I have had dental problems for a long time and recently have had to look into getting implants. I am 25 years old and am pretty young for all this dental work and therefore have been skeptical on who to trust. I had a tooth extracted years ago and a recent root canal crown that fell off. I found this office and I impulsively made an appointment which was made so easily and so fast by the front desk. I was scheduled and upon showing up, new patient forms were all one on a tablet making these super easy and fast! I was taken in to get some imaging prior to the dentist coming in. Doctor was very knowledgeable in treatment plans and very kind when explaining and answering my questions. He physically showed me my radiology tests so I can see it for myself. He made me feel very confident in the treatment plan and I felt like I was in good hands. This past Friday we started my treatment by first extracting my tooth and starting the bone graft process. He was very kind and patient with my low pain tolerance and upon starting, the tooth was out in no longer than 5 minutes! His assistant was super nice and supportive. I was given clear instructions on what to avoid and what to do to help the recovery go smoothly. So far so good, I cannot wait to heal and to continue this process. I recently lost my insurance, which was a huge bummer, but it had a silver lining-it allowed me to meet the folks at Horizon implants. Apparently Medi-Cal covers a pretty decent amount of dental work, however, finding a specialist is harder than pulling teeth (forgive me, I couldn't resist) they referred me to Horizon, which was in the same building and was also able to work me in for an extraction of a broken tooth as a walk in, which is pretty awesome! It wasn't that they weren't busy, they worked me in very quickly, and the procedure was done with a minimal discomfort, and Medi-Cal covered everything!
