Well after going here for 5 years, I always questioned the dentist after my last 3 cleaning the dentist didn't even come it to look at my mouth. But my wife said it's a good office. .....What good dentist doesn't even come see their patients..... I brought it up to my wife, her being a nurse saying if the hygienist didn't see anything then it's fine. Today my wife had a cleaning and was told she owed money for a missed appointment a few weeks ago after she had called them the day of letting them know her father just had passed away and couldn't make it. Yet today she had the make up appointment and the office lady that she has been talking to to reschedule told her she had to pay the late fee and she is sorry that it's policy left a bad taste in my wife's mouth. So my wife asked about waving the fee the front office gal started giving my wife grief so my wife stormed out. So I called today payed the late fee told them to cancel all our appointments.. Very disappointed in how this place operates overall. From not being seen by dentist to being disrespected, at least they called back to refund the late fee I paid. But if you're looking for a long term dentist office. I would not recommend this place. read more

I would give zero stars if we're allowed. Completely unaccommodated. I have a disability and they would not accommodate. Unfortunately I'm going to have to refer this to my attorney for American with disabilities act discrimination. They accommodated my daughter for her schooling schedule, but not would not accommodate me, as a paraplegic could easily been done, but showed no effort. When I expressed my dissatisfaction and request to cancel the appointment, all I got was will do no apologies. Single most unhelpful dentist office I've ever had the misfortune to visit. Let me quickly explain: Wanted exam without x-rays. That's a hard no, gotta have the x-rays. Recommendation from dentist was then to have 4 quadrants deep-cleaning, no suggestion to stagger this for insurance purpose. Asked for hygiene visit without deep-clean. That was a hard no and that point I decided this dentist was not for me and we parted ways. Visited another dentist and told them I'd had recommendation for Deep clean 4 quadrants. Their hygienist took a look and said not necessary and hygiene visit was A-OK. This dentist did exam without x-rays but said to send over the x-rays for information. So I called Elite to ask for the x-rays. They say I cannot have them until they receive money from my insurance. This is exactly the type of awkward and unhelpful response I'd expected and made me so happy that I'd parted ways with them. Once they finally release the x-rays I can forget about them forever which will make me happy. read more

I had a freak accident involving a metal water bottle and a horse, the one time a plastic bottle would have been better, that left my front tooth shattered, my gums cut open and me a mess. In a moment of panic and extreme urgency I was referred to Elite dentistry. They saw me immediately and did surgery that day to begin the process of getting my smile back - not an easy task especially with a sobbing client. For my career I am on TV a lot and so I was concerned with how it would look. And, it looks amazing, no one can tell now. Dr.L and his staff made sure the entire process was painful free not traumatizing. I can't thank them enough for taking care of me during such a traumatic experience, for fixing my teeth (via implant and more), and being so so incredibly kind. Going to the dentist has always been a pleasant experience thanks to Dr. Igal and his amazing staff! I'm always in-and-out super quick but I never feel rushed. Dr. Igal is an awesome guy with a friendly demeanor and with skills unlike any other. THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST DENTIST IN NEWBURY PARK!!!! He seated a crown for me and it never felt like it was seated properly. After returning to his office 3 times complaining that my bite was off, I let him convince me that the problem was all in my mind.I tried going to another dentist to remedy the problem but no one would touch me. So I was forced to return :-( Well, the $1000 crown broke today 7/27/2012 and I now have to have a new one made. I am sooo disappointed. There were many other mistakes that he made as well. Such As: Numbing the right side of my mouth to seat a crown on the left side of my mouth. The first Crown that he ordered for me did not fit had to re-seat right lower crown twice due to the first one breaking I could go on but I think you get the picture. In short: I ADVISE EVERYONE TO STEER CLEAR OF THIS DENTIST! On a positive note, His wife has a children's practice directly across the street from Sequoia Middle School. HER TECHNICIANS AND STAFF ARE EXCELLENT!!!! I WISH I WERE YOUNG ENOUGH TO ATTEND HER FACILITY. THEY REALLY DO AN EXCELLENT JOB THERE!!! Unfortunately, her office referred me to her husbands practice. Starting from the moment I walk in, I'm greeted with a smile and a hello. The front desk staff (Belinda & Priscilla) are always welcoming, so friendly and knowledgeable. Their ability to work with my schedule, get me in last minute and have all the insurance information ready and correct each and every time is fantastic! They do all of that with a smile and they make you feel like you are old friends catching up. Dr. L is truly amazing! I've been a patient of his for over 10 years because his knowledge, skill, patience and caring demeanor is shown through his actions and the way in which he gives clear and concise instructions. Honestly, I found this dentist office because I use to work up the street from them, past their office every day and thought it would be convenient. I called their office to make an appointment and 5 or so years later I am still a patient. The staff is amazing, never a bad experience with them. They are all kind, helpful and understanding. The dentist and hygienists are gentle, knowledgeable and take pride in their work. They really take the time to help you relax and give you the best dental care. I've been going to elite dentistry now for a while and I couldn't be happier. Front office staff is always smiling and greets you happily. The hygienist, Dentist and other staff are just as pleasant. They explain all procedures to me and all charges and what they are for. They are very, dating to my work schedule which has interfered with scheduled appointments at sometimes that have made me cancel at the last minute. Very unhappy....was told that i needed a total scale cleaning that totaled somewhere in the neighboorhood of $680...would not give me a base cleaning...also tried to sell me teeth whiteniing and capping that would have totaled close to $3500(this was on my first visit)....My daughter had the same experience and my friend who doesnt have one cavity was told he had cavities and needed the same full scale cleaning as my family needed. Nice office with very nice appointments but felt like I a car salesman in my mouth.... Ironically, my friend transferred to another dentist where again, no cavities and they gave him a regular routine cleaning....I have experienced this before as only about have of the dentist on the hmo dental list are reputable. read more

My tooth broke and they made me an appointment very quickly. The lab that made my crown did a poor job. The crown was way too large. I couldn't get floss between my teeth and had to go back three times to have it ground down. It never felt right. It hit and caught the teeth below every time I ate. Only a couple days after the last adjustment, which left it better but still hitting the tooth below, the tooth below broke. The dentist kinda made me feel like it was coincidence. I might believe that if we hadn't just had to adjust it three times for hitting. His fix was to grind down and smooth out the now broken tooth below. I suppose that was the least out of pocket fix for him. I had already spent 600 on that tooth and it was perfect until the the new crown above broke it. I spent 1500 dollars for a crown to fix a tooth but wound up with a new problem. The crown still doesn't feel right. I will say they were nice and accommodating, but the work was poor and now I'm looking for a new dentist to fix the tooth directly below the new crown. Reply to the dentist response........I came back four times. Your final fix was to grind down the now Newley broken tooth that your crown was hitting. You X-rayed my mouth before you started. Nothing else was wrong. I came back three times, then the tooth it was hitting breaks. It was no coincidence. You should have fixed the crown and the tooth it broke. Then you should find a new lab. When I came back the last time I was there to see what you were willing to do. read more

I am pleased to say that I found my Dentist office and love how professional Dr.Igal and his staff are. Dr.Igal and his staff are so welcoming! I needed to have a few filings and one wisdom tooth to be removed. I was very nervous and scared from my last dental office, because of the pain I felt and how they left my face bruised after. So when I had my fillings done I didn't feel the shot or had no idea when Dr. Igal removed my tooth. I even had to ask him if it was out yet, so I can prepare myself for the pain. He then told me that it's been out already, I was so shocked that I didn't feel pain and even more I wasn't left with any bruises on my face. I chose to come to Elite Dentistry based on the fact that this dentist has a family member who is a children's dentist, and she is awesome! Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience and won't be back. I was a little nervous to begin with because I usually rely on word of mouth to pick my dentist since I have high anxiety when it comes to dental work. I wish now I would have asked around first! I am a very hard person to get numb, and from the first moment I stepped into the office, I was direct with letting them know I was anxious and hard to numb. I was assured this would be no problem. My first exam went ok, the recommendation was a crown. When I returned for my crown, my experience was awful. Sure enough, the first round of numbing wasn't enough. There was also no dental comfort measure such as external numbing gel before the injections, Vaseline for my lips, or a bite block/bite rest for my jaw (after two hours, chapstick doesn't cut it and my lip and jaw were so uncomfortable). After finally achieving a numb status, Dr. Igal did the prep for the crown and then left me in the hands of his assistant; this is where the care changed. After 45 minutes, (another assistant had also come into the room), the two of them still couldn't make my temporary crown fit. The attempts to force the crown on my tooth were painful and I didn't count, but it was probably close to 10 tries. Dr. Igal finally comes back in to check on why it's not done and offers to step in and help. Bad for me-I was no longer numb. He then tells them they should have let him know this before I reached this point. He goes to renumb me, hits a nerve and it felt like fire shot up my face. By the time I was numb again, it felt my eye lid was numb. I was crying and vocalized that I was hard to numb and had anxiety and wished they would have listened. This is where his bed side manned changed and he became very rude and insensitive. I would have left the office that day and never looked back, but, unfortunately, I had to return to get the crown seated (yep, still took two rounds of numbing; when I said my lower teeth felt numb and not my upper, he said it was referred and not real). In between the temporary and permanent crown, I let the office know I was in a lot of pain. They did offer to have me come in the second day I complained of it, but I couldn't and the next available was 4 days later (my original day). I payed prior to the procedure and had been given a $75 off certificate (these cards are on their counter), but I forgot to present it until I was leaving and it was dismissed and not placed on my account. Overall, the end result of the tooth is ok, the office staff was renice and did follow up with me to make sure the tooth was no longer hurting, but I still won't return. **update-the staff did reach out to me after my review and did what they could to try and make it right. My bill was adjusted and they encouraged me to be seen by them or another dentist as my problem has persisted with my tooth. read more

I highly recommend to stay clear from this dentist. His hygienists are good and a very sweet staff but he's rude never says hello to his patients never greets you as you walk by his desk. Thank god I only had seen him maybe half a dozen times for the 3 years we had him. Only comes in when he wants to up sell you on something. If you don't go with his recommendations or if you have questions beware of the attitude and rudeness. I was very concern about my daughters X-ray and what he was saying and I was asking him lots of questions, because you know I'm not a dentist, and my daughter was very uncomfortable. He was so rude, pushed his chair back threw his hands up.... Well I took her else where. For the pass 3 years he had been charging us, my whole family an extra $50 on top of my regular cleaning amount of $22 every visit for a procedure for cleaning where my insurance did not cover and I never knew it. I was told this $72 charge was our co pay. Total fraudulent tactic. And he will respond with our X-rays will back his procedure. Ok thats all well and good but how about informing us that it's a procedure that isn't covered by insurance and if we want this done it will be an extra $50.... No he took it upon himself and said its my regular cleaning co pay. Which is a total lie. This is his way of making more money, to stick it to his patients, because my insurance is Smilesaver and I was told that he doesn't make any money off our visits. I have a friend who told me to stay clear when I first was assigned to his office.. he had told her she had 14 cavities and needed them filled, she went for a second opinion, she had NOT ONE!! .... I recommend Dr. Huss in Newbury Park. No BS, honesty, friendly, a true professional and I'm pleased to say our new family dentist. We signed up for an HMO plan which was my first mistake. Then we chose this dentist because he was close and the office looked nice which was my second mistake. This guy is terrible!!! He would not provide me with a basic cleaning-he insisted that I add irrigation for $75 (obviously that wouldn't be included in my plan). I've NEVER required anything other then a normal cleaning.
