I'm so glad I came to Dr Weitzman based on referrals from 2 friends. I just got done with my 2nd root canal with him and didn't feel a thing! He's so gentle and takes his time to explain everything. I've had a lot of work done in past by many dentists (in 3 counties) but I've never had a dentist like Dr. Weitzman. He will be my forever dentist. I even decided to bring in my son who I pay cash for. I have insurance where he can go do other dentists but I want him to have a positive experience and build a relationship with an amazing dentist like Dr Weitzman so he can always be happy to go. I've been going to Dr. Mark for years. I now love going to the dentist AND having my teeth cleaned. Super excited he's into helping people with sleep apnea too. He made an oral sleep device for me about 4 months ago and I couldn't be happier. I've lost weight & my headaches have diminished significantly. Thank you Dr Mark! UPDATE 10-31-18 Dr Mark got me in within an hour. I hadn't been wearing my Sleep Apnea device as I thought it would pull off the temporary crown. Of course my headaches have come roaring back but I received a call back within 30 minutes. I got in within the hour, had my device fitted & cleaned and am so reassured now. I went to see Dr. Weitzman to have a crown fixed that would not stay in my mouth. He was excellent and fixed the crown so now it is permanently affixed to my mouth. His skills in creating a crown are second to none. I had a second one put in and it is beautiful and fits well. The reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 5 is because I hate feeling pressured to have things done that I do not think need to be done. From day one, they wanted to replace fillings that I had just had replaced by another dentist, pushing to have crowns done that I didn't feel it needed to be done. Eddie in the financial part of the office kept pushing me to make the appointments to get this work done. l have insurance but my part of the payment was so high I just can't have work done that I don't feel I need. I am 70 years old so I don't feel that i need to have all this work done just for cosmetic reasons. So I left his practice and went to a new dentist in Ventura who found that I have a gum problem on one of back teeth and is referring me to a gum specialist. My gums were never evaluated in Dr. Weitzman's office which I thought was standard procedure. There were a few other things found that were not previously found. I will not see another dentist if he has Cosmetic Dentistry on his profile as they seem to forget about the general dentistry part. Addendum to previous review. I finally got the bill from in insurance and it turns out that mt insurance paid for a metal crown because it's the last molar in the back. When Dr. Weitzman was placing the crown in I mentioned that it was weird that the insurance approved a white crown. He said nothing. They told me when the crown was first started that my part was $895. I knew my insurance paid $800 for crown so I thought I would get a refund of the $800 but I only got about $100 back. So I figured that they charged me for white crown but never consulted me to see what I wanted. So the $895 was the difference between a white crown and the metal one that the insurance approved. That should have been discussed with me before the process was started. I trusted this man and he totally disappointed me in his business dealings. On top of that they used a mouthpiece due to Covid that they charged $35 but they put the wrong size in my mouth and the plastic cut up my mouth. When I complained about it they oh we should have given you a medium. When I went back for the crown they used a medium and charged me another $35! This office is just trying to milk every dime out if you. I should have given a 1 star!! Beware. Make sure you get in writing what they are charging you cause getting a refund is extremely difficult. read more

I had my wisdom tooth removed today it was simple and smooth. Mark is a complete gentleman and explained the process of the extraction. Alondra, his assistant is so sweet and genuinely a people person. They have a dental chair that massages you with the optional high or low heater. The office is spacious and modern. I am nervous nelly so I asked if my boyfriend can be in the same room during the extraction and they said yes. Mark is a respectful dentist by introducing himself to my boyfriend and making sure we both understood the extraction process and post operation instructions. Alondra went over the instructions in full detail and if I had any concerns to call the office. The process of the extraction was over in 10 minutes. I am so impressed with this organization! First, I made my appointment for my initial consultation. Upon my arrival I signed in, and was invited to make a cup of coffee!? AND a cookie! Once I was called back they took all of the needed xrays, which was without any pain at all the tech was very gentle and kind. After all was completed the dentist came in and had a seat and explained all of the work I needed to have done. He (Mark) was very attentive to all of my questions and concerns. I might add, he's the first dentist that I've ever used that was very open to talking about and in touch with the financial aspects of his practice. I was pleasantly surprised by this. Onto today and my actual appointment... My appointment started with seeing the hygienist first for my cleaning. I never thought I'd ever say that getting my teeth cleaned would be pleasant, but now I can. Very attentive to the "ouchy" places not to mention just being kind. Before I knew it my cleaning was finished and was walked back to where I needed a couple of cavities filled. If you've read any of my previous reviews you know I can be quite passionate. Our whole family has been going to Dr. Weitzman for several years and we are very happy. He is very friendly and enthusiastic and seems to love his work. Everyone on his staff is great and very welcoming also. The office is clean, bright, and has the latest equipment like digital x-rays. They do nice touches like pre-numb your mouth before getting shots, putting on goggles so nothing gets in your eyes when they're drilling and even neck pillows if you want one. I've been a patient with Dr. Weitzman for nearly a decade and my experiences just keep getting better. Today I accidentally missed my appointment, but was conveniently rescheduled for later the same day. I needed a few teeth drilled and filled and was led to a reclining chair with multiple massage modes. The "wave" mode almost put me to sleep. Even when I opted out of a novocaine shot, I was comfortable in Dr. Weitzman's skill to keep my pain to a minimum.
