I chose Clove Dental because of their outstanding five star ratings after my long time Dentist retired. I have now seen Dr. Dilip Patel twice and I greatly appreciate his perfectionism, gentleness and his kindness! He even called me in the early evening after some major Dental work earlier in the day, personally to check on me. The staff is also cheerful, friendly, professional, and very helpful. From David, my Dental Hygienist and Caroline who assisted Dr. Patel in my fillings, to Jen and Adriana at the front desk. I will soon need to repair or replace a cracked crown and will definitely be choosing Dr. Dilip Patel again as my dentist for his continued care. read more

This was the WORST experience I've ever had at a dental office! First, when I called to make an appointment, I got an AI who only gave me one option - when I called back just a few minutes later, AI said that ALL the appointments were fill until AUGUST - which was NOT true as I was able to book an appointment on-line on the day I could go as I work during the week. I've been to this office many times several years ago, but NOT since "CLOVE" took over. There was no one in the waiting room when I arrived - 2 receptionist who looked like they'd just graduated high school - one had on LONG FAKE eyelashes - VERY unprofessional. She showed me to the chair - didn't even say my name, just took a couple of x-rays of the place where the cap had fallen off and I only wanted to replace it, but she didn't seem to be interested in me as a person, only as just another body with teeth - or not. Then this very young girl walks in and tells me she's the dentist - again, didn't introduce herself, or ask me anything about me - just looked at the x-rays, said I had to have 2 TEETH PULLED and walked out. (I didn't want to be impolite and as her age, or when (IF) she'd graduated dental school... or where - I was wearing jeans older than her) When Miss fake lashes returned, she was carrying an ipad with the quote... $2,000!!! Said my insurance didn't cover something about bone reconstruction?!?! No one suggested any alternative treatment, or other ways I could save money, they were only interested in HOW MUCH I WOULD PAY. Nevermind the fact I'm over 70, on a very fixed income LOW budget - there was NO personal communication whatsoever. This might me the "new" GenX mentality of customer service, but it is in NO WAY what I'm going to spend whatever money I do have on these snowflakes. Go back to school and learn how to communicate with patients or you won't have any problems - OR patients to communicate with ! read more

I just decided to walk into inquire about pricing for a new patient without dental insurance. I was pleasantly surprised by the very reasonable pricing and the ladies at the front desk found a spot for me same day in the afternoon! Great customer service. Dr. Jilbert was very personable and he did a fantastic cleaning. The assistant was gentle and wonderful too. I didn't experience any pain which is usually par for the course, but this was different. If you are anxious at dental offices and getting dental services, I recommend coming here. I will be back in 6 months with no reservations to do so! read more

Clove dental is so easy to deal with! And if you have an issue, they bring you right in to make sure everything is healing properly. I had some painful work done on Monday and on Friday it was still bothering me and just didn't feel right. I called the office and they told me to come in that afternoon. Dr. O was so considerate and conscious of my discomfort. She took her time and explained everything, which I really appreciated. Turns out I needed stronger antibiotics and pain medicine, which they sent straight to my pharmacy. I'm so happy I found this office in Thousand Oaks. Got me in promptly and didn't have to wait long in reception. Dental techs were nice. My dental work seems good but the dentist was very aggressive with me. I had more pain from the way the dentist held and moved my cheek and tongue than from the procedure. I developed a canker sore and my tongue hurt for the following week. Eating was painful. Another time I went and got the same dentist and again he was aggressive and hurt me and was kind of rude to the tech. Would not go back here for this very reason. read more

I've seen both dentist at the office and they both are very friendly and extremely supportive. They both explain what is going on to help me understand where we're at in the appointment. I STRONGLY advise against visiting this dental office. While the dentist provided okay care, the office staff demonstrated unethical practices regarding insurance and billing. They attempted to bypass my insurance coverage and aggressively upsold orthodontic treatment, claiming it was medically necessary to prevent future major dental issues. Despite my repeated inquiries about insurance coverage--at least five separate assurances that my plan would not cover braces--I later confirmed that my insurance does, in fact, include orthodontic benefits. Unfortunately, I trusted their guidance and did not verify sooner. And I was still given the runaround by the office staff, despite having confirmed coverage with my insurance provider myself. After discovering this, I was asked to return the clear aligners. When I did return the aligners (about a week after this was discovered, because their orthodontist was out of town), I was promised a full refund. Since September, I have made countless calls and sent multiple emails requesting documentation, receipts, and updates, but have received non-answers or no response. This lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable. In my experience, this office prioritizes profit over patient care. If you value ethical treatment and financial integrity, I recommend seeking dental services elsewhere. Save yourself the headache. read more

I went to them for a consult for Oral Surgery. I paid them $300 of my own money for a CT scan , even though I hand carried one I had done the day prior at another Surgeons office. i went back 2 weeks later for a copy of it for another Dentist to look at. There were over 8 elderly patients in the hallway , no chairs complaining that they were waiting for hours. Inside the crowded waiting area , tbe Receptionist was on the phone screaming at someone. When I got her attention, and asked for my CT and the bathroom key , she threw them at me, hitting me in the chest, yes., a breast cancer patient. I even thanked her. And the people in the crowded lobby all said to me- " she has been yelling at all of us" Unbelievable. Today , 2 months later, I received a call , telling me, that I owed them another $350, because I decided not to use them for my Oral Surgery. Sounds like a shake down to me. read more

Poor care for patients with Medical. Took almost 4 months and 6 visits and still do not have my dentures. Cancel appointment 4 hour prior to visit. My Son took time off from work to take me to visit and get call from clinic that doctors will not be here and only available once a week. Not acceptable for any patients and front desk is very rude. They bought my old dentist's practice in Encino. I was in the chair, getting ready for an implant, when they presented me with a bill to pay that was double the quoted fee, thousands more. They also didn't catch the infected tooth next to the implant. I left before the doctor did the work. Now, at my new dentist and Clove not only refused to send over the X-rays, but claim they never heard of me or my husband after many years there. read more

After a recent crown at Clove I noticed a pain in the nearby tooth that came and went. I put off going back because I hoped it would just stop. However, on a recent trip camping at high altitude the pain got very bad. When I went down to sea level the pain went away. I made an appointment with Clove and at one point told the dentist that I had found a description of high altitude tooth pain on the internet. His comment "You can find anything on the internet". Very dismissive. They didn't do anything and I am changing dentists. I hope that my next high altitude trip isn't ruined by this issue. An additional comment.
