After my bad experience at Greater Ventura Oral Surgery, I am so GLAD to come here!! Upon entering the office, I was greeted by friendly staff. As I waited, they kept me informed how much longer I had to wait (which wasn't long). When I got to the examination room, the dentist came in immediately introduced himself and shook my hand. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and took his TIME to answer all my questions. I was so at ease with how he treated me! I had no qualms about trusting him and what he was saying. I would HIGHLY recommend coming here!! read more

5 Stars - Truly Exceptional Oral Surgery Experience. I had an outstanding experience with Dr. Jacobs, DDS, MS. and his incredible team today. From the moment I walked in, I could feel the positive, healing energy of the office--it's not something you encounter often, and it made a big difference for me. Dr. Jacobs is a true professional who doesn't mess around when it comes to precision and care, yet he brings warmth, kindness, and a great sense of humor to the table, which instantly put me at ease. His staff reflects the same energy--cordial, compassionate, and genuinely attentive. They were extremely accommodating and sensitive to my unique medical situation, which I really appreciated. If you're looking for a surgeon who blends skill with heart, this is the place. I can't recommend them highly enough. They're doing something very right here--not just healing teeth, but helping people feel good again. Teeth are kind of important as you know. read more

Was referred to Dr. Jacobs for a tooth extraction by my regular dentist. My last tooth extraction took about 45 minutes to do and needed several injections of novocaine so I had a lot of anxiety about being here. I was first taken back by Nicole who was very nice and very professional. I was also impressed by the friendly staff and the positive office environment. I then met Dr. Jacobs who explained the procedure and I was really impressed by his confidence, it put me at ease. After 3 injections he began the procedure. He worked on the tooth for about 5 minutes then looked at me and said he was done. I was shocked, I couldn't believe he removed the tooth so fast and with such ease. Overall a very good experience. I highly recommend this place. read more

I had wisdom teeth removal here and it was an amazing experience. I don't do well with doctors or surgery or needles or anything like that, but everyone on my team was so nice and reassuring. They wiped my tears for me and held my hand when the doctor put the iv in. I'm a very hard stick and he got it in on the first try! They answered all my questions thoroughly, and explained every step of the process before doing it. I have a broken hip, and they made sure I was very comfortable before they put me to sleep. Amazing place and amazing staff. They even gave me a little goodie bag to take home with chapstick a bottle and a blenders gift card! If I ever need dental surgery again I will 100% be back read more

I had been postponing my wisdom teeth extraction due to fear of the procedure for years. I'm glad my dentist referred me over to Pacific Oral Surgery. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by their friendly staff which definitely helped calm my nerves. Dr. Jacob's staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and made the process very straight forward. Dr. Jacobs himself is very professional, friendly and willing to answer any questions or concerns you may have. I got all 4 wisdom teeth extracted and I'm so glad I did! After the surgery I was given a goodie bag with all the essential items that I would be needing (gauze, ice packs, rinsing syringe) and a Jamba Juice gift card! Definitely will be recommending him to friends and family. read more

Office would not see my son who is in alot of pain. Had dental office call for oral referral and they still would not see him. Horrible place to go if your in need of a oral surgeon for an emergency. No one likes to see their children in pain I even explained his trip to e.r. last night. They are not very compassionate, that being said this place is a hard no for that reason alone. read more

While the staff is very friendly, the experience was outrageously and unnecessarily painful. I have never been afraid to go to the dentist and needles do not bother me under normal circumstances. The surgeon was friendly, but he didn't use any topical numbing and he didn't wait after the first shot to let it take effect before doing the other shots. It felt like I was being stabbed over and over again. The second appointment was also terribly painful. My mouth was swollen for nearly a week the first time. This time, it seems to just be bruised. The surgeon was fast, but I won't ever go back. read more

I have always been terrified by dental work. The buzzing and drilling, don't get me started on water and air. Well my mouth didn't care about my feelings towards dental work. Sunday, in the middle of this global pandemic my wisdom tooth decided to be angry at me. From the swelling and excruciating pain, I had not been able to have a meal without prepping my mouth with oral gel and taking something for pain. I called Monday morning to Pacific Oral Surgery in Ventura to explain my situation and understanding availability might be tight with everything going on. Monica was very sweet to work something out for me that Friday. My appointment turned into a consultation that gave us time to prepare for 2 extractions with a side of sedation . (Ps I was born with only my 2 lower wisdom tooth) We created a care plan for my not so happy wisdom tooth. I obviously don't remember much but I was able to have brief interaction with the staff scheduled for my procedure and they were great. I was so nervous I could not stop talking. I'm not going to lie and say I am pain free. However thanks to the amazing care I received I am comfortable and onto recovery. I strongly believe that the care from your dental or health provider is the key to recovery. From the front desk Monica helping me understand my benefits to Dr. Jacobs and his wonderful assistants giving me a sense of relief and walking me through my procedure. I'm glad I will not be needing any more extractions. I am also please to say I will recommend everyone to go here if you're seeking oral surgery because it has been 12 hrs since my extractions and I feel amazing. Thank you Pacific Oral Surgery VENTURA read more

Dr Carlson DDS MD and staff were the BEST! Being one that is filled with anxiety when it comes to dental procedures from cleanings to fillings, imagine how I felt when my dentist said I had to have 2 of my wisdom teeth extracted?! Dr Carlson explained that when being put under "Twilight anesthesia" I would not feel or have any recollection of the procedure. In fact when being brought out of the anesthesia, I asked if it was finished... This was the best dental procedure I've ever been through! When the time comes to have my remaining wisdom teeth removed, I will definitely go back to Dr Carlson! read more

Dr Carlson & staff are amazing! If you need an oral surgeon no need to look any further. I was initially referred to another oral surgeon that is in Thousand oaks and was told while on the phone making the appointment to be prepared to pay $250.00 for the consultation. My consultation with Dr. Carlson was covered by my insurance; therefore, no out of pocket charge for the consult. During my consult Dr. Carlson (& his amazing assistant, I forgot her name) took their time and explained all of my options. Next, their billing person provided me with a written estimate of all of the costs which came out to be 100% accurate (that never happens)! Dr. Carlson managed to extract my 2 cracked molars without any pain during the procedure and minor soreness the next day. Didn't need the pain prescription! See you in 3 months for the implants. Thanks guys for being awesome :) read more

I am a 51 year old who had 2 wisdom teeth pulled on Wednesday of this week by Dr. Jacobs. I can't believe I'm writing this on Friday with absolutely no pain - none! I took Advil after arriving home and into the evening on Wednesday and woke up Thursday with just a bit of soreness but nothing that required any additional Advil. I'm shocked! How did I get 2 wisdom teeth pulled out of my head and not have any pain? Amazing! The best part is I arrived for my 11:30 appt and was back in my car at 11:50! It was the fastest and easiest dentist appt I've ever had in my life - and I've had root canals! Bravo to this practice - great staff and very efficient! read more

5 stars is probably not enough for this oral surgery practice. I've been to both the Simi office and had my wisdom teeth removed at the Thousand Oaks office. Both offices have wonderful staff, quick consultations, even quicker X-ray technicians. Everyone I met there was lovely. I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Carlson. I have beyond difficult veins when it comes to the IV, and he was quick, efficient, and painless with just wonderful bedside manner. Same with his nurses, just great. Professional yet they do not make you feel like you're just another patient! The surgery itself was done beyond fast and with little to no pain. Overall wonderful staff and (knock on wood) if I was to ever need another oral surgery, these would be the first people to call! read more

I am 59 years old and have seen many dentists and doctors over the years. My experience with dr Jacobs and his staff was the very best I have ever had. He did an extraction on one side and an implant on the other side of my mouth. During the procedure there was no pain and I was extremely comfortable. My recovery was amazingly less than a week and required only Advil although he gave me a prescription in case I needed something stronger. I highly recommend this office! read more

Wonderful Dr. and staff! After going to a consultation with a different Oral Surgeon in Oxnard and tentatively scheduling the procedure, I felt like I needed to explore my options. I wasn't greeted in a friendly manner, and for me, working in the customer service field, that is extremely important! I don't want to feel like a number! When I looked online at different reviews for Oral Surgeons, Dr. Jacobs popped up and I immediately emailed his staff to schedule a consultation. I had emailed 4 other offices, and his friendly receptionist, Monica called me within minutes of sending the inquiry. She was very friendly and fit me in right away. When I arrived for the consult, I was pleasantly surprised as to how clean and orderly the office was. There wasn't a big crowd of people, I didn't have to wait 20 minutes to be seen and I was greeted in such a welcoming manner. Once I was checked in with Monica, a few minutes later, Soco the assistant, led me in to a room to ask a few questions before Dr. Jacobs went over my x-rays with me. She was so sweet and made me feel at ease! Dr. Jacobs came in and went through my x-rays more thoroughly than my own Dentist had, and really made it clear as to what would be done with the wisdom tooth procedure. At the end of the appointment, I asked Soco if she would be there for the surgery. She said, sure! So, a few weeks later, I arrived for my procedure, and there was Soco! She made me feel like everything would be okay, and Dr. Jacobs came in and made me feel at ease saying everything would be fine! Before I knew it, the procedure was over with, and I was on my way home to recover. Nearly 4 days later, I am feeling pretty good, not in very much pain, and so happy that all 4 wisdom teeth are out and that I do not have to worry about them causing me any trouble! I appreciate the thorough instructions given after the procedure, and feel like my surgical sites will be healed in no time. Thank you, Dr. Jacobs and staff! I highly recommend to anyone who needs any sort of oral surgery! read more
