Dr Periklis? It is quite difficult to find a better doctor. On top of this he is also an educator and a good one

Dr. Periklis is highly skilled and experienced oral surgeon and dentist . Professional with good communication skills and he makes his patient feel at ease with a soft tone and the kindest smile. Dr. "Peri" did a full set , top and bottom dental implants for my husband , restoring his smile and Dr. Peri's office continues to help maintain his dental implants regularly. Dr. is honest and he will go the extra mile to do the job correctly and with a realistic approach he lays out your options and will give his honest opinion. Today , without hesitation he graciously took our youngest daughter in as an emergency patient to remove a metal spacer lodged in her gum. She is not his patient regularly. However, he took care of his patients daughter today. And he doesn't typically take pediatric. Shows his kind Heart. He was like a friend to our family today and we feel like he was doing us a favor . Dr and his staff are more personable than the typical dentist office. His team is very hard working and caring staff. Our family feels very blessed to be patients of Dr. Periklis Proussaefs and we highly recommend!!! read more

I've read the other reviews here and I just don't understand the negative comments at all. Here's my story... Back in 1991, Naval dentists had done poor quality work and filled teeth that didn't need to be filled based on a "just in case" excuse. Well, as the years went by, I moved to Santa Clarita. Cavities had formed under the fillings and as a result of the poor work done by the Navy and I was in a lot of pain and needed a lot of work done to fix it up. In 2002, I went for an emergency dentist appointment due to teeth breaking and excruciating pain. This is where I was worked on by Dr. Perry when he worked at a dental office in Saugus. He did such great work that the owner of the office would call his other dentists over to my chair to see the quality work Dr. Perry had done on me. There was NO PAIN when Dr. Perry worked on me. Later Dr. Perry started his own practice in Oxnard. That's a little more than an hour away from home for me. Dr. Perry cleans my whole family's teeth every 6 months. He takes all four of us at the same time, and has even held his office open late to accommodate us, because he knows just how far we travel to be worked on by him. He's a very nice guy, very accommodating, and best of all - there's NO PAIN, EVER!!! I can't say too much about how great it is to be worked on by Dr. Perry. I've told him I'd follow him wherever his practice takes him, and I mean that! read more

I feel as though Dr. Proussaefs saw my dental problem as a moneymaking opportunity for himself. He wanted to pull a broken tooth, grind down the two adjacent healthy teeth and make a bridge to replace the whole thing. It was overkill, but it sure would have been a nice payday for him! Thankfully I got a second opinion from another dentist. My new dentist said, "If that was MY tooth I wouldn't pull it!" I went to them for a Panoramic X-Ray (Panorex) All I needed was a blueprint of my jawline for my surgeon. They gave me the best quote in town, everyone else wanted to charge me to get panels and speak to the dentist, but these people did what I asked. The staff was really nice and hospitable, as far as a Panorex goes, HANDS DOWN I recommend them. read more

I just got back from an appointment at Pacific View Dental Group and want to share my experience there. Have been a client there for about eight years. Prior to that I had many years of experience with other dental offices, some good and some better. I would rank Pacific View Dental among the best for several reasons. 1) The front office is very friendly and accommodating. Wait times are always reasonable. 2) The staff are very professional and they all enjoy their work. 3) Dr Perry is probably the most knowledgeable I've seen in the industry. His wide range expertise in all aspects of dentistry is impressive. He and his associate doctors work with state of the art equipment and can do almost every type of dental procedure in -house. (Here's an example: if you have ever had a crown, you know it requires sticking several goopy, yucky materials in you mouth to get a tooth impression. Not at this office. They do this with a special camera to get a perfect impression. No goop, no gagging! 4) Cost - I don't like to overpay for anything. But often times you get what you pay for. Of course another dentist will tell you he or she can do it for less or you didn't need that procedure - most likely they want your business. I would rather have a quality procedure (after all - I have to live with it!). I hope this helps those who are undecided. read more

I've been going to Pacific View Dental for the last six years for dental cleanings and dental work. They are fabulous! Ash, the dental hygienist, is so professional, gentle and efficient. The staff is professional and friendly, providing excellent customer service. Many of the employees have been there a long time, which, to me, indicates a good, healthy working environment. Dr. Proussaefs is the most skilled and capable dentist you can find . He is actually a Prosthodontist and after years of being treated by doctors who were simply not skilled enough or just didn't care , I finally know what that is ! He specializes in complex dental treatments and that is exactly the type of Doctor I was looking for . I am so happy I found Dr. Proussaefs. He was able to correct my implants, which were previously placed incorrectly by another dentist and the crowns he placed on top match my other teeth perfectly . His staff is friendly and really goes out of their way to help and make you feel comfortable . They even filed my treatment with my insurance and got portion of it paid . What more can I ask for . Again , I am really glad I found this amazing doctor and they really deserve 5 stars for the work and service they provide . read more

Worst customer service. After 3 years coming here and thousands of dollars spent, I was treated in the worst possible manner. I had been charged an additional fee by mistake on my last visit, and my wife had already talked to the office regarding that issue and was told that she could just come in and pay for the difference after my next cleaning. The day of my cleaning appointment, the super abrasive new girl at the counter asked that I pay up front for the services; I explained to her that my wife would be coming by later to pay since they owed us money for having charged us more by mistake... the girl at the counter said that I needed to pay or they wouldn't go ahead with the cleaning! mind you, I had been going there for 3 years so I was shocked... I asked to talk to Dr. Periklis to explain the situation... here's the best part: the Dr. goes ahead and sides with the secretary and even says to me "you wouldn't go to a restaurant, and expect to get served food without paying" and other things like "too many of my collegues have gone broke becauuse they allowed this" etc.. I couldn't believe it... they essentially made it seem like I was trying to get free dental service!?! I have insurance for godsake! so anyway, that's when I thanked him, and asked that they prepare all my 3 years worth of dental history for me to pick up and go elsewhere. By the way, I'm giving him 2 stars and not 1 star because the actual dental work was excellent... but it doesn't matter how good of a dentist you are if you can't treat your patients with respect. read more

I am writing on behalf of my husband. He went there once for a general cleaning and they insisted on deep cleaning. Six months later, ant again for general cleaning and insisted again on a deep cleaning. My husband refused and they kept pressuring him to get a deep cleaning that they also said was going to cost $600 out of pocket (this is with insurance). As he refused, they then tried to get him to sign a waiver saying that he is going against their recommendation and that they cannot be responsible for any teeth that may fall out. Scammers!!!! Did I mention they did all this without looking into his mouth??? Husband has never had a cavity. read more

A good dentist is hard to find, I realized that after I moved away from Ventura to the valley and I had to look for another dentist. New places I went to were either "pushy" or unacommadating, so it's strange to see others share negative experiences. For 6 years I have been seeing Dr. Proussaefs and his staff, and they have all been very nice to me and have maintained a relaxed, professional environment. Best dentist office I have been, secretarial staff very kind, hospitable (I do not know why in most doctors offices staff kind of snob/rude, is it just me or is the norm for them to be rude?) here they take time to explain stuff in detail. Doctors very gentle, the female dentist I saw super kind whatever issues I had with dentists before all gone after she treated me. The cool thing they have all or at least most "specialists" or "experts" inside so they do not kick you to go from place to place for specialty work. Very clean inside. Lucky I found them. read more

I had just moved to Ventura County & was looking for a dentist to remove wisdom teeth. I looked in my company's Blue Cross list of providers and picked Dr. Periklis Proussaefs. They are a bunch of scammers! They numbed me with shots only and removed all 4 teeth. A day later, I noticed something was scraping my tongue. I looked in the mirror and saw that he left a tooth fragment sticking out of my gums! I went back to his office and he removed it. It's nice to know he's so thorough, NOT! A couple months later, I went online to my Blue Cross account and saw that he had billed my insurance company for general anesthesia which means I was out for the whole procedure. How unethical! Greedy SOB. I was awake the whole time! He did NOT give me general anesthesia. He only gave me lidocaine shots to numb the area, which is cheaper than being put to sleep, yet he billed my insurance company an excessive amount for the "anesthesia." Before I found out what he had billed my insurance company, I had gone back to him for a routine checkup and they wanted to charge me $3000 for some work on my teeth saying that I had a huge cavity and I needed a root canal and fillings. Root canal?? I take care of my teeth and I am only 23 yrs old. I became suspicious and did not go back. Instead, I changed dentists. The new dentist I went to, said I only needed a minor filling and they said that Dr. Periklis Proussaefs was probably trying to rip me off b/c I seemed young and naive. read more
