First 'covid-time' visit so wasn't 100% sure what to expect. The measures that they have taken to keep the staff and the patients safe are awesome. Felt totally comfortable and safe. We met Dr. Kleiger by a stroke of luck while he was on vacation and we were camping. My son was having orthodontia pain and Dr. Kleiger overheard us talking to the emergency line with his Orthodontist. He offered his assistance and we are so glad he did. He was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and caring and was able to remedy my son's issues so we could enjoy the rest of our vacation. I visited this dentist 6 years ago to get a retainer because I was grinding my teeth at night. I noticed throughout the years my mouth/jaw changing shape. I mentioned it to him all the time, but he would only take biting 4 image and told me my mouth was not changing shape. The last couple of years my bite has gone way out and my mouth has changed shape, so I visited with an orthodontist. The orthodontist wrote a letter stating that my mouth has completely changed shape and because it is causing me a lot of pain, I can not even sleep at night anymore. I went to two reconstruction dentists and they indicated that you never give a mouth piece that goes over the molers. He created a problem that now will cost me $5,000 to fix. I asked for help to reconstruct my mouth and he canceled us. I am suing the Doctor and I want others to be careful with any issue of him issuing a brace. read more

Once again Dr. Klieger and his staff bailed me out last minute when I was experiencing a lot of pain in my mouth right before a trip. Trish and Ashley are always super nice and accommodating. I had seen 2 physicians in the last 2 days due to excruciating neck, jaw, and mouth pain accompanied by severe headaches and overall feeling of sickness. Dr. Klieger discovered a virus that had manifested itself in my mouth causing an ulcer in my gums exposing bone and creating intense nerve pain. He quickly prescribed me a steroidal rinse that will begin the healing process. I'm 64 years old. I've dealt with many Doctors and Dental offices over the years. If you live in the Thousand Oaks or surrounding area, you will not find a better Dental practice than Dr. Ean Klieger and his staff. Down to earth, always accommodating, and incredibly competent. Ean is the best dentist ever! He remembers me and things about my life even when I haven't seen him in awhile. How does he do that when he has so many patients? The dental hygienists here really take their time cleaning your teeth, making sure they get every little spot and they are gentle with it. Unlike other places I've gone and had them do my whole cleaning in 15 minutes and leave me with a bloody painful mouth. These people really care. And Ean always comes to check and makes sure everything looks good and let's ya know what you can work on without making you feel bad. I love this place! Wish it was on my new insurance plan... but I'm working on that. read more

Dr. Ean Kleiger is hands down my favorite dentist in the world. I've been to a different dentist every six months because I've been on the move every six months, and Dr. Ean far surpasses all the others. The hygienest was incredibly sweet and gentle, and very thorough and encouraging. The full mouth x-rays were painless (usually they make me gag but the technology used here must be pretty new) and seemed to me to be scented, an added plus! Dr. Ean came in after the hygienest, and since I didn't have any major problems with my teeth, all he did was do a quick check, congratulate me on my healthy teeth, and bid me farewell. The office staff is so incredibly nice. I had no problems making my appointment, and she even let me reschedule a couple of times in a row. They try to be very flexible even if they're booked almost every hour of the day. I appreciate that I can fill out the forms online and come in ready to get my teeth checked. Probably the only dentist I will ever trust. Patient for life. If I could give 10 stars I would. I was referred to Dr Kleiger by a colleague after I broke a tooth in the back of my mouth and suffered from quite a bit of discomfort. I was absolutely terrified of going to the dentist and hadn't been since moving to the U.S. From the UK four years ago. Dentistry and Heath Care has always been something I can afford, so I've avoided it. Anyway, I had no choice but to see a dentist because the pain was getting worse. I met with Dr Kleiger, he put my mind at ease immediately and made me feel comfortable. His staff were lovely and very caring, and made sure I had everything I need. Dr Kleiger took an X-ray and talked me through my options, not pressuring me to do anything. He had his office manager discuss price with me. After learning my options I opted to have the tooth pulled - the thought of which terrified me. I scheduled for a week later. On the day of the extraction, Dr Kleiger explained the process and promised me that it wouldn't hurt, and be done before I know it. He was 100% correct. No pain and finished before I knew it! As you can expect the next few hours and days there was a considerable amount of soreness and aching. Dr Kleiger prescribed me painkillers which made it much more bearable. He even called me to check up on me a day or two later. His patient care is like no other. I'm really happy with the care and service I received. I would recommend him to anyone. Ean's office is just one you don't want to leave. The staff is so welcoming and friendly! He has a great team working for him and you can tell they all love working together. I initially came to Ean for Invisalign treatments and preventative measures (cleanings, check ups). He has done a beautiful job correcting my smile. The dentist is usually a doctor many fear, but he makes you feel very comfortable while still being professional. Last year I got the news that I would need an implant of a front tooth because of a random, unfortunate anomaly. Dr. Kleiger and his staff are absolutely amazing! I called late Monday evening in a panic about a crown falling out and they fit me in the next day. I had a crown that fell out due to Invisalign (both crown and Invisalign done by another office) and Dr. Kleiger took the time to assure me everything was fine and fixed the crown. He's so knowledgeable and explains everything so clearly. He takes the time to listen and his staff is just as knowledgeable and personable. I've seen a lot of dentists and he's absolutely hands down the best. He's above all honest and that's the hardest quality to find in a dentist! Love this office. 20 dentists later ...... and I finally have found one. I have been to SO many dentists and have had chronic TMJ and bite issues since I was very young. On top of that I have extreme nerve sensitivity which makes going to the dentist a nightmare (for both of us - yes I always feel bad for the dentist who has to work on me). Years ago a dentist said that I had grind down most of my teeth and after two rounds of braces to correct my bite I was told to get veneers - on ALL my teeth to restructure my bite. They ground down my teeth to nothing to put veneers on. Basically sold my life to pay for that and my dental visits went from rough to full blown panic attacks. He completely ruined my bite if that was at all possible from where I started. Years of breaking those teeth, grinding from pain, and taking pain meds to manage it and spending so much money getting each tooth that broke fixed. Living nightmare. So basically I got a lemon luxury car for teeth. A few years ago I broke a tooth on the weekend and went into full blown panic mode because I can't go any amount of time without it due to my nerve sensitivity and I found Dr. Kleiger and he CAME IN on a weekend. Most of the dentists Ive had before won't come in. I need a handful of shots to numb a single tooth just to get work done on it. YES I have had dentists in the past sigh and tell me to just take the pain it will be over soon.... which only made my anxiety for dental work grow (not to mention I couldn't sit still). Not Dr. Kleiger though.... he (patiently I might add) took the time to get me numb, ask me every minute or so if I was alright and if I were to feel pain to let him know immediately. My first thought was yeah, lets see how long that lasts..... and 20+ visits later he still asks the same thing over and over - making sure I am completely comfortable before working on me. I am blown away because it takes forever to get one tooth numb for me and I NEVER feel bad for asking or rushed. And poor guy he always sees me on my worst days (breaking a tooth). He has a great sense of humor, both he and his staff are ALWAYS asking AND remembering things about my personal life to make you feel comfortable. This office genuinly cares. Lets face it... no one likes the dentist office..... but his office and his amazing staff make it a walk in the park. read more

I just had to share my experience this morning. After a horrible experience (pain & super high costs) with a previous dentist (Thousand Oaks Dental)... I have not been to the dentist for many years. About a year ago my tooth (which I was previously told would eventually need a root canal) broke, it was extremely rotted and painful... but due to my fear, I still waited over a year to get it fixed. I had a girlfriend recommend Dr. Kleiger and I called to make an appointment. The woman who answered was very kind and it immediately made me feel better. You can do the paperwork on the Website ahead of time which was super easy. When I arrived a bit early, they got me straight in. The assistant (which was a super kind, calm man) I wish I remembered his name, but I immediately told him I was nervous and from that moment on, I felt like I was a family member. I mean.... I was so nervous my hands were shaking like a leaf!! The assistant often checked on me and offered water, a magazine... it was great. I don't event know why I got so worked up but the dr. and the assistant were amazing the entire time. He never made me feel uncomfortable for waiting so long to get my tooth fixed. He made a "root canal" seem like an easy procedure and that I had nothing to truly worry about. The dr. gave me many options to fix my tooth and I opted for the Root Canal, I felt like the pricing was very reasonable too. So, the root canal begins, the dr. was extremely careful that I did not feel a bit of pain and what felt like a short period of time I joked and said "are we done yet?" and the Dr. said "almost!" I was shocked! Seriously I was in and out in under an hour. I do need to go back a few times to get it all finished, but what a great team. I think its rare for someone to say my root canal appointment was one of the best dr. apts Ive had, but it truly was. If you are looking for a dentist, I can not recommend Dr. Kleiger more. Your teeth, are such a personal thing, and when you are in pain, it is that much more important to have a dr. who listens to you and cares. Thank you to the entire office!!! read more

I was recommended to Dr. Kleiger and was treated well the first two times, but the third time when it came to pay the bill it had jumped up considerably from the previous visit which was three months before for the same cleaning and exam. I e-mailed the office and complained and was told they would miss me and would send my records to the next dentist. Not even a mention of why the thirty three per cent jump in fees. All I can say is find out how much you are paying before you sit in the chair. Sure the Birthday and Holiday greetings are nice, but you're paying for them. read more

Dr. Kleiger is a pleasant to work with dentist. Nice staff and beautiful office but beware. I believe I was a case of over drilling and excess dental work that I did not need. I was a new mom with an infant, tired, and vulnerable. I was told that I had 7 cavities. I take excessive good care of my teeth, floss, etc.. I thought possibly it was due to pregnancy and nursing that caused the problem. As a tired mom of an infant, I allowed the work to be done. Afterwards, that night, I was in extreme excruciating pain. I went back in the next morning and was told that I would need two root canals. Of course to relieve the horrid pain, I had to work done. $3000 extra to pay after what my $1500 covered. I was left with two root canals, two crowns, and 5 fillings! I now look back being a few years wiser, this was entirely uncalled for. My daughter had a sports accident and had to have some dental work done. I then learned much more about good dental care. I look back at my work with this doctor and am appalled! My crowns are not even CEREC crowns but the horrid metal with enamel coating on top. This is on a canine tooth that shows towards the front. I am still so angry about all of this. I have seen some similar reviews here that have longed disappeared. One of them, Dr. Kleiger responded that he didn't recognize the name on the Yelp review. So now it is gone. If that poster is anything like myself, I do never post my personal information on a public website. I now have a complete distrust for dentist. I have seen way too many cases in my life time of dentist who are dishonest and use human beings to make $$$. I now have a wonderful dentist who goes to a friend's church and I know who answers to a high calling. That dentist is about to retire. So now on the hunt for a back up doctor for when that doctor leaves. Please beware out there. It is a wild dentist road out there! read more

I just got done with my teeth cleaning at Dr. Kleiger's office and have to say it was one of my top experiences at a dentist office. The office was very clean, decorated, and professional looking. I was in and out within an hour and fifteen minutes. They worked so fast and organized, without compromising quality of work. My hygienist Crystal was fantastic and exceptional. Dr. Kleiger was as friendly as a doctor can be. The office was not pushy one bit in trying to sell products or other services. That's my style of service. You will never regret going there and it will help you if you haven't gone in a long time to get you started on the care of your teeth. I did not have a pleasant experience at Dr. Kleiger's office. Dr. Kleiger was not able to fix my tooth problem and the result was a lot of pain. I ended up at another dentist who immediately corrected the problem. When I requested my records Dr. Kleiger's office sent me personal information on several other patients. When I called and explained what had happened, the office manager was rude and questioned why I wanted copies of my records. I had to call and call to finally get MY records. read more

I'm sorry. Love the staff and Dr Kleiger almost to the point of feeling apologetic for this review, but I have to be honest about my family's experience. My crowns have never been a great fit (even after bringing it to their attn several times) and some fillings don't match well. Initially, like other reviewers, I was thrilled when he told all my family that none of us had the cavities diagnosed by our previous dentist. But, over the years, I realized while we very rarely had simple cavities diagnosed, even after complaining of pain in the area, we were regularly diagnosed with cavities that had progressed to needing root canals. I have seen enough dentists to know that it's not typical to go from a healthy tooth to needing a root canal in 6-12 mths in between check-ups. Not saying it doesn't happen, but if you're all taking care to brush and floss and this is still regularly happening with each family member.....sorry, that's not normal. What killed it for me (well, in addition to another dentist finding large deep cavities under the crowns!) was just an increasing lack of attention to the quality of work, fillings falling out, temp crowns that looked like George Washington's wooden teeth (I don't care if it's a temp situation! Make them look real like every other dentist!), eventual plaque lines appearing around fillings not smoothly filed flush to the tooth, and other details I'm leaving out. When I brought some of these things to his attn, he basically said not to look at it in a magnifying mirror! That's the last time any of us went to him. Again, sorry for the bad review.
