picked up a few slices of cake and assorted pastries from this location. 100% will be back! Big location with a lot of people inside working on their laptops. Very clean and organized inside. I bought the ganache cream cake slice, green tea with strawberry cake slice, whole red bean bread and pumpkin pecan pastry. Everything was delicious. Everyone agreed the green tea with strawberry cake was the best one there. Moist, flavorful and addicting! I highly recommend this place when randomly craving something sweet or when you need to buy a cake for a special occasion. Beautiful presentation, not overly sweet, and affordable prices!

Esy C.

Their new coffee croissant donut is WAY TOO SWEET. As you can see in this picture, it is smothered with icing, Carmel, and literal sugar chunks. I've had this and other locations before, and I was able to finish all of it. I could not even eat half and I gave the other half to my friend. The new coconut caramel latte is also SO sweet and I asked for less pumps of syrup. Either they did not do that or just ignored. I am getting a massive headache and diabetes from this place.

Fruit Berry Tart

Berry tart is so good there. Fresh juicy berries and nice crunchy tart. We also tried a few macaroons and white chocolate macadamia cookie. Everything tasted great!

Place was nice and bright. Plenty of seating. So many things looked tasty but I got two pain aux raisins, an eclair, a merveilleux, and 4 mini choux pastries (2 for $1). The total came to $24. Pain aux raisin was good but not the best I've ever had. Would have liked them to be slightly thicker and crispier. Plenty of raisins though. Crème pâtissière was fantastic. Eclair was thin and dainty. I got this for my son as a safe bet. I tried a piece and I was so delighted to find it was filled with a chocolate pudding type of filling. The mini choux pastries were an impulse buy. I got enough for everyone in the car ride home to try. Delicious and delicate one bite treat. The merveilleux was a blind buy. Read a review that raved about it so I gave it a try. I didn't even know what to expect. It's crispy meringue covered in cream and crushed speculoos cookies. It's so heavenly! 2/3 of us liked the merveilleux the best and one of us liked the pain aux raisin the best. Come here if you're looking for something really special

There are also a variety of "birthday/celebration items," like cards and candles. The interior is small, with one table, but very clean and well-decorated. The service is quick and conducive for to-go orders and they accept credit card. As there is only one register, if there is a line, it may take a while. When I was there, I was in and out in about 5 minutes. I ordered the cheesecake, rainbow cookie, and cinnamon roll. These were all so delicious and I'll be back soon for more! The cheesecake was decadent but had depth to its flavor and the crust was thick and solid. I really enjoyed the slice and it was large enough to be shared, so I felt the price was spot on for the value. The rainbow cookie was one of the best I've ever had, with its rich chocolate flavor, and was an elevated version of ones I've had in the past. Lastly, the cinnamon roll was a bit too sweet for me, but otherwise it was what I'd call "a perfect cinnamon roll." Fluffy, cinnamon-forward, and with lots of icing! I walked right up and ordered - you can look through the window at the pastries - and order which ones you would like. I immediately noticed these 'large' cakes (large compared to the pastries) and asked what they were - Pound Cakes - Lemon and Lavender. I opted for the Lavender. This was a 'simple' cake - a little icing on the top, and a very subtle lavender taste. It was moist and rich, but not too dense - perfect texture. It was a very enjoyable piece of cake. I may try the Lemon Pound cake next time. Next, was the Plum Almond Tarte - it looked amazing. The exterior was browned and had a delicious caramelized crunch to it. I could immediately taste the plum topping as I crunched on a few almonds. However, once I got to the interior of the tart, it was soggy - too moist. I don't think it's supposed to be that way - but it made the tart difficult to eat. It was very tasty, but the sogginess really detracted from the texture. There's an attached picture of the middle of the tart. I thought I would get a cookie and they had 4 choices - I chose the Molasses. It has been a LONG time since I had a molasses cookie. This one had a soft homemade texture - it was sprinkled with sugar. The deep taste of molasses came through immediately and left a delightful little 'bite' like fresh ginger or cloves might do. It was a great cookie. I saw some macaroons in the front of the window - plain and chocolate chip - I got the plain. I'm used to the 'store bought' macaroons-with finally chopped coconut and a soft creamy texture. This was NOT the Manishewitz coconut macaroon I grew up with....good thing! This was a 'real' macaroon - the coconut was shredded a longer length and had true texture. The cookie has a crispy exterior and a chewy coconut interior. I also ordered a mini tarte - the Pear Pistachio Tarte. It was covered in a pistachio crumble and a pear topping, with a pistachio custard filling, which had a reasonable consistency, unlike the Plum Almond. I'm a big pistachio lover and this little tart was yummy - the combination of nutty and fruity came out really well. Last, but not least, is the Apricot Financier. This is a very different pastry - moist - with a very subtle almond taste. There's a very small slice of apricot (I wish there would have been more) which added a nice fresh fruity chew to the light cake. While the cake tasted fine, it needed 'something' more. I'll be returning to Tarte - most likely for the pound cakes and a few cookies!

We have gotten a lot of other things on the menu before, but some of the standouts include the French Onion Soup, the Tuna Carpaccio, the Escargot, the Tomato Tart, and honestly just a side of the fries. The fries here are delicious. The waiter recommended the Tuna Carpaccio and oh my gosh it was so good. It was salty and the tuna is so melt in your mouth and the bread went perfectly with it. The tomato tart just tasted like an elevated pizza so you can't really go wrong with it. My husband absolutely loves the Escargot and I think the sauce that it comes with is really good.
