I have been a patient for many years, I loved Dr. Maria, she was friendly and honest, never tried to push for additional things. I recently went for my 6 month check up and I was told its a new dentist now. I was shocked that I waited 45mins in the lobby, 30 mins in the chair before I finally got my cleaning. My appointment was at 9am and I left at 11:13am. I was so frustrated that I had to wait that long. I have never experienced that with Dr. Maria. Sadly i will have to look for another dentist office. OMG Ramon The office manager was extremely rude. I told him I'm not comfortable giving him my social security number, that another form of ID (like my employee number) is acceptable with my insurance. He said he's giving me a "heads up" and said he'll be asking for a social security number once I arrive. Again, I told him MetLife would accept my employer number instead of the SSN. Ramon just wouldn't let go and said that we'll be asking for the SSN when I arrive and then he grew frustrated that I would never be giving my SSN and then hung up on me Very unprofessional read more

Awful customer service experience. Wasted two hours on an initial consultation, which led to a deep cleaning recommendation. Issa, who performed my deep cleaning was the highlight of my experience with this establishment and the only positive exception to my overall negative experience. When I diligently tried to coordinate billing with my flexible spending account/insurance, I encountered multiple roadblocks, which ultimately led to multiple harassing phone calls from collections. I highly recommend researching other dental establishments. (But if you do have to go here due to insurance restrictions, consider requesting Issa as your technician - he's absolutely wonderful!) read more

Update, new staff. Dr. Yeaton is no longer at this office. At my previous appt (6 months before) I was told my teeth were perfect. Next check up with new staff, I was told I now have stage 1/2 perio and will need a deep cleaning that will cost a pretty penny (and no guarantees how much insurance will cover.) If I could leave zero stars I would. These dentists need to have a better office manager representing them. Ramon is extremely sassy and doesn't mind arguing with a potential patient. I was called by their office on Friday letting me know that I needed to call the insurance and be assigned to them before the visit on Monday. I let them know that I had already done that and the person I was speaking to told me that's not what they see in their end. So, I called the insurance and they said I AM assigned to their office. Well, today I called and spoke to Ramon and explained the prior conversation I had with someone on Friday. He said "I don't know who you spoke with but regardless your appointment is cancelled because our toilet flooded the office so there isn't anyone here". I told him if I was going to get a call letting me know about the cancellation and he responded with a disgusting attitude saying they did call. They called the wrong number. I don't know how, when Friday, they called the right number claiming we weren't assigned to their office. After that we argued about his nastiness and he told me to find another dentist. They will continue to lose patients with a person like him. I got a bad feeling about this office on Friday when I got the phone call. I should have followed my instincts and cancelled right then and there. I definitely will NOT give them business. read more

Last October, I went there for dental care. They told me they accepted my insurance (Delta Dental) and that I was eligible for a no cost cleaning and X-ray per the insurance plan. After the exam, I was presented with a $1200 treatment plan that was above and beyond what Delta Dental would pay. I asked them why it was so high and they gave me a lengthy explanation that the insurance only covered the basic treatment and that I needed "laser cleaning among other treatments" and these services were not covered. I told them to only do the basic cleaning as per insurance. I left the dentist and called a friend of mine ( a dentist in another state) and asked about the treatment. She said it was bs and an upsell. I called Delta Dental and was told there services were considered optional treatments and were not necessary. Very disappointed. Anyway, I went back for my basic service because it was "covered" and was assured everything was fine. 6 months later I get billing notification from Delta Dental informing me that they were not a covered provider. Additionally, I have received collection calls from debt collection services on behalf of Oxnard Smiles. This Dentist is a scam. Shame on their predatory practices and shame on them for lying about insurance coverage. DON'T GO THERE! read more

My mother died of a heritable brain tumor so I do not want to be x-rayed unnecessarily. I have good teeth and good oral hygiene and have not required fillings in the past 50 years. I made an appointment for a check up and cleaning and told the associate I spoke to that I would not have x-rays. Today I drove for one hour to this office to learn that Dr. Yale would not perform a dental exam or authorize a cleaning without x-rays. I'm not a dentist, but have a PhD in a life science and cannot imagine why a simple exam and cleaning would require x-rays, nor can I imagine why a thinking health professional would not agree that someone with a family history of glioblastoma should minimize their x-ray exposure. My guess is that. Insurance and private pay for x-rays is lucrative business. I'll find a dentist intent on providing professional care that takes the health of the whole person into account. read more

Worst experience of my life tried them. Once was insulted by male receptionist told him just clean my teeth. They took multiple x-rays. They were not covered by my insurance and did not tell me then they told me that I need orthodontic work which my dentist that I just left a month before said was wrong then I just found out that I owe them $158 and they never even cleaned my teeth. Had a root canal and crown done at this location. I was in a bit of a time crunch when scheduling, and Ramon and the team got me in last moment. The team was all great and caring, and I felt like I was in good hands the entire time. I've been following Dr. Yeaton for as long as I can remember. And when I say follow, I mean me & my entire family now drive 30 min instead of 5 just to get to our 6 month cleaning. Refused to clean my teeth unless I agreed to services that were not covered by my insurance. This was after I went through an unnecessary round of x-rays since they already had x-rays from only a year ago. Extremely hard sell on implats and always need a "deep cleaning" which I had less than a year ago. Once they realized that I wanted only a routine cleaning covered by (Blue Cross) They refused to clean my teeth but offered to find me another provider. To be honest it's not just this place but many dental facilities do not want customers who will not pay for out of pocket services and only want services covered by their insurance. read more
