She claimed I had really bad plaque build up, but little did she know I had a cleaning 3 months ago on Point Mugu right before I left the Navy. She scrubbed and scrapped my teeth as if I haven't brushed or had a cleaning in 3 years. My head hurt so bad I had to go to Walmart and buy a bottle of Tylenol before heading home. When I initially went in, they took probably 50 x-rays to finally get a view of my teeth. Fine,…read morewhatever. After they cleaned my teeth, my gums began bleeding profusely. I never had that problem to any significant degree prior. We're talking... big time. For months, actually. I've had others suggest that perhaps their instruments were not being properly sanitized. I can't say that's true or untrue. What I do know is: when I went in again to get my front teeth fixed, they were confused apparently, and tried to make a mold of my upper, left side molars instead. I let them know, well, fine, just a mix-up. Okay. So they did the mold on my upper front teeth, left it too long, and when they pulled it out, it really hurt and ended up breaking more of my front right incisor. That really upset me. That they have, typically (at least the 3 times I was there) an advertisement in their waiting room for a "chance to win a vacation if you give us a positive review" speaks volumes of their actual competence. That means a lot of the positive reviews here on Yelp. People just hoping to win something. It's pretty shameful. I would recommend finding an actual dentist who knows what they're doing and doesn't try to bribe you into giving them a good review here. I'd give them 0 stars if I could.
