I had an appointment cancelled a few months ago because a hygienist was unable to work. Understandable. However, they were unable to reschedule me for several months. Obviously my original appointment was because I needed some attention paid to my teeth. I noticed that their policy is that if I were to cancel 24 hours before my appointment, I would be liable for paying 75 dollars. I pointed this conflict out and it was admitted that there is a double standard but one she is happy with. A business model. I would like a dentist that was concerned with providing timely dental care to their patients and not solely following the profit business model. After being a patient of Dr. Mary White for 5 years and being told every 4 months after my cleaning that everything was great, the following happened: we found a new dentist with state of the art equipment. The doctor found 1 cavity, 2 previous root canals with minor infection, and 2 leaking crowns . Between the new dentist and endodontist treatments, it will cost about $8,000 to $10,000. All of this had existed for some time, but without the more modern equipment, it would have remained undiagnosed. So remember, no news isn't always good news! read more

Horrible experience. She redid my crown with a giant food Gap. She made me sign something saying if fit while I was still numb immediately after placing the crown. I went back to ask her to redo it and she refused. Only 6 months later I went to another dentist and they said The prep was incredibly inadequate and the crown was installed on top of a rotting tooth. It had to be redone. I found out when it was redone that she overcharged me by $250 for the crown she did. Trash dentist. read more

Excellent first visit. Great customer care, a very nice open lobby and friendly staff. My hygienist was wonderful, and the doctor was very communicative and honest and friendly. Don't care for the TVs, but there was no volume and it was a nature show so it wasn't an issue. Can we choose what we want to watch or to turn them off? Looking forward to having care here, and that's saying something. Now that my old Dentist no longer takes my insurance I had to make a switch and while I appreciate and love the Care at the old place, I need to make sure my insurance can cover as much dental as possible! Was late for appointment. Rescheduled for noon the following month.. They called the day before the new appointment and said I could not come in unless I paid $45 missed appointment fee. Their advertised rate is $27, not $45. I said I would pay the normal rate of $27, not $45. After some back and forth, they agreed. While talking to them, I discovered my appointment had been moved up to ll:30. No one had notified me of time change. At my appointment, I asked about veneers. Mary said her office manager would call with some pricing. I never heard from her. Will be looking for dentist with better customer service skills. read more

I had a great first visit with Dr Mary White today. I haven't been to the dentist in a ...well let's say a decade or so, and I was nervous about being tooth shamed :) She was gentile, friendly and explained every process - she took x-rays and did my first cleaning. There were parts of my teeth that I thought were cavities, but are now white due to them being cleaned properly and finally. Dr White is guiding me on my way to some more complicated dental issues ( due to still having 2 of my baby teeth at 52 !) and I am really happy that she was recommended not only by my boss, but a number of my clients. Called for a first time visit/cleaning. Asked them to check my insurance and everything checked out. The day of my appointment I left work 2 hours early, drove 30 mins in traffic only to be told that there was a problem with my insurance when I had arrived IN OFFICE. Nobody called to inform me prior. I Left there upset. no cleaning or services were done. Waste of time. New year different insurance I thought i'd give them a second chance, big mistake. I called for a cleaning and scheduled. 2 days before was told by text message I had a 75 dollar fee for prior appt missed? What?? First time I had heard this in 6 months. No call or mail? I called immediately and explained I was there and they didn't do their due diligence by checking my insurance like I had first asked when I originally called. They not only dropped the ball but tried to blame me and charge me for a mistake on their end that could have been avoided had they checked my insurance when I called. Horrible. I immediately canceled after talking to a staff member who was no help and informed me I wouldn't be allowed services if the 75 dollars was not paid. Canceled. Moving on. read more

Worst dentist I have ever gone to. Please go somewhere else if you want good dental work. She replaced three crowns for me. Two of them fell off within weeks and the third one she put on over a cavity and it has to be replaced. I would have gone back to have her fix her errors but when I showed up for my appointment they told me I had cancelled it which I never did. Then they wouldn't reschedule in a timely manner. I found a wonderful dentist that has fixed two of her mistakes and will fix the third one next week. I would give her zero stars if that were possible. Dr. Mary White and her team make me feel like family every time I walk in the door. You will be greeted with smiles, kindness, and usually some homemade cookies. I have never felt more welcomed in a dental or medical environment. They remember details about my personal life. In addition, the office is always impeccably clean and pristine. They will even show you movies or TV shows during your appointment! They take time to make sure that my smile and cleaning is thorough and that I always see Dr. White before I leave. I have never felt rushed. Once, due to the fact that I changed my number, I showed up to the office and my appointment had been cancelled because I had not responded with a confirmation. They were able to fit me into the schedule and accommodate the miscommunication. I was so appreciative (especially because I was 8 months pregnant at the time! This has to be the most dishonest Dentist in the County and maybe the State of California. I have been a patient for years and all of my Dental work that was done is starting to fall apart. I had a Crown that broke within a month after being Installed and every time I went in for my appointment or the day of my appointment the office girl Dawn called and rescheduled me for another day. It was about 8 times that I have been rescheduled which was Dr white Goal of not having to replace my crown after she had promised me That she will replace it at no cost. I recently moved to Ventura and needed to find a new dentist. I have always been nervous at the dentist office and was weary about trying a new place. Dr. White's staff was very friendly and accommodating when making the appointment. I mixed up the appointment time and was 20 minutes late. They did not make me feel bad at all about the mistake and were still able to see me for a cleaning and exam. Everyone at the office was friendly and professional. The office is nicely decorated, very clean and made me feel comfortable. The teeth cleaning was gentle but thorough. A previous dentist told me I needed to replace all my fillings for medical purposes with white ones. It was going to cost a fortune so I kept putting it off. Dr. White assured me this was not necessary and my fillings were perfectly fine. Replacing them with white ones would only be for aesthetic reasons. I appreciated her honestly and was relieved to hear I did not need any work done. She definitely cares about the patient's health and not making $$ off unnecessary work. Dr. White and her staff even gave me great recommendations for local stores since they knew I had just moved to the area. Dr White was a God send for me! I was in town to attend a criminal trial and my bridge fell out this morning at the courthouse. I live 3 hours away and will be here the whole week. Can you say FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. We moved here and were looking for a new dentist, which most of us know is the scariest kind of situation. We had even been driving back to our hometown 1-1/2 hours away the last 4 years because we were so scared of making the switch. My husband and i Felt like we knew her and she knew us for years after only our first visit. YES, she was that GOOD! #3 When we met Dr. White after our cleanings we were again both beyond happy. I have learned to hate going to the dentist and to expect unsympathetic intense pain. I was horrified when I lost my crown, but my wife told me to give Dr. White a try, so I did. Our whole family has gone for teeth cleanings and really enjoy her as a dentist. She's very knowledgeable! The office is clean like a location that you want to go to. The staff is very friendly and they're there to answer your questions for you. About a couple weeks ago I had a little filling fell out of one of my teeth. I was excited to make an appointment with this Dentist to become a new patient and get a cleaning. They said that they are keeping appointments spaced out for covid-19 and would call me back and set an appointment with me. They did and we booked an appointment 4 weeks out. The week of they text messaged me to confirm about 3 days prior to the appointment if I was still able to make it and I said yes and confirmed. The following day they contacted me and said that they could no longer keep the appointment and only had an earlier one. I have to give my work more notice in advance before I can take time off, so I told them I have to cancel the appointment and contact my manager. I called them back a few hours later and asked if they had anything the following week and they said they were booked monday thru wednesday but would look at thursday and friday and call me back. They never did. It sounds like they are disorganized and can't accept anything outside of what they have easily available then and now to have you come in. They never called back. I figured they wouldn't return my call again and contacted another dentist. No problems, made an appointment, confirmed it, got a cleaning and new patient exam and everything was smooth. I cannot recommend their services but find it difficult to recommend them at all, if they are this difficult in booking a simple cleaning appointment. New Patients be aware! read more

I found my dentist! I had my first appointment with Dr. White and it was the best dental check up experience I ever had! Each treatment chair has a TV in front so you can watch a movie through your check up. The staff including Dr. White are super friendly. I have very sensitive teeth but I barely felt a thing. I read all the great reviews and made my appointment in early May. It was a wonderful experience. I was seen promptly by the hygienist and she did an excellent job. It was determined that I needed a deeper cleaning that needed insurance approval. The dentist then came in and looked things over and was very friendly and good at her job. So what is my issue? I quickly received an EOB from my insurance saying they were waiting for information from the dentist and that the dentist was informed. That's normal. I forgot about this until September when I called the office. They told that they sent the information and never heard back. They called me back and told me that they were having trouble getting information from the insurance company. I called the insurance company and they had not received any information from the dentist's office. I called the insurance company again a few days later and they had just received the information, but it's now stale and I need to have my gums probed again. Ugh! Not fun. I certainly understand office errors, but I don't appreciate BS. If someone forgot to send it in, just be honest and say so. Unless I'm looking for some specialist, I'm looking for a good professional with an excellent front office that can schedule enough time for appointments and get the insurance taken care of properly. That's not easy to do when your job is to stick needles into a persons mouth and tell them they need to floss or brush better. On the other hand, when the dentist bakes cookies for her patients every morning and is SUPER nice, plus has an excellent reputation for being thorough AND honest (my wife works in the field and confirms), taking a shot to the mouth and a little oral care advice ain't so bad. I definitely recommend this place whether you have insurance or need to pay cash. I mean what better name is there for a dentist then Dr. White? I've had a family dentist that I've gone to for years but I was recently looking for a little bit of cosmetic services and of course was searching on Yelp.
